The lower portion of the body is embellished with impressive embossed fluted decoration. The decoration to the lower portion incorporates a fine and impressive reed decorated spigot. I believe this example dates to circa 1820 based on the applied floral trim and flattish shape of the knob, which didn't come in until the beginning of the 19th century. No marks save for later insurance marks. This is common on OSP. The interior of the coffee pot is tinned. It has a wooden handle. Which I believe is original. Part of the knob is also wooden. The coffee pot stands 10 3/4 inches tall and measures 9 inches wide from spout to handle. It weighs 2 lbs(shipping weight 3 lbs) Condition: Very good overall. No dents or repairs. But it does have rosing(copper show through) on the body and one spot on the lid. As shown. Half of the wooden section of the knob is missing. Where it is missing you can see the attachment screw. For sale are antique bellows that measure about 15.75" long. They are obviously in need of repair if you actually want to use them but to me they are more like a work of art. The front of the bellows feature beautifully detailed hand tooled dragons(or griffin) with barbed tail and tongue. These winged beasts host armored crests on their bellies and a mighty fiery torch above their heads. As far as bellows go this is about as good a motif as you get! Again. The bellows need a good deal of repair if you wish to make them function but to me the artwork here is most important, and that part of it is in VERY NICE shape with light wear and a wonderful warm patina, as pictured.
