Antique Victorian Hanging Lamp Burmese Reverse Painted Shade Jeweled Electrified
Antique Victorian hanging parlor lamp with Burmese reverse painted satin glass shade. Frame is detailed brass. Font/burner marked Aladdin. Is Electrified. But can be reversed. The lamp is prettier than what shows in the picture- collar for the upper opening on the shade is displayed in the wrong place when"hanging. See photo with appropriate placement. Has two glass jewels/balls in the brass frame. Measures: 13 1/2" across large opening on the shade. 5 3/4" across upper opening. Shade is 7 1/2" deep. Lamp is approximately 28" from top to bottom. Beautiful Vintage Reverse Painted Flowers Glass Table Lamp Shade
This is an absolutely awesome beautiful glass shade for a table lamp. This is a reverse shade with the colorful flowers painted inside to reflect on the outside. This shade is about 4.25" tall and measures about 8.25" wide. It's in great condition with no chips or cracks or fading of colors.Just one little paint loss at the top circle. It's very unique. Superb HANDEL Bronzed Metal LAMP BASE for reverse painted shade, chipped ice NR
Here is a bronzed metal HANDEL LAMP BASE in the form of a Japanese baluster vase molded with birds and blossoms in low relief. The foot molded to simulate a Chinese carved and pierced hardwood stand. It is in superb condition. This beauty stands 22.5" high x 7.25" wide at the foot(57.15cm x 18.41cm) This is an authentic, museum quality lamp base for the advanced collector. It has been completely rewired for safety, ready to go for another century of service. All three sockets, heat cap, cluster ball riser, and finial have the original amazing deep chocolate brown patina with green verdigris highlights. The acorn pull chains are replacements. But look great with the lamp. The sockets are original and antique with their original copper interiors. Each socket works perfectly, with strong clicks and easy pulls. I had the lamp rewired ... morewith new rayon covered wire for safety. The plug is an antique Acorn plug, that fits the lamp style very well. Hand Painted Artist Signed( Can not make out the signature) Reverse Painted Shade Art Deco Era c1920-1930's with a Double Pull Chain Bronze Marked Miller Lamp Company on bottom Table Lamp. The finial is a Antiqued Bronze finial and cap. The shade has some wear of paint on inside conducive to age and wear. The double pull chain-one of the sockets is not working but can be fixed or replaced(The other as in pictures works! A little attention and this lamp is a Fantastic item! The company got its start in lighting manufacture by producing metal candleholders, and then moved into kerosene lamps, gas lighting, and electric lighting ... moreas times changed. The name of the company changed too, becoming Edward Miller& Co. for a time, then The Miller Co. A mark of Miller or E M& CO on the base indicates a Miller lamp. Miller produced more expensive leaded glass lamps. But seized the opportunity to sell lighting for the middle classes as more and more homes were wired for electricity. The company sold lamps in bulk to utility companies in large cities who retailed them to their customers. A 1920 Philadelphia Electric Co. catalog shows lamps with prices from $12.50 to $60, depending on size. All the lamps are described as being“cast metal openwork” over“light amber art glass” and could be ordered in a variety of metal finishes including French brown, Grecian antique, Etruscan bronze and Florentine relief. While lamps were made with glass in colors other than amber. Or caramel as it is often called now, amber predominates. Gorgeous Reverse-Painted Success Lamp
Lamps are one of my favorite antique specialties and this is. Hands-down, one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Made by Success, it is an early lamp, GWTW style, lights up bottom and top with a nice switch in the bronze base. The design reverse painted on the base is sort of Asian looking and I've replaced the shade with a beautiful custard-glass shade since the original one was broken long ago. VINTAGE YELLOW FLOWERS WHITE FROSTED REVERSE HAND PAINTED GLASS LAMP SHADE
Frosted White Glass Lampshade with Yellow Flowers Opening that would hook to a fixture measures approximately 2 1/4" across. Bottom opening measures just under 7" across. Measures approximately 5" high. Features a frosted look and the flowers are painted on the inside. The design appears to be hand painted. There don't appear to be any chips or cracks. The only rough spots are on each of the ends& it seems like it is from when it was made, not from being damaged. There are 3"seams" in the glass that are visible but seem like they are suppose to be there. There are many white paint splatter dots in white on this piece but they could probably be removed by someone comfortable doing that. There is also a scratch in the frost of a little over a fourth inch& some smaller scratches in that same area(see picture#2) ... moreThe scratches have only removed the frost but not dented into the glass itself. I did not find any markings or numbers anywhere on this piece. I also have 2 more of these in other colors listed in my Ebay store. Found this in a house that was built in 1917. Not sure when these were put in as people have been living in it for the better part of when it was built until now. However the rest of the house décor appears not to have been remodeled since the 60's or early 70's. Much of the other lighting was so old it was just lightbulbs hanging from some frayed, cloth-covered wires. I have no expertise in lighting or glass or anything of that nature. Antique Reverse Painted Oil Kerosene Lamp c. 1882
I was lucky enough to acquire several old oil lamps from the estate of an old collector in Upstate NY. She lived in a beautiful house dating back to the 1800's. In her passing. She left tons of wonderful treasures. This lamp is one of them. This is a beautiful reverse painted oil lamp. Cobalt blue that fades to a lighter blue. Pretty floral motif on front. There is a couple areas where the paint from inside the glass has flaked off but in overall nice condition for its age. Aged finish on base with some beautiful areas of green patina. Antique 1800's Tall Reverse Decal Painted Gallery Cast Iron Base Glass Oil Lamp
Up for auction is a beautiful antique tall table oil lamp with an interesting lower reverse decal decoration in the base. This is in original condition but the paint they used did not adhear well to the glass so it is flaking severely. The decal is still in excellent condition and shows well. The flaking gives the lamp a nice antique look. Very vintage. Original black paint on the cast irony base. You could probably take some light yellow latex paint and roll it around the inside glass and make this lamp look close to how it looked originally but I like the chipped effect that is made. Antique Reverse Painted Frosted Art Glass Lamp Shade w Leviton Base BEAUTIFUL
Hi. You are bidding on a beautiful BEAUTIFUL reverse painted antique frosted art glass lamp shade with a Leviton base. The base is super old. I can see one area that looks like it might be cracking from age. The height is about 18 inches. There is no finial. I think it is brass. You can see that the cord is one of the oldest types of cords and plugs. The frosted glass part is just spectacular. THere is a frosted greenish yellow glass color on top when lit up and then the pinker field on the bottom with pink flowers painted around the outside and then also on the inside. If you collect these lamps. This shade will be so loved. It is just glorious. The size is about seven inches by eight inches across. Thank you.

Antique Reverse Painted Arts & Crafts Blu Lighthouse Sailboat Pendant Light Lamp
This is a fantastic RARE antique arts and crafts pendant light that has images painted on the inside AND outside surface of the glass. Giving it a fantastic 3D effect. All images are painted in varying shades of cobalt blue. The four pictures that were painted on the glass include sailboats, an old lighthouse perhaps with a weathervane, waterfront cottage by an old stone bridge, and a windmill with a weathervane. It appears that the outside surface, besides being painted, was also acid etched, giving the paint-free areas a frosted appearance. On the panel with the sailboats, there are a few pitted spots in the outline of the boats that looks like the acid ate a little deeper into the glass in those areas, or the glass was damaged in some other way, but those areas just have a whitish, grainy appearance, they are not broken or pitted too deeply. ... moreThe glass is in otherwise very good condition with no cracks or large chips. There is one small chip near the top corner of one panel, but it is mostly covered by the frame. The panels sit pretty loosely inside the frame, are held in place by small brass metal clasps on the inside, but two of the clasps are missing. The socket inside is original and missing the socket cover and the wires are exposed and need to be replaced. The light is suspended by a 5" chain and the chain is attached to a small brass ceiling canopy. The canopy is original and has some old paint around the edges. The brass frame is in very good condition with a fantastic aged patina with some areas of verdigris. The measurements of the light are 9 1/2" H(not including the chain) x 5 1/2" W and the ceiling canopy measures 2 7/8" in diameter. This item will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.

Up for auction is an antique enamel painted cast metal boudoir lamp with a puffy glass reverse painted shade with blown out roses. I do not know the maker. However the lamp base is extensively marked. It has a wreath logo and a model numberr"136" Also, a patent date of 11-22-21 and Made-in-U.S.A. Antique Art Deco Miller Lamp Co. Reverse Painted Lamp Base & Satin Shade #232
This auction features an antique bronzed Miller Lamp and shade. This lamp has been in one families possession since it was acquired new back in the late 1920’s(Or maybe the early 1930’s. The owner cannot remember exactly) The bronzed base stands 20 ½ inches tall and has a nice authentic patina. The base features alternating panels with tulips and a stylized art deco design. The base is signed on the bottom as pictured and retains all of the original bronzed finish. The cord is a replacement cloth cord. The shade which is original to this lamp is a satin glass shade with an attractive reverse painted scene which completely surrounds the shade. The shade measures 15 inches in diameter. Stands 8 inches tall, and has a 3 ¼ inch fitter. There are a few condition issues needing mentioned. The first and in my opinion the worst of the issues ... moreis a loss of original finish. There are 4 areas where this has happened, and I have pointed all four for one to evaluate. Here is the story I was told on this issue, and I tend to believe it. The original owner liked the way that the canopy of the lamp had areas where the red-toned sky was lighter is depth. Making it look like a clouds. She liked this so much, she decided to scratch off areas on the shade to make it resemble clouds as well. I am certain this can be restored, and it does look like clouds, but I think if I were to keep this, I would have it restored. The second condition issue is two small chips on the edge of the shade. These are small. We have shown them in comparison with a pencil point for one to evaluate. These are on the flat ground surface and does not affect the profile but mentioned for accuracy. There is the typical roughness around the fitter, but these are covered when the original cap and finial are placed on the shade. All in all. A nice survivor.

This is a lovely antique lamp. Circa 1920. It has a small harp to accommodate a 7.5" watt bulb to be used as a night light. Old cloth cord was replaced and new one is current, no work needed. As shown is the reverse-painted glass shade in a pretty rose color w/ florals of green. Blue. Shade has small bottom flea bites which can be felt but does not distract from the overall appearance. Topnot and finial are replacements.

Here's a fabulous antique Table Lamp with a rare REVERSE PAINTED textured GLASS Shade. 4 Hand Painted panels on the interior of the eight-sided shade. With a gorgeous BARK TEXTURE on the exterior. The paintings on 4 of the 8 panels vary. But they all are scenes of cabins with stream& canoe& lake ~ rustic and charming. This was produced by Nicholas Kopp's Pittsburgh Lamp(Pilacrasgo) Co. between 1900 and 1926 when the company was bankrupted. Shade sits on a warm brass-colored cast base with nice leaf. Column pattern. Has a brass light socket with pull chain on/off. Has a 3-legged, adjustable-height shade holder/harp and brass-colored 3-3/4" cap that screws on, to hold the shade in place. I am offering this lamp at an astronomically low starting bid. The lamp glows beautifully and rich when lit. Use low watt bulbs. As most of these shades were destroyed over the years from overheating. This is an ORIGINAL and Signed on both shade and base. The shade is decorated with pink and purple poppies and thorny green leaves stylized in a yellow basket weave effect. My neighbors absolutely went nuts when I placed this lamp in the front window for display for a couple of nights. This lamp measures 14" tall. The metalwork on the base and stem is a bronze and green finish. Very Tasteful. The original cloth cord still looks excellent and ready to use. There is a hairline in the shade that is unnoticeable unless you are looking really hard and look sideways towards the lamp when lit. The hairline runs up a crease in the glass and follows perfectly to the top. The hairline does not run across the top of the shade which is very good. Picture#6 shows the hairline. As you can see. MONUMENTAL ART DECO REVERSE PAINTED PITTSBURGH ? LIGHT or LAMP SHADE
Offered here is a monumental Art Deco reverse painted frosted glass light or lamp shade. I have been told that this may be Pittsburgh glass. This is a very. Very large piece of glass. The diameter of the lower edge is 16" The diameter of the outside fitter is 10" and the opening diameter is 8 1/2" The drop from the top of the fitter to the lower edge is 10 1/4" The condition of the reverse painting is excellent. The condition of the frosted glass shade is perfect, except for 2 very, very small(1/4" and less) chips on the inside fitter rim. Please see photos. There are no chips on the lower ground glass rim edge. There are no breaks or scratches on the shade. The shade is dusty from storage. I will leave the cleaning of this huge shade to the next owner. The colors of the shade are black. Light blue, and a soft persimmon ... morecolor against a beige frosted glass background. There are also small vertical lines of soft green decoration on the shade. Marked on the bottom of the metal base MOE-BRIDGES CO PAT 62028 MILWAUKEE MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands 14 3/4 inches tall and the shade has a diameter of 7 inches. Antique Bradley Hubbard Arts Crafts Nouveau Mission Table Lamp Reverse Painted
Up for auction here is an exceptional antique Bradley Hubbard lamp. It is done in a transitional style of Art Nouveau and Mission. Arts& Crafts eras, and dates to circa 1910. The tan painted cast iron metal base is a very rarely seen form on the market, with a 6 panel side squat bottom shape with Hector Guimard style biomorphic skeletal beetle-back whiplash shapes inspired by Grueby Pottery vase shapes. It is substantial in size and weight being approximately 11" at widest and 10" tall before neck shaft. The neck, or shaft, telescopes, meaning it can be raised and lowered. The maximum height is approximately 28" and the minimum height is 23" There are two original bead metal string-pull light bulb sockets. The 6-panel shade is made of clear bent thin ribbed holophane glass that is reverse painted with a colorful floral ... moregarland band stencil pattern. The glass panels are held in place by a fine bronze structure done in the Arts& Crafts style with round florette crested top and torch flame form finial topper. The shade measures 18" wide and approximately 6" deep. The lamp is stamped with triangle Bradley Hubbard mark(see photos) on base at top of shaft between light sockets This rare lamp is all original, works perfectly and is in excellent condition.
