Very delicate and artful box. 1 7/8 inches overall height. The length seem to be variant, for example a top leg measuring 1 1/4 inches but the same leg on bottom measures 1 7/32. This carries throughout the piece and while at first one might think the box is perfectly symmetric hexagonal box, its not. I don't know how to explain this better but this thing has been picking the edge of my curiosity for a very long period of time. Definitely a masterful and purposeful work of art. Antique Pyrography Wood Tray with Painted Flowers
Amazing detail in this antique wooden pyrography tray with lovely pink roses. Orange poppies and white daisies. It has some finish loss on the edges(see photos) in otherwise excellent condition. It has a piece of glass encased in the frame, which is easily removed if you wish- some of the pictures were taken without the glass to show the difference. The tray measures 15 1/2" long x 10" wide.

Rare Original Theodore Roosevelt Pyrography Wooden Stein Sweden Eagle Portrait
Original very rare President Theodore Roosevelt pyrography wooden stein made in Stockholm. Sweden during his presidency. I have only found two other examples of similar steins both with different inscriptions at the top. This one is inscribed with"Cheer Boys, Cheer! It is in overall excellent condition with relatively few minor flaws including a small, but barely noticeable crack as seen in the photos. There is a nice colored depiction of an eagle with shield and a portrait of Roosevelt. One in similar condition with a different inscription and lid sold for over $1,000 last year at Heritage Auctions and they noted it was the first example they had come across so this must be a very rare piece.

France early 20th c: Beautiful Decorated Art Nouveau Serving Tray, Pyrography
Auction description The provenance of this beautiful hand-crafted object in wood. Cooper, and glass is a recent auction at the Hotel Drouot, Paris. It's a serving tray in Art Nouveau style, with elaborate and delightful hammered copper decoration over wood around the edges, and a hand-burnt, partially colored pyrogravure drawing on wood, in the style of Alphonse Mucha(1860-1939) protected under glass, in the center. Think of the hours needed to create such a work from its various constituent elements. A lovely thing to have and to hold, or to serve your guests with. This was part of a collection of early twentieth century pyrogravure pieces that were sold that day. And in my view it was the most unusual and attractive one. Description This is a fascinating vintage or antique wooden vanity or trinket box. The box has been in my family for many years and probably dates to the 1910s. The box measures about 5.6 inches square by 2.1 inches high and has a beautiful carved or pyrographic art nouveau-style motif depicting a woman framed by a ribbon. The same subject is repeated on the inside of the cover. The edges of the box have a series of parallel angled lines. And the interior of the box contains a deep purple felt lining. The corners of the box are attached with small nails or brads, and the bottom of the box has a handwritten pencil inventory or price number. The hinges on the box ... morehave intriguing"May 6-13" marks that possibly correspond to a date almost exactly 100 years ago. According to the US Patent and Trade Office website. Similar hinges were in fact patented by HC Baker on May 6, 1913, under patent number 1,061,033. The box has some minor scuffs on the edges and a chip on the upper left of the cover as shown in the pictures. Offered is this lovely Art Nouveau glove box with a burnt wood design of a curly-haired woman framed by holly leaves and berries. Suggesting a holiday theme. The inside of the box is lined with sky-blue felt. It closes with a metal clasp on the front that still functions as intended. The lid is attached to the box with two small hinges. The wooden box is marked with a brand on the bottom that says Special G. This piece probably dates to the late 1800s. The top edges of the lid are beveled. The box measures 10 inches long. 4 inches wide and 2.5 inches high. In metric, the box measures 25.5 cm long, 10 cm wide and 6.4 cm high. The box is in very good condition for its years. Madagascar Zither Marovany Double Side Pyrography Woodburning Musical Instrument
Item for sale is a very unusual. Possibly rare, zither or Marovany type instrument made in Madagascar. This is a double sided box with strings on each side. One side has five bridges sort of like used on a violin, and there are no bridges on the other side. Apparently the strings are tuned by moving the location of the bridges. I do not know if anything is missing from this or if the bridges are original. The cut out holes are rough around the edges as you can see from the photographs. Item is in very good used condition- showing some signs of wear- fading of wood burned areas and some scrapes on the wood. The panels on each end and the handle on the top are made out of some type of animal hide- furry. 20-1/2" long, 5-3/4" high and 3" wide. Vintage Australian Didgeridoo Eucalyptus Termite Hollowed Aboriginal Pyrography
First of all. I know nothing about didgeridoos. I found this at a garage sale that had many great vintage items. I have reason to believe that this is from that same era. It is 27 inches long and termite hollowed. It seems like there s a crack in the wood that has been repaired or possibly that is how it is supposed to be. Since the crack is there, I am thinking it might not play a perfect note. The crack goes nearly through, and it seems like there is some possible repair done on it. I took pictures for you to see. The burned Aboriginal designs are fantastic. I have no idea if this plays a note when blown on. It is beautiful, heavy and thick. If you collect vintage didgeridoos, I think you will like it.
