Delicate gilt tole with flower accents and beautiful curved branches are driping with macaroni beads and white opaline glass drops. Each has the original white bobeches and all is in excellent condition. Wired with e-14 sockets the wiring is in good condition. Although all vintage wiring should be checked. Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! 5 DAY AUCTION! Up for auction is a beautiful Opaline(or Burmese? Art Glass Vase. The coloring is more light blue at the top and gradually changes to light yellow at the bottom. I believe the harware to the base and rim is brass. There is expected wear to the metal with a few light dents but nothing distracting. I has been wiped down with soft cloth and water but you may want to do further cleaning and shining. As I look at the brass feet and hardware I think of a Czech/Bohemian art glass common in the late 1800's. However. As I have had it on display, I have had comments that the paintings are similar to Mt Washington. By the way, the enamel paintings are very intact and still with lots of color. Looking closely you will even see some of the fine gold accents ... moreremaining. All the hardware, top& bottom, is secure. No chips, cracks or repairs. There is only very light surface wear in the form of rubs or light brushing marks. I really don't know if some of this just part of the painted design or not. There are no scratches or damage to the glass. It is 5 7/8 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches across at the widest part. This is a very sweet vase that is sure to spark lively debate over it's true origin ~ and you will enjoy the beautiful paintings! It is in excellent condition with no chips, or cracks. The top rim of base is ground and polished and the lid is pressed. This beautiful Portieux Vallerysthal Mint Green French Opaline Vase measures about 8.75" tall. And is about 4.5" in diameter. The bottom has what appears to be a W mark on it as pictured. It is in very nice vintage condition with only a tiny flea bite to the rim and light enamel wear. Please refer to pictures. The bottom was ground flat probably from the pontil mark and shows light wear. Description This is a beautiful pair of earrings and pendant necklace. These are vintage items but I am unsure exactly when they were made? They are set with clear white paste stones and a central fiery opaline cabochon. The paste stones in the earrings are all evenly matched. The pastes in the pendant have different shapes, the smaller are round facet cut and the larger ones are oval facet cut. They are all gorgeous. So pretty and sparkly they look amazing on. these were difficult to photograph and I don't think I did them justice) It pendant drop measures approx 39 mm/ 3.9 cm/ just over 1&1/2" long, and 20 mm/ 2 cm/ just over 3/4" across at the widest point. This is a simply fabulous and unique piece. The family originally purchased a pair and used them to store salt. They come from an estate of one of the first Dutch se ttlers to Pennsylvania. The age is indicated by the small bubbles in the glass. And by the styling of the piece. It would be a gorge ous vase or display piece. It stands 12 1/2" high by 5" wide at the widest part of the base. The color is holding up well with only gentle fading. This is a quality piece. There are no detectable cracks. PAIR 1880s BRISTOL OPALINE VASES, HANDBLOWN, PONTILLED, RUFFLED RIM
Be sure to add me to your! This PAIR OF BRISTOL OPALINE HAND BLOWN. PONTILLED, RUFFLED RIM VASES are from the late 1800's. The white opaline glass is thin and almost opalescent with beautiful hues of pink and orange when seen with light or sun shining through. The 3 1/2 inch bases are deeply pontilled. The bodies taper in to 2 1/2 inches and then flower out 2 3/4 inches at the shoulders before narrowing to 2 1/4 inch necks which further narrows to 1 1/2 inches before the ruffles begin. The fluid. Undulating ruffles are not identical; the glass ruffles have fairly even crimping through- out which then flows up and down and around the top at the discretion of the glass crafter. The widest diameter of the ruffled tops is 3 1/2 inches. The height of the vases to the top of the ruffles is 8 1/2 inches.
