And the top shade is appx. 14 inches wide at the diameter. Each panel on top is roughly 8 inches in length. The base is 8 inches at the widest and about 6x6x6x6. The lamp weighs roughly 11 pounds. You can use the lamp with both Top& Lower sections lit. Top only, or Bottom only as a night light. I could see no real defects in the piece. All glass is good& metal(leaded) welded parts look good. this is a stunning vintage handmade leaded stained glass electric chandelier. it has beautifully detailed and completely handmade from exquisitely colored glass and lead. the glass has nice blues. Pinks, and whites and is all in great shape, no cracks it is 4 sided and all wired ready to hang. it holds a single light bulb and one of the panels is an opened window to access the bulb. the other panels are made from clear glass so it doesn't even look like there is glass in these areas. it comes with a dark hanging chain as well. it is very well made and made from very thick quality glass. it measures 41 inches from ceiling to bottom of the fixture. the fixture alone measures 15 1/2 inches by 7 1/4 inches by 7 1/4 inches. great chandelier in wonderful shape. Elegant, original and very rare* Bigelow Kennard of Boston leaded glass and bronze table lamp with all its original signature parts and 280 pieces of carefully chosen glass which have been leaded to form the shade. It dates from around 1906. This lamp has been in my immediate family since the fall of 1975 when it was purchased from a fine art antique shop in Chicago. I have really enjoyed having this beautiful lamp for all these years and it is time to let another enjoy it. I have written that it is"very rare' because the shade and the base are the original match to one another as shown in a magazine article photo about Bigelow Studios( please see photo 11. And the article info below) About the company: The Bigelow Kennard& Co. of Boston was one of the leading merchants of Boston in the 19th and early 20th century. ... moreSelling very high-quality domestic and imported glass, silver and clocks. John Bigelow founded the firm around 1824 and was soon joined by his brothers, Alanson and Abraham Bigelow. In 1830, they were known as Bigelow Brothers. But when Martin Parry Kennard of Brookline joined the firm around 1846 the company became known as Bigelow Brothers& Kennard until 1863. Then from 1863 to 1972 it was Bigelow Kennard& Co. For a buyer this is a wonderful piece of"hard proof" provenance: An 8-page article on the Bigelow Studios appeared in the“New Series. Volume XLI September 1909— February, 1910” edition of"New England Magazine, An Illustrated Monthly. On page 517 there is a photograph that shows this base and finial with this shade. It was only connected to show how it looks lit and that it does work. It has a standard size socket and a three way switch. It's a quality made piece, solid, not flimsy, thick glass, well leaded. Beautiful antique large eight panel slag glass lamp. Circa 1900-1910. Elegant and stately urn shaped metal base has nice belle flower detailing with scroll feet. Has a gold wash over a silver finish. Nice original patina. Caramel slag glass panels are nicely handpainted with urns and floral sprays and leaf motif designs with art nouveau lines. No breaks or chips on any of the panels or metal frame. Lamp measures 25.5” tall. The shade itself measures 21” wide and 9.5“ high and the base is 9” in diameter. I was told lamp is signed Miller under metal base plate but I have never taken apart to see. The three bulb lamp has been rewired. Has original sockets and replaced saturn pull chains. The lamp has three panels that look to have been repainted with leaf design. The panels may have been replaced but are a perfect match. Beautiful Large Antique Leaded Stained Glass Lamp 3 Lights 24" Tall, 20" shade
You are considering this outstanding antique leaded glass lamp. There are no markings that I could find. If you know the manufacturer. Please let me know. The lamp is approximately 24 1/2" tall. It has 3 lights. You can have 1 light on, two lights on, or all three lights on. The switch is on the base. The lamp works perfectly. I think the cord has been replaced. I do not send the bulbs to you for safety reasons. The leaded glass shade is both unique and very beautiful. It has an opalescent hue when lit that does not show in the pictures. It is about 19 3/4" diameter and 9" high. There are 6 small cracks on the shade which are in the pictures. Pictures 2. 3, 4, 5 show each side of the lamp shade. You have to use the zoom feature and look close to see them. There are a few lines on the shade which are not cracks. They show on ... moreone side of the shade but not the other. The lamp base is about 7 1/2" I believe the base is brass. It has a lovely patina. The sockets are wrap around rather than just straight up and down. Please use the zoom feature to see all of the wonderful detail. Shipping is $95.00 including a double box with lots of padding for the shade and a separate box for the base. 48 U.S. States only. This lamp base is c1920 and has a very nice classic style. It is unsigned and quite unusual. I attribute it to Handel because the shade rest fits all of my standard Handel shades but don't know its maker. It has mixed metal body but the socket cluster is brass and has original saturn pull chains. It shows appropriate ware for 100yr old lamp. It has a replaced wire but works great and is ready for your antique shade to complete it. It measures 20.5" tall with 6.5" base. The shade rest is about 3.5" across. This Item is sold as found. For auction is an unusual. But very attractive vintage table lamp. The translucent mica sections in the base are set in brass and soldered together in an interesting design. Fabulous Leaded Glass Handel Solid Bronze Lamp, Tiffany era reduced price
Fabulous leaded glass handel solid bronze lamp. The Handel co. is famous for its reverse painted lamps and run into the thousands. In my 40 years collecting and looking through the Handel books. The leaded glass lamps appear to be quite rare. This lamp has incredible colors displaying a bouquet of orange pinkish tuilips, with there stem and leaves. The shade is signed as shown with a quater inch by an inch signature plate. The shade is 7 1/2 inches tall and 17 1/2 inches wide. the design is one of the most beautiful ones they made. It is in excellent condition and has the beautiful original patina. It features three light original sockets with the distinctive acorn at the end of the pull chains. The wiring was not replaced due to the fact that it is in excellent condition. The lamp is 23 1/2 inches tall. DESCRIPTION: A nice pair of two old vintage Mission Arts and Crafts style hanging lantern lamps(see photos) These lamps are made of hammered copper with leaded glass shades(see photos) The lamps are in good condition with some signs of wear from age and use. The lamps are dirty and have mildew on them and they are in need of a cleaning and/ or polishing(see photos- If you want me to clean the shades ... moreand lightly polish some of the copper portions add $50.00 to the purchase price) The upper chains(replaceable) have some rusting. Each lamp measures about 12.5 inches high(to the loop on the top) and 6 and 1/2 inches wide. I would date these lamps to be 60 +/ years old. c1905 Gorham Art Nouveau Leaded Glass Lamp Deco Handel Tiffany Studios Era
DESCRIPTION- This is a great lamp by Gorham Lamp co c1905. It has a great classical look and feel. The hundred year old granite glass gives the room a great warm feel. It does have a little more masculine feel then a lot of the bright flowery patterns that try to compete with Tiffany during the period. This would make a great addition to your parlor or tap room.
