The interior is nicely fitted with a lift out tray with individual compartments with lids/tops with turned bone knobs. One of the larger compartments in the tray in missing the lid. Or perhaps it did not have one to have an open compartment. The piece measures 12 inches wide, 8 inches deep and 5 1/2 inches high. Unfortunately. A portion of the box suffered from some water damage and that area has come loose and lifted a bit with some of the small pieces coming out. Please see the pictures for the details. Most of the pieces are there and included. So the box could be put back nicely by someone with the proper skills. One of the knob for the interior lids is missing and one is broken, otherwise, the sewing box is in good antique condition with just the normal signs of age and use. JAPANESE MARQUETRY PICTURE.
The item for sale is a beautiful marquetry Japanese landscape. It is of Mount Fuji a classic landscape in Japan. The landscape is done in different coloured woods and is in exceptional condition as is the mitred window mount surrounding it. It is in excellent condition. The frame measures 16 inches x 12 inches. The actual marquetry landscape within the window-mount meaures 9.75 inches x 7.5 inches. The window-mount is covered in a medium green fabric whish sets off the landscape perfectly. The window-mount has been mitred. The frame itself is a simple dark frame. It possibly needs a coat of paint but this would not be a big job. It really is an exceptional piece of marquetry. I have no clues who actually carried this work out but there is a symbol which is part of the marquetry on the bottom right of the panel. UK postage quoted.

Vintage Wood Music Box Table- Delicate Marquetry- Italian This table has been in my family for generations- when opened. It plays'Come Prima' in delicate music box style- while we do not know the exact age of the table, the patterns and marquetry speak for themselves. The photo shows the two flaws in the table: the underside veneer has flaked in one spot and the locking mechanism to the box needs to be refurbished if you so choose. I have chosen to leave it as is- to me, the age is part of the charm- the only minor repairs have been to the legs at the join-points. Here's a very nice marquetry wood inlay sailboat sunset with lighthouse and seagulls picture. There is a"real" signature(not stamped) on the left bottom and I believe it's Jeff Nelson's signature. I compared this signature with other Nelson real signatures and it looks very similar. I can't quite make out the year. But I think it's 1989. The total outside measurements are 8 3/4" x 11" The image size is 8" x 10" It is equipped with a hanger on the back. It's framed in a very nice hardwood frame. Shipping via USPS is $5.00. Rare Antique Folk Art Marquetry Inlaid Tilt Top Table
Offered for your consideration is this Early Folk Art Inlaid Circular Tilt-Top Tripod Table. This table came out of a very wealthy early estate. Who said the table was in their family for several generations. The top of the table has a scalloped edge with a design carved into it. The table has an outstanding detailed inlay on top, consisting of goats and some sort of flowing heart design. We are not sure what wood the piece is made of. It appears to be a birdseye maple veneer top with inlaid marquetry and a dark walnut base. The top is supported by a fluted and carved pedestal base with carved feet that resemble a twisted root design characteristic of Black Forest. The size and shape of this table makes this piece able to fit anywhere! The top measures approximately 20 1/2" in diameter and the table measures 29" tall. Definitely ... morean heirloom quality table that would make a fantastic addition to any home. I will do my best to describe the condition. The boards that fasten on to the bottom of the top appear to be crudely cut on an angle for some reason, we have taken closeups pictures that should tell the story. There is a few small spots on the top where the inlay is missing. Also, the shiney finish shows wear and loss on top of the table and could use a refinish job if that is a concern. However, it still displays well, having a nice antique, folky look to it. The tilt mechanism amounts to a simple board that moves forward and backward allowing the table to tilt. This is one of the nicest early Folk Art tables I have ever seen, a must for the serious collector. This table is being offered AS IS, if you need any additional photos please ASK BEFORE BIDDING. Federal Marquetry Card Table (1780 -1810) Mahogany with Gorgeous Inlay
This is a fine period federal table with exquisite marquetry inlay all over. Tapered legs, fold out rotating game top with internal game compartment, and compact for display and use anywhere in the home. This is a fabulous piece of federal furniture. Circa 1790-1810 The top has a center split from wood shrinkage as almost all these types of tables do. A stain and a few light losses of inlay on the top. Marquetry on legs and body is superb which tells me that this is exceptionally well made table. This masterpiece measures 29 1/2" tall by 31 3/4" long by 16" deep. It only stays latched if there is a small item placed through the loop. I believe this piece to be vintage. 1900's as it was my grandmothers. Offered for sale is a sideboard made by Maitland Smith. Marked with a brass plate on the inside of the middle large drawer as well as on the back. Flame mahogany veneer. Banding veneer and Swags and circles of flowers made of inlaid wood. The middle top drawer on the deck has an inlaid picture of a musical intruments with flowers. Lions head drawer pulls. The sideboard has two large bottle drawers on either side and one large wide center drawer. There is a deck on the back of the piece. With 5 smaller drawers. The top of the piece. Gorgeous& Rare Art Deco Marquetry Mantle Clock. Please scroll down below to see all pictures! Origin: France. Date: 1920s. Maker: Renowned clockmaker Japy Freres from Paris. Materials: The mantle clock and it's garnitures are made out of different kinds of marble and the clockcase is adorned with black marble inlays. The ensemble stands on ball-shaped metal feet. The bevelled glass dial cover is still original. The dial face is made out of enamel with arabic numbers. The movement is made out of solid brass elements. One hammer hits on a silver-plated bell(due the silver-plate the chime sounds clearer as it would do if the bell would only be made out of brass) The movement runs eight days and keeps the time accurately. It chimes the half hours once and the full hours fully. The movement is marked with"Japy Freres& Cie. Med. ... mored'honneur" The clock comes with the original pendulum(marked with the same serial number as the movement) and the original wind-up key. The garnitures have an immersion above where candles can be mounted. Condition: The entire mantle clock is in truly great condition. Especially if one is considering the high age of this rare clock. The marble stone is absolutely undamaged and doesn't even possess the current marble nibbling like most marble antiques. The movement was recently serviced by a professional clockmaker. The enameled dial face has no cracks or restorations. Please have in mind that after the transport(due to the sensitivity of the movement) a smaller revision might be necessary. But the wear on the holes to fix it to the wall look consistant with it being at least 100 years old. There is a split in the bottom half of the frame, but it does not go to the edge and the mirror is still tightly mounted. Mostly around the front left leg. The marble top is in great condition, with natural veining and russet inclusions. Antique Continental Marquetry Desk 18th/19th
This is a late 18 th or early 19 th century desk that has wonderful fruitwood inlay. It is European. The central theme of the inlay is fruit baskets with flowers around them. The drop front has a couple of birds on the flowers. The piece is 46” across. 45 ¼” high and 24” deep. There are 3 drawers on the inside and under the drawers are removable pieces that hide hidden compartments. There are 3 large drawers on the front. The piece has bracket feet.
