" on the bottom, and measures 4 inches from ear to tail, 2 1/2 inches at the highest and 2 1/4 inches at the widest. While more of the gold colored finish remains on the cat than on a lot of spelter pin cushions like this one, it does have a crack starting at the rim of the cushion and extending down to the top of the back foot. The cushion is soiled and has cracks in the surface.

Antique French newel post lamp Heroic female figure in spelter with a brass foliate circle both with attractive bronze patinantion and two sockets with copper plated iron cups Signed A Rucho on the base and marked Made in France dating from around 1910 It is currently wired for a newel post with no cord. This is the spelter Ansonia Clock Lion called KING OF THE BEAST made in 1904. It has the original patina and has no repairs or damage to it. It is 9 ½” long and 5 ¾” high and 4” wide. This is the Junghans Elephant swinger statue made of spelter with original patina. This is not a reproduction made of brass this the real statue ready for the movement to installed on the trunk of the elephant. The ball at the end of the trunk has the hole with threads to insert the bar that will hold the movement. This does not include the bar or the movement only the Elephant in original condition with some minor flaking of the finish on the wood base. This statue is guaranteed to be original and in excellent condition and with a very detailed casting.

This is a lovely antique Art Nouveau metal spelter mantel clock topper statue of a seated lady figurine. The woman is sitting on bricks. There's a soldier's shield in the bottom right-hand corner and a sailing boat sail right above it. It looks as if her hand(the one out front) was repaired at some point. There are smatterings of red paint along the bottom in the rear and a little in the front. I don't know where this came from. Vintage metal mantle clock in the shape of a castle and tower. This clock looks to date from the early 20th century and is hollow-cast in a gold finished spelter metal with excellent detail in the castle stonework and crenelated towers. The clock rises from the castle' s central round tower and is intact with its crystal and mechanism. It starts to tick. But doesn't continue very long, so the mechanism needs to be fixed. The clock stands 11.5" tall on a 5" by 4" base and weighs 2 lbs. 12 oz. There is no identifying mark or manufacturer that I can see. The castle clock is in very good shape with no noticeable cracks, breaks or missing pieces. A very cool and unusual metal building replica with a clock on top. The EAGLE design is spectacular, the feathers, wings, claw feet, beek, and the face are amazing and how he made the claw feet look so real. Beautiful hand painted colors, and how did they get those yellow glass eyes so deep into the head. The clock face is white with black numbers and blued steel hands, the face is covered by a round glass dome hinged door in excellent condition and the glass looks old. The brass 8 Day movement is spring driven time only, marked MDAE IN GERMANY, JEWELED, and it runs well. This majestic Eagle perched on a rock is signed A. The home was located in an historical neighborhood. And the home was filled with lovely High RENAISSANCE era items and American antiques. We were drawn to these detailed and astute spelter statues of a Italian man and woman set in bronze that sat upon the mantle of the fireplace in the fine estate of this doctor's and his family's home. DESCRIPTION: Art Nouveau Spelter bronze Victorian Renaissance era man and woman statues ~ unknown maker. They stand a little more 12" tall- large in size. This man and woman adorn the attire from the Victorian period. The sculpture shows delicate features and shapely figure. Wonderful detail and expression ... moredescribes this high quality piece. Statue dates back to turn-of-the-century. These bronze statues weigh 4.5 lbs for the woman and almost 6 lbs is the man. This is a large SPHINX metal statue with wings. I appears to be a copy of the Ansonia Clock Company statue but with wings. The right wing has been repaired at some time next to the body of the Sphinx. It is 10" long and 51/4" tall and 3 1/4" front to back. It is not Ansonia clock statue. The finish appears to be original and is almost black. If you have any questions please ask I want you to be happy when you recieve this large Sphinx.

With a tinned surface, rectangular in form with a hinged lid. The lid is embossed in high relief to depict a scroll dragon, and the sides are cast with scrolling dragons within water. This measures 5.7 cm in length. 4.0 cm in width and 3.1 cm in height. It weighs 106 grams. The condition is excellent. He's angry. Happy, singing, in pain? I found this many years ago and he has been sitting on the edge of my bookshelf ever since. It is a very strange and not totally attractive piece. It is unusual. After I bought it I managed to find a photo of one in a reference book. I thought it was one of my books. But evidently not because I cannot find it again. It was listed as an incense burner. I imagine you would put the incense into the pot he is supposed to be sitting on and the smoke would rise from his mouth. It looks as though at one time someone tried to use him as a bottle opener, as some of his teeth are pushed in. He has been used and abused. Can you give him a home.and a pot to p in? A great vintage spelter or pot metal horse statue. Looks like a Quarter Horse or Western type with Western saddle and bridle. This figurine is 5 1/4" high. 6 1/2" long, and is 2" deep. It has a brass or bronze finish. No damage, just tiny scuffs on the top rump of the horse. It has great detail and nice weight to it. Unmarked as to the maker.

HUGE 24" ANTIQUE FRENCH ONYX MARBLE FIGURAL AUGUST MOREAU SPELTER STATUE CLOCK
Just acquired out of a wonderful private Midwest estate. We are able to offer this late 1800's era, VERY IMPRESSIVE" ~ VICTORIAN FRENCH FIGURAL SPELTER STATUE CLOCK ~. This would have been a fairly expensive clock to purchase back in the 1880's era and not many could afford such a fine luxury. We do not often see clocks that are as fancy and high end as this one. This is a fairly large clock measuring almost 24 inches tall by 10 inches wide by 9 inches deep. It has a beautiful natural onyx marble base and the entire clock weighs an amazing 31 pounds. The spelter statue is signed Aug. MOREAU, a very well known French sculptor. The clock is running, and has only been tested for a short time, and I would certainly imagine it could use a good cleaning and servicing because it has been tucked away for a very long time in the estate. ... moreThe over all condition is pretty decent with a few things that need to be mentioned. The top spelter has separated from the base and simply needs to be placed back on with a strong adhesive. It actually just sits fine and looks good with the stature just placed on the base" it fits perfectly and is quite sturdy and secure" The good news is that the clock will be easier and much safer to ship this way, so we did not attatch it back to the base. The spelter statue itself is in nice condition with no damage or repairs. I also see a chip on the porcelain dial as well as some expected hairline cracks- see picture. The last thing that I see which needs to be mnetioned is what looks like a minor repair to the back side of the onxy base where is a piece came loose and was put back, see picture# 9. Please understand that we are selling this clock as found as it will require some restoration if desired. It displays exceptionally well and would be the center attraction in most any room you would choose to display it in.
