Beautiful Antique 1872 Sevres Porcelain Handpainted Plate Chateau de St. Cloud
I just can't bear to see such a beautiful piece of ceramic art not go to a good home. Even though the condition is bad on this. The painting is really great. Approx. 9 7/8 inches across. It is signed at the bottom of the center painting. I can't make the signature out. The center scene is labeled"Chateau De St. Cloud" The top cartouche is labeled"La Cascade" The one on the lower right is labeled"Le Parc" And the one on the lower left, that has something really weird going on in the middle, is labeled"Le Grand? I can't make out the last word. Marked on the back with a printed"S.72" Which means that this was made in 1872. Or at least the plate was. The painting's signature is followed by a"77" which might well mean that the painting itself was done then. There is also an ... moreincised mark that I can't make out. Looks like some sort of signature though. There is a big chip. Obviously, and the lower left cartouche is really weird- I can't tell just what is going on there, but it shouldn't be. Here's hoping that this damaged beauty finds some love! Not marked. But a friend of mine from England who specializes in this sort of ware was kind enough to inform me that it is Minton. Approx. 9 1/2 inches wide, and 9 1/4 inches top to bottom. The design is painted- probably over a transfer. There is a firing crack, as seen in the last 2 photos. There is some loss to the garland decoration from wear. Hopefully the photos show this as well. Still. A very pretty dish. I guarantee everything that I sell. Satisfaction or a full refund! This superb clock strikes on the hour and half hour. It is made by Aubert er Klaftenberger. The fine Swiss horologists of Geneva Switzerland, circa 1850. There is a Sevres porcelain panel inset under the dial. The shape of this gorgeous clock is known as balloon. This fine time piece sits on a marble base with four fine ormolu feet. Sevres style cobalt blue pocelain vase
Beautiful cobalt blue with brass or bronze legs and ornate ring around the top. Hand painted scene of a woman holding a flower in an outdoor setting. There is a missing piece at the top of the neck under the beauty ring. It was this way when I found it. There are no visible markings on this piece except for the name LUCE in the picture next to the womans right foot. If this piece is indeed a Sevres I would say that it would have to be from the early to mid 1700's and probably belonged to a French Aristocrat complete with the powdered wig and all.

The Sevres factory was founded in 1738 by Louis XIV. At the time of the manufacture of these vases. It was run by Alexandre Broginiart. This extraodinary example of historicism in the neo-classical style would make a great addition to fine collection of Sevres or for a collector of historical objects related to Napoleonic history. Measures 5.25” x 4.5” The saucer measures 6.5” Crack in cup handle. There is a slight amount of dirt and residual adhesive that should clean up. Case measures 13 1/2 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches deep. Beautiful 4 3/4 inch bezel with original beveled glass covers a signed 4 1/4 inch porcel a in dial. The original black en a meled iron finish was cleaned and polished to a beautiful shine. 19th CENTURY SEVRES HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN& ORMOLU LIDDED'ROMANCE' PORTRAIT URNS Measure approximately 13" high by 4 1/2" wide Beautifully hand painted'romance' portraits on each vase on one side and a floral display on the medallions on the other side. Excellent original condition. It does appear that there is one very small piece of metal missing out of the rim of one of the urns(see last close-up photo) but because of the style of the rim it is difficult to detect. These appear to be unsigned. With the ormolu bases. Which I have not attempted to remove, sometimes the signature is covered up but I cannot see any signs of a mark.

French Sevres Chateau des Tuileries Vase Urn Gilted Metal Signed Lebrun
This auction is for a Sevres turquoise vase. It is in very good condition. Just normal wear, no scratches and no breakage that I can see. I inherited this vase from a family member so I am not an expert about it but it is very beautiful. I don't believe there have been any repairs or touchups but I really don't know for sure. I can't see any, I am not an expert on this type of item so am selling as is. Please review photos and I can provide further photos if needed. It says Chateau des Tuileries on the bottom of the base(in an orange color) and has a marking Sevres 1844 in blue and then S 37 also on the bottom of the base(see photo) It is attached to metal(I think this might be called gilted metal not sure) The side of the vase(or urn- not sure which to call it) has a portrait of a person and then is signed Lebrun. The vase dates to the first year of Sevres general production 1753-1754. It measures 18 1/2 or 47 cm high. It measures 11 inches or 28 cm wide at the handles. The base is marked with the Sevres mark with an"A" and an impressed"H" The vase is beautifully decorated and Sevres used a variety of techniques to achieve this decorative beauty. The body and the foot of the vase are connected by a bolt and long stud. The gilt bronze ormolu base is also held to the vase by the same means. The body of the vase itself has both flat and raised porcelain work. The raised work of the two applied gold leaf handles continues into the body of the vase and flanks both ... morehand painted reserves. The reserve on the front shows a sweet scene of two young women conversing in a bucolic setting as a small smiling girl folds laundry. The reserve in the back of the vase is a basket filled with roses hanging from a purple ribbon. This reserve has a hand painted leaf and berry border. The background of the vase and foot are in Sevres Celeste blue and white. The design is cleverly done with white and applied gold dots simulating a field of flowers. The top of the vase is fluted and scalloped and has much applied gold. The condition overall is excellent and the bronze foot is original to the vase. Both ends of the handles show old restoration. This restoration is limited to the very ends of the handles and does not extend to the body of the vase or the rest of the handles. A beautiful example of early Sevres porcelain work. Japy Freres Ormolu and Sevres Porcelain Boudoir Clock. ~ French- Circa 1880 ~. ~~ Excellent condition. Fully overhauled ~~. A most exquisite original antique French clock by the famous maker Japy Freres. It is finely modelled in ormolu(finely gilded bronze) Beautifully finished and in stunning original condition. It is mounted with Sevres style porcelain. Each piece is signed faintly on the reverse by the artist. It is decorated with a pompadour rose pink background, the panel below the dial is delicately painted with a scene of a young couple in a country scene with panels of floral swags to each side. The dial itself is decorated with a cherub with a pair of laurel wreaths, an allegory for success. It is lettered in white cartouches against the pink background with turquoise coloured enamel'jewel' half-hour markers. This is a stunning ... moreclock, fine ormolu rather then the usual gilt spelter and very original, unusually the case is stamped with the movement's serial number. The dial is mounted in a gilded drum with a pink porcelain urn above. This is decorated with floral swags and ormolu handles. Laurel swags hang below the dial. The original gesso base is covered with pink velvet. It bears a number that is one less then that of the clock, however it is a perfect fit and therefore we think this is an original numbering error. The rear door is glazed with convex frosted glass. Please note that this style of clock does not have a glazed bezel over the dial) The French movement is by Japy Freres and has the makers mark on the backplate. It is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. The urn features a large hand painted portrait of a courting couple in an outside garden setting. It is signed on the lower right. But is hard to make out. The back features a lush landscape with a flowing creek and a stone pillar on one side. The side of urn has two bronze handles with floral relief work. The base is stepped with a cobalt blue glaze and applied gold. The condition of the urn is as follows; it is missing its cover. 19th century Sevres urn with Ormalu. Beautiful cobalt blue which depicts a lady sitting with a winged cherub kneeling. The back shows a horn with an arrow through it.The top depicts a lady with a winged cherub sitting at a table. It is in good condition. Measures 7" tall and 3" at its widest point.
