It has an applied glass foot with five feet, which note that the five feet have no damage, quite rare to find. The item is in excellent shape and has no damage. This lam p is NOT a reproduction. The item measures about 26 1/2" from top to bottom. Th is auction includes the lamp base as well as the s hade you see in the photos above. While I think the two go to gether very well. I can not say the sha de is origina l to the lamp. In fact I doubt it. The shade is certainly vintage. But again, I do not thin k it's as old as the lamp. The deco lady has some of her finish worn from her stomach. Hair, and b reasts. She measures 11 5/8" tall. The lamp works w ell and appears to have been rewired long before it came into my pos session. Cool, Space Age Flexible Neck/Base Coil Lamp/Enamel Diffuser - 1970s
This very cool lamp obviously takes its inspiration from Isoe Hasoe's Hebi lamp designed for Valenti. Italy in 1973- I am guessing that this ispirational American variation is probably contemporary and dates from the early to mid 1970s. It features a goose neck flexible form that allows you to coil the lamp to create a support base. The lamp culminates in a white enamel diffuser head that takes a single bulb. You can"shape" it into a number of different arrangements and the flexible yet rigid coil stays in place. It's in excellent vintage condition with a few light scratches here and there to the diffuser head- absolutely nothing objectionable or unexpected. The black plastic sheath coil is in the excellent condition with some accumulated dust in the creases of the coil when you inspect very closely. Features a black cord ... morethat has a bit of wear but again, nothing unexpected for its age; the cord features an on/off toggle. Diffuser measures 5.25" x 5.5" x 3" height; lamp fully expended measures 44" base tip to top of diffuser) As positioned in photo#1, lamp footprint is approx. 9" x 9" x 19" height; cord measure 60" Lamp is working great(photo#3 illustrates the lamp illuminated) and includes its original bulb which is a 40 watt type S11 bulb. The ceramic base only measures 8 1/8" in height and 5" wide. The lamp is in working order but does require a shade(the kind that sit on a light bulb) that I do not have and light switch works but is stiff. The listing is for base only. The condition of item is good with a few minimal flaws that are very small pin size brown pitting in glaze mainly on top of lamp base. This Gorgeous Lamp Base was produced by'Céramique de Beauce' In the 1950's. It features a Naked Woman. It is listed to the Marius-Barbeau Museum. At my knowledge, it was never used. Paper rice shade is supposed to fit that Lamp Base. It is marked underneath, Beauceware 688 Canada. Measurements are: 16 1/2' 42 cm) long x around 10' 25,25 cm) high x 7 1/2' around 19cm) wide, at the widthest part. Still nice patina. Using a magnifying glass, I see crazing, and a very minor crack(see picture 9, at left of the hole) to the back of the Lamp Base. Excellent condition for its age. Vintage Table Lamp w/ Cameo Portraits & Brass Base
Up for the auction is a vintage table lamp made of a matte white glass on a metal brass base(pics. 1-4) It is decorated with a band of alternating cameos with women's portrait on a gold background(pics. 5-6) Gold decoration continues between the cameos and up to the top with floral motifs(pics. 7-10) It is in a good used condition with the intact glass and the base. The finial has a long line and several endings are missing at the very top(see pics. 11-12) which do not distract from its elegant and slender beauty. Vintage Cambridge ELAINE etch hurricane lamp, Martha base plus extra base
Here's a great little example of vintage elegant glassware which was produced by the famous Cambridge Glass Company of Cambridge. Ohio. This is(I believe) Cambridge's#1617 Hurricane Lamp, featuring Cambridge's"Elaine" etched decoration, which first appeared in the mid-1930's and continued in production into the early 1950's at least(Cambridge went out of business around 1955) The base for the Hurricane Lamp is Cambridge's"Martha" blank candlestick, and as you can see I have an extra one of these(I'd imagine these were originally two hurricane lamps, but the second met an ugly fate sometime in the past sixty years) The Martha candlestick is about 5-3/16" across. And about 4-3/4" tall. With the hurricane lamp placed on the candlestick, the whole getup is about 8-5/8" tall. VTG Clear Blown Glass Lamp Base Chandelier Ceiling Top Thumb Prints Metal Collar
Vintage clear blown glass lamp or chandelier part. Thumbprints of various sizes are pressed into the outside surface and around the neck. At the narrow end there is a fixed brass plug with a white metal ornamental collar that slides over it. A hollow threaded rod is set into the plug. There is a clear passage through that rod and out the bottom opening. There is a small opening on the top side of the base. Which makes me think it was part of a table lamp. However, the inside rim of that hole has tiny chips around it, which may mean that it was drilled after-the-fact and that this piece might be the top end of a glass chandelier. There is a large opening on the underside of the base surrounded by a short raised lip. This opening may have set into a ceiling canopy at one time. Weighs 1 lb 10 oz. Vase is hand painted in"wucai" fashion with under glaze cobalt blue and enamels. The bottom is marked with a Ming"Wanli" emperor reign auspicious mark inside double blue rings and a"CHINA" stamped mark. This came off of an old lamp from the 1920-30's so I assume that this is at least that old. The shape is rather interesting and is like a cylinder or drum shape and the top opening is like that seen on Meiping shaped vases. I have never seen another in this shape. It is very heavy for it's size. About 5 lbs. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It, of course has been drilled for lamp. Floral Toleware Metal Boudoir Lamp Set/2 Shabby Painted Plaster Base Table Vtg
From a local estate. Here is a superb pair of older toleware painted metal table or boudoir lamps. Each lamp stands about 18" from base to top of the socket, plaster bases are about 4.5" square. Center shaft and floral decorative elements are painted steel, both have the same elements but are a little different from being wrapped and bent differently. Cords look to be original and are still supple, the sockets may be newer, both work just fine. There is some paint loss on the bases and on the metal parts, and it looks like the metal may have been touched up in a few spots. I don't see any broken or missing pieces, but one of the lower leaves is broken halfway and should be handled with care or repaired. This is an Unusual Style Piece of Missouri made Stoneware or Pottery. This is shaped like a Jug. But has hollow sides and a Molded Candle holder on the inside. The Piece has an applied Handle and looks to hand-thrown. It is stamped on both the front and the reverse by the maker, EVANS POTTERY, HAND MADE, DEXTER, MO. Part of the letters are sort of double impressed on the reverse, the word Evans is readable twice on that side. The base of the piece is marked in Black marker with the original price"$1.50" and there is lightersort of Bluish writing that reads, FERN CLYFF, AUG. 4. I can't make out more than what looks like a'19" The Jug measures 8& 1/2 inches tall. It is thick and quite heavy. It looks in Fine, Mostly Clean condition, although there is a Very Tight hairline shown in one picture that is Fine like Hair ... moreand runs from one side of the handle mostly around the Jug. Nippon Pottery Lamp Base Birds Pink Cherry Blossoms
This listing is for a lovely 8 and 3/4 inch pottery lamp base marked Nippon. There are a couple of brown dots which appear to be part of the lamp glaze. There is a bit of color loss to the pink on the back side as seen in the pictures. Fabulous 1930's vintage Italian Tole lamp with Lilies. Iris, and Chrysanthemums! Beautiful hand carved Gold gilt base. a stunning lamp! 37" tall to the original harp& finial.26" to the top of the socket. Still has the brass'Made in Italy" tag. The lamp has some patina. But it's not dirty. Some paint loss on some of the branches, but not bad at all and no flaking paint. It works.the cord has an old socket that should be replaced. Here is a very rare and very fine Morning Glory lamp base signed" Charles Lotton.1974" I confirmed with Charles Lotton that he made and assembled this piece in 1974,and is one of his first lamps that he made. This is not a conversion that was done at a later date.But an original by Charles. The lamp stands 22' tall,and the art glass section is 7" tall by 5 1/2" wide. The glass section is mounted to an Oriental style carved wood base at the bottom and the metalwork above is primarily bronze with patina. As shown in the photos,the signature and date are inscribed on one of the leaves towards the lower part of the glass section. The Morning Glory floral design along with leaf and vine wrap are cased in a layer of clear glass,adding depth to its vivid appearance. Looks like a piece of Tiffany! The glass is actually pink frosted rather than behind glass p aint ed so the tone is consistent and even throughout. Lovely when sunlight shines through it. There are small production ruffs along the inside of the bottom and there may be the odd small nibble. But they must be very small because I ca n't see any. The wiring was redone years ago and the white plastic cord needs a good clean. If you'd like to rewire the lamp it's a simple project. There are sellers here on ebay that stock bran d new cloth covered cord in all the deco vintag e colors. The lamp takes a clip on bul b shade adapter like the one in the last ... morephoto.
