If the item weighs less than 4 pounds there are two options for shipping. First Class International is a low cost shipping method. BUT IT DOES NOT OFFER TRACKING OPTIONS. If you want to be able to track the item you need to request Priority Mail International. It is more expensive, but you will be able to track the progress of the shipment. This is a well-made piece by a highly skilled artisan; probably a Pennsylvania pottery, ca.1860 or earlier. The Semi-Ovoid form is topped with a slightly-squared lip profile. The exterior is unglazed, with age-appropriate wear and typical imperfections throughout. The Lead-Glazed interior is superb! Very reminiscent of Redware Cream Jars created by the Bell Family, with a slightly narrower lip profile. Please see photos for details and consider them as part of the description. It is extremely rare to find such a large piece without significant damage, cracks or repairs! Weighing in at exactly 15lbs. this Semi-Ovoid ... moremeasures 11-1/2"W x 12"H overall. The base and inner rim diameters measure 8-3/4" and 10-3/8" respectively. Displays exceptionally(especially as a cachepot) and any Redware Collector's dream! Posted with

Antique Stoneware: Crock/jar w/ Cobalt Decoration, 1 Gall?
Beautiful cobalt decorated stoneware crock. It has fabulous decoration which looks like leaves on a vine. It also looks like hearts. It is marked on the front and I believe it to say West Troy Pottery. It measures 7.5 tall and 8 inches across the top. It has a couple of OLD chips on the front and a couple of very small flea bites on one ear. There is also a tight crack on one side. There are lots pf pictures. None of this distracts from the appearance. This stoneware crock is not in mint condition so if you are wanting mint please don't bid. This is an old utilitarian piece and used as such. All sales are final. Insurance is included in my shipping charge. If it seems high. Please don't bid. I have this packed professionally and shipped ups so it gets there in one piece. Otto Lewis was the first potter to locate here with many firms being formed soon after. George Satterlee opened the Fort Edward Pottery Co. in 1859. Michael Mory joined the firm in 1861 to form Satterlee and Mory. J. A. C. W. Underwood ran a pottery firm. Which opened in 1865 and closed in 1867. Haxstun, Ottman& Co. ran it from 1867 to 1872 on the site of the former Underwood Pottery. In 1872, Haxstun withdrew from Ottman and the firm became known as Ottman Brothers. In 1875. A pottery opened on the corner of Broadway and Argyle Street under the ownership of Haxstun and Company. Later it was purchased by the Tilford Brothers, who were succeeded by George S. Guy. The Fort Edward Stoneware Association was formed in February of 1883 by a group of pottery manufacturers. In 1892, the Hilfinger Brothers purchased the Guy Pottery, which was to remain in operation until 1941. Unlike the former stoneware manufactures, the Hilfinger produced earthenware pottery from native clay.

H. GILBERT, GENERAL MERCHANT, MANSFIELD Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Crock
H. GILBERT. GENERAL MERCHANT, MANSFIELD" Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Crock Up for sale is this very cool cobalt blue decorated stoneware crock. Marked"H. GILBERT, GENERAL MERCHANT, MANSFIELD. We can't recall seeing this very charming mark before, and can't seem to find any record of stoneware being sold with this mark, so we're guessing it's at least very scarce if not quite rare. Probably dates to the late 1800's, we're also guessing. We're also not sure, but believe this is either from Mansfield, Ohio or Mansfield, Massachusetts. We invite emails with further information that we can add to this listing. Nicely decorated with a cobalt feather like design below the cobalt washed merchant stamp. And a stamped"2" for a 2 gallon crock above it. Measures about 8 and 3/4 inches tall and 9 and ... more1/2 inches across. There is a crack that begins at the top edge left of the decoration and ends on the base as can be seen in the photos. Otherwise, it appears to be in surprisingly good shape. The only other flaws are in the making glaze pops as can be seen in the photos, one just above the g in general(with a bit of cobalt glaze over it) and then there's one on the interior and two on the back side(each about 1/4 inch across) and some minor imperfections, scratches and wear as to be expected with a utilitarian stoneware piece. Please see photos, and let us know if you need more or need more information. Displays wonderfully! We're offering this beautiful piece of stoneware with a starting bid of only $1.00. Antique Unknown Missouri or Illinois Stoneware Crock - Notched Band Marked Rim
For sale is an antique stoneware crock. I have not seen a similar one before. It has a band made up of small notches that go all the way around the crock. Also has a backwards 4 and another line stamped into the rim. Appears to be about a 4 gallon crock. Not in the best shape- has a large y shaped crack on side and some other narrow hairlines on sides. Some cracks on the bottom as well. Some small chips or pock marks on the side walls and interior- I assume these are flaws and not created by the firing process. Found at a sale in wright city Missouri, I assume it is a Missouri or Illinois Pottery Piece The brown on the inner walls is dull or matte. Not the gloss like one usually sees Click on pictures to enlarge for more details Shipping is FedEx ground to lower 48 states. Can not ship to po boxes Missouri residents must pay 8.35% sales tax

Awesome Antique Stoneware Brown Jug or Crock!
This is a WONDERFUL! VERY OLD stoneware jug or crock! It has some interesting imperfections. It has a beautiful rich brown glaze on the inside and outside. There are some very minor chips in the underside and edge of the lid. Other than that it is perfect! There are no cracks or damage anywhere else. It is about 8 inches from handle to front and roughly about 6 inches tall. I have no idea how far back this goes in my family. It truly looks like it could have sat in one of their pioneer homes of the 1800s. There is no mark on the bottom. I am setting a reserve of $55 on this. Thanks for bidding!

Antique Stoneware: Rare 3/4 Gal. Crock w/ Bold Cobalt Fern Design, ca.1870, NR
This is a great-looking Salt-Glazed Crock in a very HTF size with capacity of 3/4 Gal. Features a Slip-Trailed primitive Fern Design in brilliant Cobalt. This piece is unmarked. But probably New England made, ca.1870. Most likely thrown by Somerset Potters' Works or the Edmands factory; both were located in Massachusetts. In addition to the design, there are two parallel incised lines near the top and bottom of the applied lug handles. There is a rich, brown interior glazed with Albany Slip. There is a chip or stone pop on the inside(rear) about 1" from the rim. the associated hairline runs down the backside about 5" but very tight and stabilized(see photos) There is also a horizontal spider line on the glaze surface, just below the left handle. This is really insignificant, but worth noting. The Salt Glaze is thick, shiny and ... moreconsistent with a pebble-like texture. See photos for close-ups, details and further description. Overall, a fine 19thC. New England Crock that displays exceptionally well in any Country or Primitive setting. I rarely find very many in this petite size! This scarce 3/4Gal. measures 8-1/4"W x 6-3/4"H overall. The base and inner rim diameters are 7-3/4" and 6-1/2" respectively. Posted with

Antique Stoneware, Salt-Glazed Brown Crock, Catawba Valley, Carolina Primitive
Exceptional quality. Small alkaline or salt glazed, primitive antique crock. 6 1/4 inches high, about 3 inch top diameter, about 4 1/4 inch bottom diameter. Looks to be just under 5 inches around(diameter) in the middle. Nice luster, looks different in every kind of light. Glaze is nicely variegated- study photos to get the feel and look of this relatively heavy piece(for its size) Does not appear to be missing a lid- the way the opening was made, I do not believe this ever had a lid, at least not a ceramic one that would have been incorporated into the clay design when the piece was hand thrown. Looks like this crock could originate from the Catawba Valley Pottery, but just my opinion. Glaze& form reminds me a little bit of Pewabic Pottery pieces, but not iridescent. Not much wear given its age- glaze has rubbed off in a few small spots ... morearound the rim(see photo) but no serious chips or cracks. Bottom is unmarked. All sales are final- no returns. Please ask questions before bidding. Shipping to Lower 48 States only. No international sales. Payment due within 3 days of auction end. If you have a feedback score of 10 or less, you must contact me before bidding. In"as found" condition- this item is vintage, and not new. Photos are as important as my written description. Please review all the photos carefully, including at close-up magnification.

RARE Wm. Hare Stoneware Crock 7" Wilm. Del. Almost Perfect
Up for sale is a near perfect Wm. Hare stoneware crock. With a rare indentation of his name done nicely probably by his apprentice that clearly shows Wm. Hare, Wilm. Del. This crock has a 1/2t half inch chip on the underside of the top ridge. This chip is very shallow, being about 2 millimeters as best that I can measure. This crock is the most glossy crock that I have ever seen. The most unusual item on this crock is the speckled black and brown dots in the glaze around the top of the crock. This had to be caused by some different element in the salt that was thrown into the kiln during the firing. This crock is 7" tall and is one of the best examples of Wm.Hare's work that I have ever seen survive. This is truly a collector's piece.

Antique Lord Stoutenburg & Co. Chicago Illinois Stoneware Salt Glazed Crock IL
This is an Antique Lord Stoutenburg& Co. Chicago Stoneware Crock. This is a cool old crock and it really shows it's age. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find any information on this company. I did find a bunch of Stoutenburg genealogy information but nothing that led to this business. There are a couple of hairline cracks and one major repair to this crock so please inspect the pictures very carefully. It has a couple of minor chips out of the top lip. It is quite obvious this crock will not hold liquids and cannot be used for canning or sauerkraut but for a collector, it would be a great find as I have yet to see another like it. It measures 10 1/4" tall x 5" in diameter at the top x 6 1/2" in diameter at the base. Thanks for looking! Questions welcome. Rare Old Stoneware Crock Lid Nice Design 2 or 3 Gallon crock 10" lid
Up for auction today is a Vintage S to neware lid Unknown ma ker and item this goes on. But. I found it on top of a Monmouth 2 Gallon crock, and it fit, but just a bit big and d id not look right. So I am pretty sure it did not go with it-but would assume it would be for a 2 or 3 gallon stoneware crock. Measures just over 1 0.25" diameter and is 8.5" wide at t he insert that goes into the crock. That part is be veled or ang eled. So 8.5" is the outer most measurement. 7.75" is the inmost measurement. 2.5" tall S hipping will be $ 1 2.95. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask! H ave a great day and good luck!
