Vintage Red Dragonfly Stained Glass/ Leaded Candle-powered table lamp This is a vintage(about 20 years old) stained glass with metal leading table-sized“Candle-powered” lamp; the glass shade lifts off to reveal a“deck” in which to set a lighted candle. Then the shade is replaced on the lamp(much safer than having an open lighted candle out) The stained glass shade on this lamp features a total of four red“Dragonflies” one facing out on each side. Around the Dragonflies are blue and red cabochons, against a background of blended red/green and then all green glass pieces; the leading is black, so it really makes the Dragonflies“pop” in the design. The base of this lamp is made to look like bronze but I believe it’s actually brass; it has a fluted design in the metal. Huge. Rare, Chicago Mosaic Stained Leaded Glass Table Lamp. Beautiful colors! PLEASE NOTE the last three pictures are similar Chicago Mosaic shades I found on the web. The lamp base is entirely different. c. 1910 Shade measurements: Roughly 9-1/4" tall x 18-1/2" across. Base measurement with Shade: Double socket lamp has adjustable height and makes lamp between 28" and 32" tall. In the picture it is in it's highest position; I think it looks better lowered. There are some cracks to some of the glass panes. Roughly 11(give or take) possibly heat cracks, but as one might expect from a lamp of this age. Under the magnification feature you should be able to easily see them though they are not so visible under normal use. There have been no restorations done. Acorn finial. May or may not be original to lamp. Cast metal ... morebase. Possibly spelter. This lamp, overall, is extremely heavy. NO international shipping. Lamp is being sold as found. For sale is a rare Duffner& Kimberly leaded glass lamp shade only. The lamp base is shown for demonstration purposes only. If you are interested in the Pittsburgh lamp base with Wilkinson heat cap. The identical ceiling mounted version. Albeit with a ribbed edge for heat control, is shown in Paul Crist's book, Mosaic Shades II, at page 241, top right. A copy of the photo from p. 241 of the book is shown as the last photo in this listing. The shade is 20 1/4 inches in diameter and 6 1/2 inches deep. The inside cup diameter for the shade is 3 3/16 inches. The shade is rare in that it's bottom edge has an attractive 3/8 inch wide ring of patinated copper or ... morebrass folded along the bottom. This same heavy edge is shown on the corresponding ceiling mounted shade in the Paul Crist's book. The bluish glass in the shade is a beautiful vaseline glass. All the glass in this lamp shade is thick and heavy. However. There are numerous(about 31) hairline cracks to the glass. Some panels have two. At one time, someone used glue on the inside to stabilize the cracks. I did not try to remove it. Nevertheless, the lamp and glass is still stunning, particularly when lit. What I think is leaded but not sure, glass Star hanging light or lamp that is 18 1/2" tall and about 6 1/2" deep. This star really reflects light in all direction just in a sunny room the way it is made. It does not have any wiring and appears to have never had any wiring. The panels of glass are like cobalt blue. Amber and clear(hard to get perfect pictures) There is a metal bail made into top to hang it with. It has a door that opens on one side that I assume you put a candle in. 2 of the cones(cones appear to made of copper but I am not a metal ... moreexpert) Are missing off points on star and 3 of the tips of cones are missing from the cones that are still on it. On the opposite side that door opens on 4 of the clear glass panels are missing and 4 are cracked. On the side with the door none of the glass panels are missing and I think 2 panels are cracked, one clear and one colored. Large Scale Oak Floor Lamp w/ Leaded Glass Shade Hubbell Limbert Stickley Era
Large scale quarter sawn Oak floor lamp with a geometric leaded glass shade attributed to Duffner& Kimberly. Assembled fixture measures 77" tall. Shade measures 20" square and 12" tall. THe base measures 12" square and rests on four simple feet. The body features a warm finish on the tiger striped quarter sawn Oak. There are a few dings along the corners of the center pole. I will gladly provide images. But there was not enough room in this original listing. Perched atop the Oak center body is a cluster of four Harvey Hubbell INC pull chain sockets. Each pull chain measures 8 1/2" long and retains the original acorn shaped pull. The latest patent date on each socket shell is Oct 18 08. The brass components also retain a uniform finish. Shade features brass plated came and is extremely heavy. The shade fits the ... moremount on top of the lamp perfectly. They appear to be an original set and not a marriage. The two piece heat cap has a fitter soldered to the underside that mates up with the fitter on top of the shade and holds it securely in place. I will gladly provide images of this detail as well. I was able to locate 5 cracked panels on the shade. 2 are in the bottom green border on opposite side of the lamp and are shown in images 10& 11. The other 3 cracked panels are on a third side in the bottom row of caramel slag. They can be seen in images 8 and 9. Plug end is marked Hubbell as well. Cord was on the lamp when I purchased it and it did not need replacing. Cardboard socket insulators were replaced. Mica interiors remain intact. This fixture was definitely fabricated by a top of the line manufacturer at the beginning of the 20th century. This lamp was purchased in Michigan 15 years ago. I was unable to find any maker's mark or label on the shade or base. Wonderful addition to any collection. Additional pictures and measurements available upon request. Bradley & Hubbard 3 Socket Table Lamp For Slag Leaded Stained Glass Shade.
This is a beautiful lamp that needs to be restored. It has 3 sockets but only 2 of them have chains. One socket looks like a replacement with no chain. The base has paint loss. The mid section looks good. It has a nice patina. This lamp is 22 inches tall. It would make quite a show piece once restored. It is a heave lamp and very well made. The cord is in desperate need of replacement. I did not want to take a chance an plug it in. It has bare wires showing. Please see pictures for description. No reserve past opening bid for this gorgeous high quality guaranteed antique(circa 1915) leaded glass table lamp. Numbered"9" under base but otherwise mark appears illegible, see photo. Lamp has 16" diameter shade and stands 22" high, looks nice on or off, see pictures. Beautiful leaded art glass shade features graduating size light caramel colored segments over a band of darker caramel rectangles, with an apron consisting of 2 rows of colorful turquoise and blended color segments separated by light caramel segments and connected by alternating jewel-like green and red tapered oval pieces. Glass is all original. No replaced pieces. The leading has a gold tone finish, some minor wear. Metal base has color, shape and design that compliments the shade nicely. Original finish, minor wear only, see photos. The two sockets ... moreand pull chains work smoothly. The shade rests on a brass disc, which is unseen but is probably a replacement, looks newer. The cap/finial are definitely old but look to have been repainted, good match to base though. Lamp has been rewired at one time. Works fine. UNIQUE LEADED LAMP NOT HANDEL DUFFNER OR TIFFANY STUDIOS
You are viewing an early 1900's leaded lamp made by the Unique Lamp Company in NY. The shade is about 20 1/2" diameter and about 10" deep. The flowers go from pink when it's turned off. Then. To red when they are back-lit. I'm not sure of he pattern, but I've heard the flowers referred to as cabbage roses. One of the flowers has two pieces that are chipped. They should be visible in the close-up photos. The flower next to it to the right has two tight hairline cracks. I didn't notice until a few minutes ago. But the next to last photo shows a close-up of an area which has been repaired. I count around 10 pieces which have been re-soldered. I'm not sure if any glass was changed or not. A lot of these old big lamps pull apart at some of the solder joints. The base is very heavy and stands about 27 1/2" ... moretall to the top of the finial. I put a magnet on the bottom of the base and it would not stick. I scratched the bottom and the scratched area was silver. So, I'm guessing it's spelter. If you have questions feel free to ask. I try to give the most honest descriptions and take the best photos my camera and ability will allow. All components are in excellent condition and are from the 1920's era. The brass on both the base and the shade have a matching patina and appear to be original. The base is stamped Renaud. There is no missing fretwork on the shade. The shade measures about 15 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The lamp has been rewired and is pictured with 60 watt bulbs. It has a height of about 20 inches. The shade will be packed separately from the base so as to ensure its safe arrival. The base of this lamp is quite different than most we see. It features 3 nude figures. 2 women and 1 man. The women are displayed most prominently at both the bottom an top. The lady at the bottom is hanging on to a sheet that is being stretched into the air and has a look of pain or lust on her face as she stares at the other 2. The lady at the top is pulling the sheet upward and opens it wide. The man is hanging on to her by the backs of her thighs. The open sheet creates a cradle for the beautiful leaded stained glass shade. The shade itself is made up of 207 individual pieces of glass with 3 red glass balls for the goldfishes eyes. This lamp just keeps giving and giving with it uniqueness and design. We were able to attribute this to the famous Gustav Gurschner(we are including a bit of info on him at the end) This carries through with all of his tones and mannerisms. We have here a rare and hard to find authentic, WILKINSON LEADED STAINED GLASS LAMP on a Wilkinson base, which is signed with a number on the bottom. The number is a little hard to make out and might be 308, 309. Wilkinson uses 5 normally so it might be 508 or 509. This BEAUTIFUL Lamp is a stunner, BOTH ON and OFF as with leaded glass lamps, it's all about the color and this has GREAT COLORS& TEXTURE! I have seen this shade with this same floral pattern but not with these colors; and if you like BLUES& GREENS, PINKS& GOLDEN YELLOW ORANGE, this is for you. The choice of glass is OUTSTANDING. There is great coloration and excellent use of glass selected for TEXTURE, such as RIPPLE, slag, striated, swirling, marble& mottled glass, all expertly selected in the making ... moreof this shade. The shade is about 18.5 inches across x 8 3/8' tall. This is the known factory size, and it goes to show that this was never repaired. The height of the HEAVY library base is about 27' to the top of the ball finial. The shade is unsigned, which is normal and to be expected; but this is a known, fully DOCUMENTED LAMP made by Wilkinson Company in Brooklyn, New York, between 1907 and 1915. As the glass choice for the background is basically green and there is not a nice mix of colors. It sold for more than our opening price. Vintage 18" Curved Marbled White Leaded Slag Glass Arts & Crafts Lamp Shade
This is a very unusual vintage bell shaped marbled glass 12 panel lamp shade with fantastic metal ormolu flower accents on the bottom and in between each panel. There is also a decorative curved metal wire overlay. Welded at the leaded seams, around the middle of the shade. The shade looks very good but there are two small cracked areas on adjacent panels near the top. The cracks have been glued and nothing is loose. A few of the panels had pulled away from the leaded seams but were repaired and concealed with matching finish. So the repairs are not visible and none of the panels are loose. All of the floral ormolu overlay is intact and nothing seems to be missing. There are a few dirty spots on the shade that I haven't been able to scrub off, but the majority of the shade is clean. The diameter of the shade is 18" and it measures ... moreabout 7" tall. The hole in the middle of the top where it attaches to the lamp measures 1/4" in diameter. The shade will be packed very well. Note; My first photo& others have white spots of camera glare. Sorry about that, but all glass is very good to excellent condition. No reserve auction for a Rare, Original, 26" diameter, Duffner& Kimberly hanging lamp. Time to get on the computer and do your homework, as identical lamps have sold in the past. In August of 2003, an identical shade with original hardware, finial cap, chain, swag etc. sold for $32,000. In November of 2009, in the middle of the housing meltdown, at same venue, an identical shade with some original hardware, caps& chain, sold for $11,500. This lamp will"knock you out" when lit, way better than my photos, which are never enhanced or altered. Would say the condition is near excellent for this type of shade. The glass is all bright and shiny, no heat checking or crazing, or heat related ... morestaining or darkening. Could benefit further from a professional cleaning. Besides the 2 similar 2" hairline cracks shown in my photos#9& 10, their are Only 6 small side panel pieces with single small hairlines, that are hard to spot, and a single tiny separation of the edge leading, see last photo. None of the large fuschia pink side panels have any cracks. I say Only, because if you are familiar with these type of complex shades, 100 years old or so, they declared bankruptcy in 1911) with hundreds of pieces of glass, to have only 8 with cracks is a very good low number, and their are No chips or holes or replacements. Other minor issues; looks like possibly a single, minor, 7" metal seam repair, hard to spot and very solid, see photo#11. The functioning, signed Hubbell, 3 socket light fixture with acorn pulls that work, appears to be original, but is/was loose, and so I removed it for preservation, and possible shipping, and to show the top frame configuration. With the fixture removed, the shade is 12" tall. The top metal cover between the hanger and the light fixture is not original, obviously. I am offering this Vintage 1970s leaded crystal glass globe table lamp. It is 29" with harp. It has 4 pcs of 2" crystal prisms. It is in excellent condition. I have taken it completely apart. Cleaned everything, either cleaned or replaced the harp, light socket, A/C cord. It has a 3-way socket, bottom on, top on or both on, with bottom night light. The shade is not included, it costs more to ship it, than buy a new one and honestly, they quite often smell like their 50 years old. this is a stunning vintage handmade leaded stained glass electric chandelier. it has beautifully detailed and completely handmade from exquisitely colored glass and lead. the glass has nice blues. Pinks, and whites and is all in great shape, no cracks it is 4 sided and all wired ready to hang. it holds a single light bulb and one of the panels is an opened window to access the bulb. the other panels are made from clear glass so it doesn't even look like there is glass in these areas. the ceiling canopy is a nice domed shape and also handmade from blue and pink leaded glass. it comes with a dark hanging chain as well. it is very well made and made from very thick quality glass. it measures 42 inches from ceiling to bottom of the fixture. the fixture alone measures 15 1/2 inches by 7 1/4 inches by 7 1/4 inches. great chandelier in wonderful ... moreshape. This is a truly beautiful stained glass light fixture. It has wonderful green. Pink, and yellow colors. The shade measures about 18 inches in diameter and has a depth of about 12 inches. The chain is large and has been left with its vintage petina- looks great. The ceiling canopy has a vintage brass patina as well. The glass is all there and is from the 1920's era.
