The wooden bases have name plates"Denicheuse Par Bruchon" and"Passage Du Gue Par Bruchon" each of the statue is also signed by French sculptor, Emile Bruchon(1880-1910) Both the statues are in good condition. With some light green finish, which possibly is original, I dont see any major damage or issues, having said that I am not claiming that they are damage free, there might be issues beneath the finish, so please review pictures or ask for more. I am not expert on statues. However the girl's fingers looks like repaired, as one of the fingers is thinner then the other, and roughness on the others. Pair Antique Figural Art Deco Spelter Lady Lamps Iridescent Aurene Shades
Description What a find! Two bronzed matching scarf dancer lamps a la Isadora Duncan. The creator of what is now called"modern dance" As if performing a duet these two semi-nude dancers with their scarves wound around their semi-nude bodies are in perfect synchrony. Choreographed with left and right exotic poses that counter balance each other. Just like two Isadora's. And to add to the spectacular performance. Each one is fitted with a glass aurene lily shade(that slips into a fancy leaf design holder) which throws a wonderful golden iridescent glow over the dancers. Inside each shade the gold iridescence creates an amazing halo effect with changing colors radiating out from the center, going from gold to pink, to purple, to turquoise bands, back to gold, then a darker brownish-gold rim. The condition is excellent for a 100 year lifetime. I only found one smidgen of missing bronze patina(photo# 16) It's in the back of one of the stem stems. Invisible from the front. Each lamp is re-wired with an on/off switch and stands approximately 10 1/2 inches high. The hand-blown Tiffany style shades(you can see an occasional characteristic bubble on the glass) are 5 inches high with a 1-inch fitter. They have a satin finish on the outside with a ribbed design. The inside has a shine. The shades are in mint condition. They are not the original shades. But they are magnificent on these lamps. Here is a hard to find antique spelter clock statue of a folk costumed. Seated young farm worker gathering a wheat harvest. This nostalgic highly detailed casting was probably a European import for Francis Kroeber, Ansonia, or other clock manufacturer/importer for mass American market appeal, and can be found pictured in old trade catalogs. The piece retains very sharply detailed features but, typical of these survivors, has lost most of its delicate plating over its many years. Underside reveals two old screw holes at either end suggesting this may have at one time been mounted to base or clock top. Here is a very nice spelter clock from a local estate. Has a little damage. The front foot is repaired. Missing the tips of two leaves and some of the bronzing is worn off. The girl and clock are in very good condition. The animal looks more like a fox to me, maybe a dog. The clock runs, but will need adjusted when moved. A very delicate sounding bell counts the hour. It was working about 2 years ago when it was moved from my late brother in laws home. I don't have the key and don't want to touch it as I am not qualified to do so. Very handsome sculpture of a stag on a white marble base. White marble base sits on what appears to be black and tan Onyx. Glass door covering clock face is broken at lower right corner. Up for auction is a gorgeous pair of antique 1920's-40's Art Nouveau figural spelter table lamps refinished in matte powder gold. These lamps have two semi nude water nymphs holding water/wine jugs on their shoulders and leaning on fences. Draped around there heads are alternating old crystals that match perfectly on both lamps. There is a Greek or Polynesian feel to the figures with wine leaf dress and bead necklaces. Old style paper& dripping wax covers are on the old sockets that work great. Old wire still in good condition with two added roller switches to turn on an off. This pair of exotic lamps would look great as sideboard lamps in a fancy dining room but their over the top design would look great anywhere. Pair Vintage Spelter Retriever Setter Spaniel Dog Head Bookends on Marble Base
This auction is for a vintage pair of dog head bookends. They are made of cast spelter and are hollow. They have a nice aged dark patina but must have been either brass or bronze colored at one time. The bases are real marble. Each is attached to its base by two small bolts but I have not tried to remove either dog from its base to check for a makers mark. Height with base is 6 inches. Base measures 3" by 5" and there are a few very tiny chips to the sharp edges of the bases but nothing that takes away from the good looks of each piece. Just adds to the age and character of the bookends. There are a number of dog breeds which these heads can represent so the new owner can choose which breed these bookends best represents. Wiring has been done in a way that does not damage the lamp or the brass font. The cord i s brand new for user safety. Stands 29" tall. Made of spelter on the lower half with the top half being brass. The shade is ruby red with very minor roughness around the inside of the rim-it may have had a brass ring at one time. A few minor scratches to the outside of the glass. I tried to show these but they are very had to see. The cherub holds a cornucopia and is standing with a fish on a very ornate base. I just love his sweet little face. W orks perfectly!

Fleurs Chinois Dragons. Fruits and ornate flower bouquets decorate this handsome old Chinese bud vase made of bronze-finished cast spelter. The decorations are in relief; very detailed and painted with several colors including metallic gold. The shape is tall and curvy with applied dragon handles and flared footed base. The casting is done in four parts as seen in the seams on the base. Spelter vases were also made in France and England in the popular Chinois style but I believe this is from China. An RARE Antique Rene Charles Masse French Bronzed Spelter Duelist Statue ca. 1910" L'Affaire d'Honneur" Rene Charles Masse(1855 ~ 1913) was a French billiards expert who invented the" Masse shot" in billiards when one hits the cue ball at a downward angle causing it to spin in a curve. He was so successful in billiards that he was afforded leisure and time to be a painter and sculptor. It seems that he concentrated mainly on male subjects to sculpt and this wonderful statue by him certainly celebrates the athletic male form! The statue is cast in spelter and has an applied gold paint finish and stands on a black painted circular wood base. This remarkable sculpture is included in the 3-volume Bronzes: Sculptors& Founders 1800- 1930 by Harold Berman and is in Volume 3. Page 673, illustrated figure 2480.
