This large antique mantle clock retains its original Gold Gilt surface. At the top is an ancient medieval King on horseback. Measuring across the front, this Victorian mantle Clock is 17” long by 5” deep and the overall height to the top of the King’s crown is 18” There are some problems with this clock. The horse and rider are attached and there is a break to the foliage at the back of the clock. There also is a break to the horse’s right rear leg. I found another break to the tip on the detailed frame around the 4” diameter porcelain face. This clock never had a glass crystal and you can see fine hairlines to the porcelain face. Both springs are in perfect, strong, condition and this clock is ticking without its pendulum. When I went to hang the original pendulum I realized that the two small pins and spring steel piece are missing. I know in the right hands this clock can be brought back to working condition and to make sure some eBayer wins this clock it is listed without any reserve! As always. Up for sale is this victorian/art nouveau brass& spelter metal woman figural oil lamp with a detailed glass hurricane shade and chimney. The base is very ornate and made of metal possibly speltzer with some worn white paint. It is marked on the bottom but too worn to read. The glass hurricane shade and chimney are in good condition(some crazing chips at bottom) At some point in this lamp's history it was converted to electric- tested and in good working order. Large Vintage Spelter Appaloosa Horse Sculpture
What we have here is a really cool spelter cast sculpture of an Appaloosa horse. It is not signed. In fact there are no markings on the horse whatsoever. It measures 9.5 inches long by 6.5 inches high, standing solid and flush on a flat surface. This is a good looking statue and I trust that my pictures show that. It features what looks to me like a hand-painted finish with some speckles in the paint. It is a well modeled statue, that's for sure. I am not sure how old it is so I won't even speculate. ANTIQUE DON JUAN STATUE A late 19th century antique probably Ansonia clock decoration in very good condition. Statue is a crisp black with details clearly visible. There is little wear on the metal except a small ding on the hat. Base has some scratches and slight rust on bottom screw(see photos)It does not appear to have ever been painted over. Located in New Jersey. Not sure of the age on this probably the 1950's. Lamp is mounted on an ornate 3 footed base which is in a scroll design. This is being sold as" In Found Condition" it looks like the lamp originally had a spacer between the lamp itself and the ornate base, mostly likely a round piece of marble, which is missing, you can see in the photos of the bottom that there is a gap between the base and the lamp which indicates that there was a larger piece attached to the base of the lamp and in turn to the ornate base. Lamp has a gold painted finish. Some darkening or wear to the paint on the top of the heads of 2 of the figures, no breaks or cracks. Lamp does work, and it looks like it has been re-wired not too long ago, but as with any old electric item this should be checked out by an electrician before using. This is a superb 19th century cold painted spelter prayer mat with two spelter blackamoor male figures of which: dur our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the 19th century and is of european origin. Wonderful portrayal of the two blackamoor male figures. One is standing, other kneeling whilst praying. Cold painted. Mounted on the decorative spelter base with the adhered printed paper design. Antique 1800's Spelter Brass Bronze Japy Freres Marti Era French Figural Clock

This is a French clock that has come from the same estate of a collector that we have been selling for the last 6 weeks or so. Check our other listings for more items from this same estate and keep watching as we will list more items from this estate in the coming weeks. This clock is fairly complete from what I can tell however I am no expert so have provided many pictures so you experts can see exactly what you're getting. This French clock is made from several different types of metal. The back is tin. The fancy Roccoco base is brass or bronze as well as the figure with the part that the figure ... morerests on being spelter. The entire clock has been painted with gold paint, not original but done long ago. The brass or bronze sculpture depicts a cherub with a horn in it's left hand. This hand has been broken off and then glued back on, see pictures. His right hand used to be holding something as well but as usual it is missing. This piece has a porcelain dial that does have a couple of hairlines as shown. Besides the previously mentioned defects, the flaws are as follows: The tin back has a bow in it, there is a hand missing, the clock does not run, and the inset panels in the front of the base used to be marble or alabaster but have long ago been replaced by tin. All in all this is a great quality clock that would be well worthy of restoration. It is rather large measuring 15 7/8" wide X 5" X 16" tall. EXTRA FANCY LATE 19TH CENTURY SPELTER BANQUET LAMP BASE AND FONT - UNKNOWN MAKER
Up for auction I have a beautiful late 19th Century kerosene banquet lamp. I believe that this is made of spelter(white metal) There are lovely embossed flowers. Vines, columns and other designs from nature. The font and burner are brass and have their old patina. On the flame spreader is embossed: AMERICAN WRINGER CO. NEW YORK, MADE IN USA. The flame spreader is a bit misshapen but I think it could be straightened out. The filler cap and burner remove easily. The wick raising mechanism seems to function correctly. The spelter base has old black paint that is somewhat worn. Condition of the base is good overall. There is one spot close to the center where there is a small amount of material missing(bottom edge of one of the collars) not very noticable. I wonder if there was a marble spacer on this that is missing? Total height(to the top ... moreof the flame spreader is approx. 17 3/4" Base is approx. 6 1/2" square. Good luck!

Beautiful and heavy vintage art metal bronzed figurine of a colt or foal on a metal base. This little horse is cast in a bronzed lead alloy with a buttery smooth dark bronze finish with very good detail. The colt stands 3.75" tall on a 3" by 1.5" oval base. And is heavy for its size, weighing 10 oz. There is no manufacturer's mark that I can see, but the style and metal casting likely date this figurine somewhere from the 1930's-50's. For your bidding consideration. Here is a drop in font with an ornate spelter top. Diameter of the bottom part is 4-1/2 inches and the height is 4-1/4 inches to the top of the#2 collar. The collar is a brass insert into the spelter. As can be seen in the photos, there are a few minor dings to the bottom part, but no stress cracks to the heavier gauge brass. Hello. I have never seen one of these before. It is an Victorian. Well modelled, cold painted spelter Bull's head, with a brass? cup or goblet on top. The whole thing measures 127 mm high, the goblet is 62mm high& 68mm in diameter& the whole thing weighs 331 grams. There is wear to the paint, and a small crack to the Bull's neck, under his right cheek, but he is otherwise OK, with age patina. Please see photos to make your own asessment. For your consideration is a vintage and rare original art deco trio lamp set. You will have a hard time finding another complete set of these lamps. This is a stunning grouping which features semi bare maidens with arms draping with flowers. They all maintain original patina which has aged very nicely. You may wish to refinish. But they display beautifully as they are. All maintain original glass panels in lamp tops. Very rare to find these all together and not married. The center lamp has two holes on base for running the cord out the base. This set hasn't been used that way, but you can do so. Wiring is old and should be updated with todays standards at some point. Great addition to any art deco lighting and lamp collection. A very nice ly cast pair of Victorian figures in the Orientalist/Moorish taste c.188 0's. The man is dressed in typical Victorian interpretation of Turkish/Moorish costume with swor d and turban hat affair. Un u sual that he's holding an Aladdin type oil lamp in right hand. The girl figure has the same feel in costume and she's holding a medieval type fan in her right hand. Both bases are identical and these figures were probably sold originally as a pair. Very nice condition with no damages observed. The finish however. LARGE VICTORIAN SPELTER GIRL WITH ELK LAMP This is a beautiful lamp of a young girl with an elk that dates from around the early 1900's. It is paint decorated and it stands 31" high and it is mounted on a wooden base. It shows quite a bit of paint wear. Especially on the back of the girls legs. One of the elks antlers is broken off in the middle and it also has a small break in the ribbon on the back of the girls waist. The black wooden base that the figure sits on has a couple of age cracks. The wiring is an old cloth wiring that shows a lot of wear and it should be replaced. Made of spelter. This small lizard or chameleon figurine has lost the tip of his tail, but is still charming. A green patina covers parts of the deep gray casting.
