RARE CHILDS PEARLWARE TEAPOT WITH CHILDRENS GAMES - N/R
I am pleased to offer this rare piece of Regency teaware. It is a childs or"dolls" teapot in the typical shape and pearlware body of the period. About 1830. It has two scenes of children playing- the boy with a whip and top and the girl playing shuttlecock. These are printed in black, as is the other decoration of the piece. This lovely teapot measures 6 inches across the spout and handle and is 4 1/4 inches high overall. Condition for something of this age and obviously used by a child is excellent. The flower-head knop has a broken petal. There is some chipping to the inner rim where the lid fits and a tiny nick under the spout. This sounds much worse than it really is, and the piece displays very well indeed. A rare memento of a bygone age and a fine addition to any collection. Offered at a low start and no reserve to find a ... moregood home. Thanks for looking.

Staffordshire Childs Animals Mug Dog Begs for Treat Pearlware Transfer 1840
Childrens Transfer Print Pearlware Mug Animals ~ Dog Begging for Supper Treat Staffordshire England c1840-50 This antique childs mug stands 2 1/4” tall and measures 2 1/2” across the top rim. With an acanthus leaf ends to applied loop handle and a turned base. It features a transfer printed in rich Van Dyk brown, showing a big dog holding his paw up to beg for a treat from a couple eating on an outdoor bench. Titled'The Dinner' the pup look to have a smile on his face. The image was finely engraved, and probably first appeared in an early child's primer or nursery book. The mug is unmarked and the maker is known. But it was most likely made in the Staffordshire potting district of England c. 1840-1850. Similar images of wild and domestic animals are shown in the book Gifts for Good Children written by Noel Riley and published ... moreby Richard Dennis. Staffordshire Pearlware ~ CHINESE FAMILY w TEMPLES ~ Salopian Bowl c1820 NR
Staffordshire Pearlware Salopian Polychrome Brown Transferware Small Punch Bowl c1820 ~ Chinoiserie: Chinese Family in Landscape with River and Temples ~ About 6" across the top and little less than 3" deep An early English Staffordshire pearlware bowl transfer printed in brown with Salopian type palette underglaze enamels of beige. Blue, green and yellow. It is one continuous wraparound transfer showing on one side three people under a temple type pagoda; this to me seems like a marriage scene, and then further there is a small family with child, a young man on a raft(leaving the family? then a solitary larger temple beyond. The inside is printed with a temple in the center as well, with a smaller vignette around the inside rim. The bottom has a decorator's signature'O' in yellow enamel which was probably the last color ... morehe used to decorate. In excellent condition; there is one chip on the footrim which does have some discoloration and shows slightly from the outside; you can see it above under the boy on raft. Otherwise all else is smooth and lovely. There is a raised bump of pottery seen under the boy on raft done in the making Thanks for looking. No Reserve! Please see the other English/ Historical Staffordshire/ porcelain/ pottery/ soft paste/ pearlware/ creamware I have listed.
Staffordshire ~SEASHELLS & CHINOISERIE~ Pearlware Brown Transferware JUG 1820 NR

A Chinoiserie scene is printed on both sides. The handle also printed with a row of flowers taken from the tree transfer. In the pic above you can see some lighter brown spots in the scene; I believe this was an accidental smearing of the transfer before it was fired. And it appears to be a lighter shade of brown, it is not damage however and is perfectly smooth. In excellent condition; there is one chip on the side of the spout you can see above ... moreand another small chip at the edge of the footrim. Otherwise this is all smooth and lovely. Rare Miniature Pearlware Blue Broseley Willow Teapot Staffordshire 1820 signed
Rare Blue Staffordshire Miniature Teapot BROSELEY WILLOW possibly John Rogers ~ Staffordshire England c. 1820 from Joseph Jackson Miniature Teapot Collection This is a fantastic London shaped miniature teapot c 1820 originally part of a complete tea set and fine antique dollhouse accessory. The tiny teapot stands 3 1/4" high and measures 5 1/2” long with a square knop. Transfer printed in light blue with pearlware glaze. The teapot is decorated in one of the finest early Chinoiserie Blue Willow type pattern called Broseley Willow. The standard features of the Willow pattern are all present- pagoda, lake, bridge, fence, people- and slightly rearranged from traditional. There is a man inside the pagoda as well as 2 others on the bridge. The central image wraps around the entire perimeter with a complementary border trim. The teapot is ... moresigned with a large dramatic painted R. The previous owner attributed it to John Rogers c 1820. If not Rogers. The maker would have been Minton, who commonly used this blank during the same period, or another early 19th century pottery manufactory in the Staffordshire region of England who had a painter with a flair for the dramatic. The teapot was long time part of the Joseph Jackson Teapot Collection. The 400 piece collection was sold at auction in UK in 2001. One teapot at a time, to encourage young collectors who were able to buy them at affordable prices. The teapot is in very good condition especially considering it age and use by generations of young children with no chips or cracks. The lid appears to have been overfired. And based on the feel, it may have been professionally restored. Light wear and overall glaze crazing. And typical firing imperfections consistent with age. These fine early Willow childrens or dolls dishes are like pocket sized works of art. A lovely example, perfect and affordable for a young collector of early wares. STUBBS Staffordshire ~SEASHELLS ~Pearlware Dark Blue Transferware PLATE c1830 NR
Historical Staffordshire Pearlware Dark Blue Transferware Plate c1822- 1836 ~ Sea Shells and Fruit Pattern ~ Marked Joseph Stubbs Longport ~ 8 3/4" in diameter A beautiful early Staffordshire pearlware plate by Joseph Stubbs printed with a deep cobalt blue transfer of seashells and seaweed within a cartouche surrounded by a border of large flowers and fruit. The printing and glaze is very thick almost flow blue type of application and as a result there is some high point wear at the very darkest parts. But not terrible, the plate displays beautifully. The reddish or purplish cast seen under the shell above is a light reflection and not any kind of restoration or touch up. In excellent condition with the high point wear mentioned above. There is crazing to the glaze front and back. There are two errors in the transfer at the border at ... more4 and 7 o'clock seen above, they are not damage just skips in the transfer. There are no chips or cracks, there is one small glaze pop in the border seen at 3 o'clock above. Thanks for looking. No Reserve! Please see the other English/ Historical Staffordshire/ porcelain/ pottery/ soft paste/ pearlware/ creamware I have listed.
Antique porcelain PearlWare Rose Border pedestal dish flower motif early 1800's
For your consideration is an antique pedestal dish. Unmarked Pearl Ware. Pearlware started being produced in 1779 and continued until around 1840. By 1820 Pearlware was in decline. I am not sure how old these dishes are. But are at least 100 years old. Pearlware was started by Staffordshire and Wedgwood later improved. I believe these are Wedgwood as they do not have the cream tint in them. They have scalloped edges and are just beautiful. Pattern is Rose Border. The tall pedestal is not signed but the number 3573 is on each one. I have shorter pedestals also listed and they are marked on the bottom. The large dish is not flat but more of a bowl measuring 11" in diameter and rises 7" There are a few brown marks on the bottom of the pedistal, but cannot be seen when serving on the table. Some light crazing, but this can be expected ... morefrom a piece of this age. Beautiful white background with a pink outside and gold trim and hand painted primrose flowers on the top and bottom. Josiah Wedgwood in a response to a comment by Lady Dartmouth that she and her friends were tired of the creamware. As a boy he worked on developing a formula which used traces of cobalt to achieve a white color. It also provided a good base for bright colors. Each piece was hand painted and fired at very high temperatures. What a wonderful addition for any collector. Great for any entertainer to make a statement. These are very rare to find and becoming a real collectors item. Insurance is added to the shipping total. Make sure to check out my other listings for the matching pieces to this item. Please email with any questions. No returns unless item is not as described. Pictures are part of the description. Shipping is actual cost with insurance. Thanks for looking and happy ebaying. c1825 Pearlware Adams Rose Ladies Spittoon in four color gaudy broad brush style
Delightful early 1800s Ladies Cuspidor(smaller size) decorated with gaudy hand painted Adams Rose motifs in a four-color polychrome(minor hole in base. See Condition notes for full details, and continue reading below for more info) Welcome to a Spring in bloom(in the South) Special Sale Listing and. enjoy! ITEM DETAILS: Wonderful and hard to find Staffordshire pearlware Ladies Spittoon decorated with the gaudy broad brush stroke style Adams Rose motif in four color underglaze polychrome. This cuspidor is from the 1820s and was painted in a rapid style to achieve pleasing results. The colors include the standard dark red rose(the red is slightly darker than how it appears digitally here) A clean medium green, a mustard orange and a blackish-chocolate brown. Over 400 brush strokes were used to decorate this spittoon(an actual count yielded ... moreabout 412) And unlike later examples of Adams Rose from the 1830s and 1840s, the stems and small leaves are painted in dark brownish-black similar to the dark brown in some applied mocha decoration. There is no black or cobalt blue in the polychrome decoration on this spittoon. Black appears later in many polychrome Adams Rose designs and seems to replace brown for stems and vines in the 1830s and 1840s. The size of this antique spittoon is smaller than the typical mid 1800s masculine spittoons found today in Rockingham. Bennington, molded white ironstone or transfer printed ironstone as well as the typical copper or brass antique cuspidors. Two photos show this pearlware lady’s spittoon placed next to a dark treacle-glazed Bennington-type gentleman’s spittoon for a direct size comparison(both top view and side view show that the woman’s spittoon is shorter and has a smaller diameter) And if you collect this broad-brush style of decorated Staffordshire, then you already know that there are many more examples of broad brush monochrome blue decoration on plates, bowls, jugs, pitchers, basins, and other vessels from the 1820s and 1830s than polychrome examples. Blue Willow Pearlware Butter Dish c. 1790-1810
Here is an early c. 1800 unusual butter dish with a looped handle to carry it. I put it with the butter pat category since it was the closest I could find like it. It does have a professional repair which is hardly discernible from the top in picture 5 and picture 6 shows the bottom underside where it is seen. There are also stress lines radiating from the center mount which appears to have been glued back in place because of the clean white line like skinny caulk around the base as seen in picture 4 with the stress lines. Now after all this information the piece really looks good for display. I have had it on a shelf with other blue and white for years and had forgotten about the crack until I photographed the bottom for this listing. It measures approximately 6 1/2" x 9" in size. Would look great on display in your blue and white ... moreor blue willow or pearlware or butter dish collection too. Would also use for petit fours to serve at a party. Very useful! US bidders only please and no bidders with less than 10 positive feedback. US domestic shipment via USPS standard shipping will be $12.00. Please ask questions before you bid. Thanks! and read the description too! Check out my other"interesting stuff" from Pigfish Lane Antiques!
Pair of Rare and Amazing English Antique Davenport Pearlware Landscape Plates
This Pair of English Davenport Landscape painted Pearlware Plates measure about 7.5" in diameter each. They each have a Davenport mark that dates the plate to 1810-25. Interestingly enough the plate with the chip to the backside actually gave me a revelation about these plates into my fourth pair of these being sold. The brown section appears to be made from brown clay and not painted brown. Two clays with matching consistencies on one plate! Both plates feature Bucolic Country landscapes. However one features a pretty bridge, and the other a fisherman! Both were used and have scratches, but both have very readable paintings!

One does have a chip to the back as pictured. The other two just have enamel loss as pictured. Two of the plates have charming fishing scenes with one a picture of a hiker in a bucolic landscape. This is the last three I have. g.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk%601d72f%2Bjw%60hquvg%3Eg-13e101e2e62-0xf6-

Size: Jug is 7 inches tall and 7 inches wide from handle to spout. Thanks for looking!
