Austrian 4 Piece solid 812 13 loth Silver Samovar TEA POT c 1830 Presented is a wonderful solid silver tea pot or samovar with spigot. This item has hallmarks for silver made c1830. This mark is found in my reference materials. While the marks slightly differ they were meant to be used together and were all made in same time period and area. The Basin has two rings for portability and all pieces are separable for ease of maintenance. There is a very light monogram on the canister. Stand and warmer one on bottom of handle of warmer and the other that would only be seen when lifting the basin from its silver base. With elegant columned design it has survived a long history remarkably well with only a few scratches and dings. It is an exciting piece that is a great set for any table or occasion. Austrian silver of this period is 13 loth equivalent ... moreto 812 finess silver; American Standard sterling silver is 925 so there is slightly less silver in this alloy. Measure: 12 inches tall. A lovely 19th century Antique Silverplated Samovar or Hot Water Urn. The silver features gorgeous figural lion type heads on the legs set on paw feet. The silver urn also comes complete with the original burner. The spigot handle is a bone material and is signed on the front silver portion. Pat March 24th, 1868" The only other marking is on the bottom base which is#ed" 2206 12" The samovar measures approximately 12.5" tall x 9.5" across handles x 9.5" deep to the spout. The back of the silver is monogramed with a"S" The samovar is in excellent condition for its age. Holds 12 cups of water and works fine. The silverplating is in good condition with lite normal wear consistant with age, as shown in photos. I very quickly and lightly polished this piece, there is still tarnish on the handles, legs, and ... morebottom portion which will clean up with proper polishing. Just pretty piece. Up for auction is this amazing brass Russian Samovar tea kettle. Matching brass serving kettle, and a pair of hand tooled Brass ashtrays. The Samovar is in great condition, with no dings or scratches. it does however appear to be missing some of the hardware. It has also at some point been repaired on the inside, I do not know if it affects its ability to be used. marked made in USSR. Stands 20in tall, and 14in wide at the handles. The Serving kettle in in good condition with a dime sized, and many smaller dings around the center, and a ding on the bottom, at one of the footings, and various lite scratches through out. This is one my finest pieces of Chinese Brass up for auction. It is from around the early 1920's is stamped made in China. It is solid brass Samovar. For decoration purposes only, not for actual use. It is square two sectioned pieces with separate etching of dragons on all pieces except the cover. The top would be used for tea, and the bottom(see back picture for small hole in middle) for the actual hot embers(if it was an actual working piece) Samovars were very fashionable and especially Chinese Brass. Including fabric cord. Also included are a matching cream and sugar set. This pot carries three US patents; the first issued Feb. 6, 06, and a Canadian patent. Patent date mark on the inner rod in July 16, 1922. Classic urn shape with early Art Deco styling. Cord is intact with no fraying. It has been tested and cleaned. In perfect working order. A solution of one part water and one part vinegar was used to run a complete cycle. The plating appears to be chrome on both the urn and creamer. But the sugar has a slightly different tone, and could be nickel silver. The patterns match exactly. The insides have a goldtone wash. The urn measures 17" to the very top and features very ornate designs. It is antique and of course has imperfections. But is in very beautiful condition considering age and use. It is monogrammed and has a small dent just above the monogram. It does sit on a tilt, and the lid is slightly bent at the rim. It has not been cleaned recently and could use a good polishing. Brass and copper antique samovar with matching teapot for auction. Items are in antique condition with one noticeable dent(shown in pictures) as well as a missing spigot key and missing top. We do have the matching teapot. However it is missing its spout and also has some fairly significant scratching and a dent in the rim of the top. Hi! Fresh from a nice old Maine estate is this wonderful MINIATURE Brass and Copper RUSSIAN SAMOVAR! This has all of the characteristics of a full sized samovar including a functional spigot. Copper chimney, and an opening in the bottom for a small flame heater. It stands approximately 7 5/8" tall and weighs a little less then 2 pounds. I didn't know what it was called so I researched it and found it was a Decorative Russian Samovar Made from wood. Painted, and finished with lacquer. There are 17 pieces in all including the 2 covers. Samovar is about 10" tall and 5-1/2" from handle to handle. A matching sugar& creamer& 6 cups and saucers included. The saucers are 3-1/8" in diameter and the cups are 1-3/4" across the top. It looks like it was supposed to have a cover on the Samovar, but not real sure. There are numbers on the bottom of the samovar, but I don't know what they mean. This is for decoration only, not to be used as a real Samovar. I love my samovar. But I'm putting this listing on Ebay in case someone loves my samovar even more than I love it. Lovingly hand painted. Has portraits of Russian intellectuals on it. Includes the blue plate that it's standing on in the photos(plate didn't originally come with the samovar. But I've come to think of that plate as part of the samovar) It's electric. And it's never been used, as it would require USSR current and has a USSR plug; you can NOT plug it into a US outlet. But I don't think you'd want to make tea with such a gorgeous samovar. Brought back from the Soviet Union by my wife's father in the 1970's(we have another also. Identical but without the provenance) Nice little mantle or bookshelf item, I would recommend a large samovar if you truly want to use one! ясная поляна on removable top(I think that's"Clear Glade" along with the"made in" CCCP verbiage. No scratches, dings or dents, there is some natural loss of luster. As you can see, all original parts are there. Roughly 5"H x 5"W, just over 9 oz.

No. 2. Ft. Leavenworth, KS, dated 12-12-18. This samovar is signed with the following information: Made& Guaranteed by Wilcox Silver-plate Co(around their logo) Made in U.S. America 1950. The 1950 is not the date of production. The top of the samovar is inscribed with the following: Presented by Army Service School Det. No. 2, Fort Leavenworth Ks. 12-12-18(December 12th, 1918) The opposite side ... moreis inscribed with what appears to be the letters L over laid on the F. Please view the pictures to see for yourself. This beautifully silver-plated tilting tea or coffee pot can tip downwards until the spout almost reaches the table. The handle has 2 celluloid rings on it. What they are for, I have no idea. The pot sits in the cradle of the base and is attached, but removable, by the pins extending from the tea pot. In the center of the base, the warmer comes out to refill the fuel. The wick is no longer present. The handle on the warmer has an ornate design on it. As far as the samovar's condition, it looks very good. Considering it almost 100 years old, it is in remarkable, pre-owned, condition. The pot does have a very small straight-line dent to the left of the LF. The patina on this varies. The base and warmer show a lot more patina than the pot and lid. Again, please view the pictures. Regardless, it is all very cleanable and should clean up and shine very well. I did not want to clean the samovar because some want the patina and others do not. This way it is up to you on how you want it. Over-all it is 10.5" tall x 8.5" from one side to tip of the spout x 8

EXCELLENT RUSSIAN SILVER SAMOVAR SOVIET- ERA 58cm
A conical urn-shaped silver-plated samovar It is particularly well-suited to tea-drinking in a communal setting over a protracted period. This compares with the Japanese tea ceremony. But only superficially. In everyday use it was an economical permanent source of hot water in older times. Various slow-burning items could be used for fuel. Such as charcoal or dry pinecones. When not in use, the fire in the samovar pipe was faintly smouldering. When necessary, it was quickly rekindled with the help of bellows. Although a Russian jackboot сапог(sapog) could be used for this purpose, there were bellows manufactured specifically for use on samovars. The samovar was an important attribute of a Russian household. Sizes and designs varied. From"40-pail" ones of 400 litres(100 US gallons) to 1 litre(1 US quart) size, from cylindrical to ... morespherical, from plain iron to polished brass to gilt. So whether it was Elizabeth or Catherine the Great of Russia who promoted the invention of the Samovar. It didn't really matter as Bill, Satya and I sat round the Samovar the other night. It has the Russian Imperial double eagle stamped on it. Two Presentation and Design Awards one from 1870 and one from 1889. It has other Russian Cyrillic writing on it. We can make out what we think is the cyrillic letters for Tula. It is a conical shaped Samovar with double paneled and narrow fluted body. It measures approx. 22 1/2" tall and 15" across. It does have the center charcoal heating tube with an ash door on the underneath side. It has four curled feet. SILVER METAL MINIATURE SAMOVAR VINTAGE SOVIET UNION SOUVENIR 1974 RUSSIAN TEAPOT
Vintage 1974 souvenir miniature metal samovar from the Soviet Union that seems to be a working tea urn. This samovar is made of a silver finished metal with excellent detail and craftsmanship. It stands 5.5" tall by 4.5" across from one handle to the other. The top comes off and inside are the metal components that make the urn work. The top is inscribed with Russian writing that mentions"CCCP" Which is the Soviet Union. The underside of the base also has Russian writing with a logo and a year"1974" This miniature samovar is missing the handle on the spout, and the two small black handles on top; otherwise, it's in great shape with no noticeable dents or finish loss. A very cool Cold War souvenir from the old Soviet Union.
