Its marked“France on the back” It also comes with 2 swan candle vases with marble bases. They are also marked“France” The clock still works and comes with the key. Its marked made in France on the front and in the back workings of the clock it says the following“No Auusted. Victorian Cast Metal Spelter Shelf Clock Dogs Labradors
This is a wonderful original Victorian shelf clock. I tried to take enough pictures to show condition. It definately shows signs of age but has been lovingly cared for throughout the years. There are a pair of dogs. possibly Labradors. At the base of the clock with a chain between them. The clock is about 7 inches tall from the base to the tip of the ornamental top. The top is not securely fastened as it is missing 2 small metal screws or pins which could be replaced. There are signs of an early repair to the base as seen from the inside but does not affect the appearance. I can find no makers mark although there may be one on the inside of the clock. It ticks when wound and the hands still move. Please email with any questions.

One of us thinks that– since it was made when autos and electric lights were still something of a novelty– it's a statement embracing modernity. The other one says that the first one is over-thinking it. Whatever it stands for. This Art Nouveau/ Art Deco clock-lamp by Gibraltar(New Jersey) is a variation of one of their popular models. This model, 832, never included horses, and did include a lamp. It's made of gilt spelter, or another white metal. A magnet does not stick to it. It's 10.5” long X 10” high X 4.5” deep, and heavy for its size. The lamp was rewired. Probably in the 1950s. It has an old Eagle fatboy socket. It works. Determined facial features,and uniform with pith helmet indicative of this time period, 1900- 1920) Total ht. 26 in. The figure alone is 19 in. tall and sits on a 61/2" diameter wood base marked Germany The soldier is holding a flag in each hand although one arm has broken off cleanly as shown in the pictures.I have the intact arm and both flags. You are bidding on a dial bezel from Ansonia Clock Co. Original nickel plated cast brass bezel. With thick beveled glass, the dial is porcelain and signed by Ansonia Clock Co. Roman numerals with center opening for open escapement movements, typically used in Statue Spelter Iron clocks. Hinge is in good condition. Nickel plated bezels from Ansonia are hard to find, generally you'll see brass bezels. Original old& beveled glass, some loss to nickel plating on the sides. Beautiful antique spelter Ansonia clock topper. Has a Lady sitting on a chair holding a box of jewelry in one hand and what looks like a piece of jewelry she is admiring in the other hand. This wonderful clock topper has great detail and is in good shape. The only problem I can find with it is that the ball part of the jewelry in the woman's hand is gone. The only way I even noticed this though is because i'm selling another one that looks just like it right now and that one has the piece of jewelry hanging off the woman's hand. Pair of antique Ansonia spelter clock toppers. They are both toppers of women sitting in two different poses. One is sitting on a bench and the other is sitting holding a harp in one hand. Both of these clock toppers have some wear to the finish. They also each have a crack on the back side of the topper. The woman holding the harp has a crack on the leg of the bench. Which does not go all the way through. The other lady sitting has a crack on the bench as well as a very small one close to the leg of the woman. You Are Looking At" D A P H N E" A Classic Ansonia Clock Topper Measuring 6 1/4H x 9L x 3D" 15.875 H cm x 22.86L cm x 7.62D cm This Figural Greek Goddess Is Made Of Cast Spelter, Is Hollow. With It's Exposed Original Mold Marks. This classically draped Victorian female figure resting on a Classic Ionic column was most probably on top of a Mantel Clock, See Inset Sample Photograph) or Desk Accessory. It Dates To 1904. The Original Matt Black/ Bronzed Finish Coating. Is In Near Mint Condition. With A Beautiful Natural Patina. Except for a slight paint chip on the right foot of the figure, there are no other chips. Cracks, breaks or damage to this statue. Pictured in the Tran Du Ly'Ansonia Clocks and Watches' reference book, and has been given the name"Daphne" DAPHNE In Greek mythology. Daphne was a wood ... morenymph, meaning she was a young woman who befriended the likes of Dionysus and his satyrs. Said to be shot by Eros' arrow. The God Apollo fell drastically in love with her. But she refused him. Apollo continued to pursue her. Until she ran to her father Peneus, and begged to be turned into a tree. Peneus. We have for sale these two vintage spelter metal based lamps. These set of twins stand 21 1/2 inches tall from their base to the top of their uniquely designed frosted glass trimmed shades. Each one has it's own stylish lady on one bended knee. While holding a bountiful pot overhead. A lovely example of classic Art Nouveau. They both have been rewired and as you can see, are in working order. One of them has evidence of the house dire it was in a few years back, but mostly all it did was make the metal more shiny in some spots and a little darker in others, which really just adds more character, so I'm reluctant to call it"smoke damage" but please look carefully from the pictures provided and judge for yourselves. This statue was made at a French foundry right around the year 1900 and it is done after a sculpture by Auguste Moreau. It is signed Aug. Moreau and there is a title plaque on the base that reads Danse Printaniere Par. AUG. MOREAU(Sculptr) This sculpture depicts an Art Nouveau stylized woman wearing a light blue dress with a light sage green scarf going around above her head in a circle. She is standing on the ground with flowers and greenery behind her back foot. This statue was actually originally a lamp but is missing the fixture but in my opinion it looks much better this way. SIGNED MOREAU FRENCH SPELTER LATE 1800's WOMAN AND CHERUP
Eloquently expressing a woman with a wine cup attempting to keep it out of reach of the small cherub. The Moreau family could have only created this stunning statue rendered in spelter then given a multi-hued patinaed bronze finish for a stunning effect. Hand-painted enameled surrounded by a variety of classical motifs in full relief. The wind appears to be blowing the mother's scarf. As she attempts to hold the cup up out of reach. The small cherub is climbing and reaching to no avail to reach the woman's cup. What wonderful detail! Set upon an intricately wooded carved base. It is poised to create a focal point for your favorite room. The base has an unnoticeable and extremely small hairline crack, pictured) not unusual for a piece of art of this age. Moreau Signature also pictured. Circa 1890. Measures 22" High and 9" ... morewide. Item is being sold AS IS with insurance to cover the cost of shipping. No promises made about the statue as they range in price from 600.00 to 1500.00 and signature is on the back of the statue that proves it is an authentic Moreau. Small hairline crack in wood base can not be seen from any distance. It adds character to the age of the statue and it is not moving or spreading, seems to be stable an the base is in very good shape, the crack does not go through to the inside of the base or is not spreading any where else on the base. I was told at time of purchase that the small crack was made during WWII in France.

French spelter lady clock. The lady has original dinanderie detailing to her dress. The clock is made of black marble and onyx and it measures 18"5 inches long by 4"4 inches deep by 10. inches high. In very good vintage used condition with just a little minor age wear to the ladies skin patina. We have had the clock working so the movement is good.

Antique VTG JB Jennings Brothers Spelter Chalice Pickle Castor Art Nouveau #2221
Rare find at estate sale- antique JB Jennings Brothers lidded jar/chalice made of spelter. Which is a pewter like alloy of lead and zinc. I believe this is actually a pickle castor according to some research I have done but can not be definite. I originally got it because it looked like a chalice and kind of gothic. The metal lid and outside casing is adorned with raised repouse design of fruits. Nuts and leaves. The fruit scrolling gives it a very Art Nouveau. Victorian feel. Made in the early 1900's and measures approximately 8.25 inches tall. The lid at the base measures 4.25 inches in diameter and the base is 3.25 inches across. Original glass insert is missing- I placed a red candle inside to show what it would look with an insert and it can be include it if you want it.
