There are flowers all around the vase, the vase standing around 5" high, 4 and 1/4" along the base. There are small typical losses to the encrusted flowers and a few small nibbles to the rim but still looks a nice piece. The base is marked with the Sitzendorf cross mark, dating 1890-1900. Late 19c German Drersden Sitzendorf tri footed candlestick, very possibly a base to a comport with lion paw feet and greek goddess style faces on each side. The stick stands around 7" high, 5" across the base feet with no chips or cracks. Condition. Monkey flute player does have a flaw; his flute on the very end is chipped off. This is not very noticeable because it's one the other side of his hand; please see photos for best idea. Excerpted from Antiques Bible: The history of the town and people of Sitzendorf Germany goes back a long way and the history of Sitzendorf porcelain is just as long. A theology student called Georg Heinrich Macheleidt received permission from the regional prince in Germany to set up a porcelain manufacturing company in the small town of Sitzendorf. In 1760. The first porcelain factory was established. It was moved to Volkstedt in 1762. The actual manufacturer of figurines began in the town of Sitzendorf in 1884 though the factory began working with porcelain in 1850. By 1809, the company had a second factory and had introduced steam power that helped them employ a total of 300 employees in two factories in a town with a population of 700. The factory remains in operation into the present day. Sitzendorf porcelain is identified and valued by its year of manufacture. For auction is an unusual little pin doll. It is very attractively coloured in blues and purples and modelled as a little Victorian lady in a poke bonnet. It is just 5cms tall. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It was made by the Germa porcelain factory and has 38322 incised on the back. A slightly similar. This is a Beautiful Dresden Lace Victorian Lady Figurine by Sitzendorf which was manufactured in Germany. Her skirt is accented with porcelain roses. Marked on the base with the Sitzendorf Crown and S. Approximately 8 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches wide at her widest point. This figurine is in very good used condition with lace loss to her skirt and the bottom of her skirt. She also has a few dots of discoloration on her skirt. She is standing at the foot of her dish with a gilt fan in one hand while curtseying with the other. She has on a crinoline gown with hand painted blue forget-me-nots& their yellow stamens that decorate the front& back of her gown. Blue lace trims the bottom while she holds onto the pastel green top portion of her gown. Her gown has a low neckline with white lace& an orange top& a white underpinning. She has white lace sleeves. On the right side of her head. S he is also wearing an aqua green tilted cap. Photo 9. She has soft brown hair with a long ringlet gracing her front right shoulder. Sh e has rosy cheeks. Red lips. dark eyes. Photo 10. Her dish is decorated with scalloped style designs in gilt& pink& matching ... morepink roses with their green stems with blue"swirls" on the sides. The watch is in perfect working order. The history of porcelain production in Sitzendorf is hardly a straight-forward tale. The first porcelain manufactory in Sitzendorf was established by Georg Heinrich Macheleidt in 1760. Under the commission of prince Johann Friedrich of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. In 1762 the manufactory was moved to Volkstedt by order of the prince. A second factory was opened by Wilhelm Liebmann in 1850, destroyed by a fire eight years later, and built up again in the following year. In 1884 the Sitzendorf porcelain factory, under the chairmanship of Alfred and Carl Wilhelm Voigt, began the production of lace"Dresden style" figurines. In ... more1890 another branch of the factory was opened in Unterweissbach, producing similar high-quality porcelain figures and figural groups. Throughout these periods, there existed two principal styles of Sitzendorf porcelain marks. Despite continual economic hardship fueled by wars and world economic depressions, and the failure of the Unterweissbach factory in 1928, the Sitzendorf porcelain factory continues to operate to this day.

A lovers quarrel ... moredepicted at the time as if it were today and things havent changed in the world of courtship. Love never changes. Complex yet beautiful. If you carefully examine this composition you will see that the elegantly stern female has let the love letter of forgiveness gently fall to the ground. The gentleman's expression is that of desperation and bewilderment. His posture and the swaying of the hand. It almost brings a certain sentiment in one. Yet the ensemble is so gracefully hand executed that one knows these two are soul mates as this figural is in incredible condition for its age. The lace work is about 97% intact( I have taken several close photographs for your observation) The lacework which is thin actual cloth that was dipped in porcelain and baked was an invention from Dresden that spread throughout Germany. It is all hand painted and accented with real 22 K gold paint. Large and heavy. Measures 12" long x 9" deep and 10" tall. This item will require extra materials for safe delivery. Logo on the bottom. Number 1.Usually with these pretty,but fragile and very delicate flower encrusted items.There are sadly as many flowers,petals and leaves missing,as there are present,approximately 50%But this one is in remarkable and astounding.In fact astonishing and amazing excellent condition,with only very few losses,approximately 5% Number 2 Also sometimes these pieces"in my opinion only" are spoiled"by over use of colour"Sporting too many sugary pastel shades,and also over cluttered.With both cherubs,and flowers,fighting against each other for attention.Number 3, this one is just"smothered" in variegated ... moreshades of blue forget me nots.With a beautiful hand painted spray,or bouquet of forget me nots,to the center of the basket.I love the cherubs, but I think they look far more classy.Tasteful,rich and regal,with one or the other.There is slight gilding loss, but this piece was never solid gold banded.The gilding work is applied in a speckled,peppered effect,which is of course the perfect finish for disguising any loss.Overall this piece is in"rare"Superb and excellent condition,with no chips,cracks or crazing.We must bear in mind that this wonderful piece is a maximum of 163.Or a minimum of 133 years old.10 1/2" tall,and 8" wide from handle to handle.Rare,old and beautiful indeed! This is a charming SITZENDORF Porcelain Girl figurine; playing in a garden of flowers. Really pretty face and lovely lace dress and gold shoes. She is wearing a Pink Bonnet and holding a large Pink Bow. I believe this piece dates from 1902 to the 1930s. She is approximately 4" at widest x 4" at tallest point. Excellent Condition. I was able to find a couple spots of chipped lace; very hard to see unless you are really examining. Does not effect cosmetically. Also I can see 1 petal or flower chip on the base. It has 2 porcelain angels on top sharing a green garland. It has its own stand and rests on 2 balled feet with a hanger on the back for wall hanging. The frame is beautiful with a little pink bow at the bottom. Several porcelain roses and leaves, an colorful inner border. One angel has pink robe and the other has blue. Extremely Well Decorated 15" x 12" Reticulated Dresden Porcelain Urn with Colorful Hand Painted Relief. Many Flowers and two figures of a man and woman made by Sitzendorf. This piece appears to be completely hand painted. The gentleman does have a broken arm. This is an old break on the arm and we do not have the piece to replace it. Both the Lady and Gentleman are about 6-7" tall. As you can see from the next to last photo. The top portion has been adhered to the base. Normally these are bolted to the base. Dancing feminine angel candlestick description. Beautifully hand painted with gold. Green, pink, purple, and yellow colors. Colors still vibrant on this unique flowered vined tree. 90% of the gold paint is still present! Many of the flowers have chips. 5 petals missing from under the cups. Center cup is cracked. So much detail still in place. You can see the exquisite detail and coloring of the angels hands, her hair, the red coloring in her lips. So much detail in the flowers and trees. It's gorgeous. Very finely hand painted, with lovely details throughout. They both have an impressed number"2039" on the undersides, and the gentleman has a blue Sitzendorf maker's mark. Each stands at about 11 inches, the lady being just a bit taller. The gentleman weighs a little over 2 lbs. the lady weighs about 2 lbs. and 14 oz. Unique antique Sitzendorf Lace seated lady figurine. This figurine is still beautiful for it's age. Even thought it has some issues. It dates to 1887 from the backstamp. There is significant lace loss, she is missing a thumb. She is still very beautiful from this time period and she is seated holding a fan, the floral pattern base is unusual. Ebay Listing Page RARE Large 20" Antique Sitzendorf Porcelain Maiden& Lamb Figurine Item Description: Up for auction is a stunning antique porcelain grand scale porcelain figurine manufactured in Sitzendorf. Thuringia, Germany between 1887-1900. The figurine was manufactured by the highly collectible Sitzendorfer Porcelain Works and it features a young maiden with a lamb seated at her foot. The figurine is very intricate with separated fingers, raised flowers and ruffles, and texture work on the lamb's fleece and the branches of the tree. The skirt is decorated with hand-painted flowers and the base is adorned with gold accents. The underside of the figurine is marked with the Sitzendorf mark in cobalt blue. Overall the figurine stands about 19 1/2" tall. This is about as nice as they come! I do have the matching figurine ... morethat accompanies this one, which is a boy with a dog. If interested, please let me know. Item Condition: The overall condition of the figurine is excellent. I have surveyed every detail on this piece down to each flower petal. Leaf, finger, piece of lace, etc. I have found no chips, cracks, flakes, or repairs. It is quite difficult to find a piece with this much intricate work that has absolutely no flaws. The white porcelain is still quite bright, but it could use a good cleaning. It is slightly dirty in some areas, especially some of the crevases where dust tends to collect and settle over many years. I see no crazing to the glaze, and it is bright and glossy. The base has standard rubbing and dirt from years of use and display, and the trademark is easy to read. This would make an excellent display piece or be a fine addition to someone's collection! Antique Dresden German Sitzendorf Voight Bros.Porcelain Figurine/Latticed Bowl
From my personal collection of 30 ++ years. This is one of my most outstanding and exquisite antique porcelain treasures. It comes with a 2" black wood stand that has felt underneath. Porcelain itself stands approx 15 3/4 inches high with a 10 1/2 inch diameter around the bowl. Figurines measure approx 8" high. Total porcelain measures 17 1/2" sitting on base. Upon very close examination, 2 things I noticed: 1) The woman figurine has a tiny chip off her right index finger and right pinky. 2) 1 pink and 1 yellow flower have 2 small chipped pedals off the flowers. See photos on both) Otherwise, the rest of this porcelain is amazingly in excellent condition, especially considerating it's age. As most of my other antique porcelains, I purchased this in the 1980's from an older couple who had an antique store and specialized ... morein fine porcelain. Unfortunally, I am no expert on porcelain. I bought this because I loved it and over the course of 35 years, I have kept the orginal tags attached to the bottom. Her tag reads: CA 1850" There is a blue handwritten"H" also on the bottom plus the number: 63. I am told that this is the mark for the Voigt Brothers of Sitzendorf.Thuringia, Germany. Hello& welcome to my auctions. Up for auction is a sweet& charming crinoline lady Sitzendorf p owder or trinket box. She is wearing a butter yellow crinoline gown with a square neckline& a strand of sweet jet black beads around her neck. Her dress sleeves are short gathered& puffy. She has a frilly white lace collar. Her corset has cross ties on it. Her crinoline gown has four lavender colored bows'tying' open the front of her gown to reveal her lace trimmed underpinning. A swag of matching lavender flowers decorates the bottom portion of her gown. She has her jet black shoe showing under her gown. It matches not only her beads but also her big jet black bow tied on the left side of her hair do. Probably freshly picked are a big bouquet of light lavender colored lilacs( she is holding. She has a sweet face with peachy ... morecheeks& lips. dark eyes with a fine black liner painted over them. She has one stroke chocolate brown eyebrows. Photos 3& 4. Her Pompadour style brown hair has sausage ringlets framing her sweet face. It is quite"high on her head" with long curls falling on her back shoulders. This pretty Belle is ready for the Ball tonight! She is incised on the bottom with her model number"12747" S" the Sitzendorf symbol or Crown symbol.
