Large antique cloissonne clock. Probably from the late 1800's. 19 inches high and 13 inches long approximately. Weighs 16 pounds. Hand made Cloissonne. Comes with brass key. The clock works but overwinds easilly and then will stop after a short time and I would need to fidget with the pendulum to get it to go for the 24 hours that it can actually do but it can not function reliably without repair. Some small damage to top. Oustanding Ornate French Early 19th Century Figural Bronze Clock with Silk Thread Suspension. In Superb Fully Working Condition Outstanding French clock with silk suspension(thus. Dating it to the first half of the 19th century) The condition of this clock is simply superb, hard to believe that the clock is close to 200 years old. Original gilding is in excellent condition, so is silvered dial. No damage that I can find whatsoever. Pendulum was removed to take a better picture of the movement, but it is included with the clock. Pictures speak for themselves, but do let me know if you have any additional questions. French antique garniture set Lovely 3 piece set of a vase clock with matching candelabras. The porcelain is quite thin and has a matt bisque finish. There are flowers hand painted on it. The white color is enameled paint. The main color is a lovely deep sea blue/green. The flowers on it make it even nicer. I have never seen a set like this. Made around 1880-1900. The ornaments are partly made of brass and partly made of bronze. All the ornaments are original and in good. Antique condition, with only minor wear. Wonderful French movement in wanting to run condition. The escapement is in working and the springs are not broken. High grade movement with steel pallets on the verge. The dial is quite beautiful and has what I believe is a arts and craft pottery piece in the center of the dial? I did not take it apart to look to see if it was pottery? Large dial measuring 5 1/2' diameter. The bezel measures 5 6/8' diameter. The back of the bezel the part that fits into the case is 5 1/2' diameter. Very nice high quality 8 day movement. Junk Drawer Estate Find Antique French Brass Marble Ormulos Portico Mantle Clock
This is a very beautiful South Georgia Estate Find. It is French Marble and Brass and very decorative. Yet still has a classic look. I do not know if this tem works or not but, it did seem to be running on the mantle when we bought it. No one at the estate could find the key for it. It is 14" in height to the top of the birds. 9" across the widest part of the base. The clock face is 3 1/2" in diameter. I could find no maker's name or identification except E.P. 7092 on the inner rim, and on the back of the works are 7092 64.One column does seem to have a crack in it but is still tight and doesn't shift. One screw has been replaced in the back casing. Other than that, and needing a good cleaning, it seems to be in great condition. Please view all pics carefully BEFORE bidding. This is very fine and original French 19 th century repeating carriage clock by eminent maker Alfred Drocourt of Paris. France circa 1880. It is in working condition and comes with the original key. It has an 8 day striking and repeating movement with the original platform lever escapement. There is an enamel dial with Roman numerals which is set within a well and engraved around the dial. There is substantial gilt brass case with reeded columns and plain capitals. It is 8 inches tall including handle that lifts or flattens. The clock bears the trademark of Drocourt between the plates of the movement. This clock is numbered 26092. And it has glass on the top and 3 sides so that you can see the clock works. The chimes in make on the hour are quite charming! Antique Bronze Gilt Clock Case No Movement French Tower Shelf Mantle
Up for auction is a beautiful case no matter what movement you slide in here! This piece(mind you I am NOT an expert) has a very European look. So I am guessing French. Please take a second(or 20) to look at the designs/patterns and come to your own conclusion. There are 2 stamps inside across from each other. Both markings are the same, it almost looks like a cup or Paul with an S on it. Other than that I have not a clue. But it is beautiful. And it is HEAVY! Oustanding French 19th Century Porcelain Clock Garniture with Balance Escapement Movement. In Excellent and Fully Working Condition Outstanding French figural porcelain clock with candelabra. Dating to the second half of the 19th century. The clock has a very fine balance escapement movement(thus, does not need balancing to run properly) The condition of this clock is great, the only thing that I can find wrong with it is a repair to one of the candelabra(shown in the last photo) Original gilding has virtually no wear at all. This is really the only clock of its kind that I have seen, normally French porcelain clocks are done by Paris Porcelain in the tradition of Jacob Petit, but this one is quite different and highly unusual. Who are very light sleepers or who did not wish to be disturbed in a certain area of the home or office, perhaps. You see this automatically on the porcelain face with the one turning. It was also made without a glass bezel. This is an old clock.not sure how old, but very old. The face and all parts of clock are intact, NO chips, etc. It is signed on the bottom in pencil(some past owner from the 19c) with a name. It is written in the old script style of writing of that era. Maybe you are better at translating than I. It has French original works and is a great time keeper. No problems at all. My husband's friend is a clock restorer and it has been cleaned and maintained. No married ... morepieces or such. Both the works and the penduleum have same numbers, so if you are a clock expert, you can look it up with probably some resource book that is out of edition. The clock measures 12" high. 9 1/2" wide and 4 1/4" deep. The gilt seems to be all original as well and the lady is probably one of the French royalty. The French were famous for that. The white stone is onyx which I understand is a type of marble. Whatever.it is very lovely with no chips. It sits on 4 little bun feet done in stone as well. It is adourned with more gilt decorations. All intact. Shipping is $39 due to weight and extra packing. That includes insurance. Ship fees have skyrocketed. The bronze case is nicely patinated to a medium bronze color. The 8 day time and strike clockworks show the Japy Freres mark. They are clean. Complete and run very well. The clock chime strikes once on the half-hour and tolls the hours on a pleasant sounding bell chime. The clock is in good antique condition. The only damage of note is that the front door does not stay properly latched and is slightly open(see photos) the pendulum is a correctly sized modern replacement and the nut that holds the bell in place is not correct. Circa 1850's French made Ormolu clock for Black-Starr-Frost. New York- dial& movement both marked. Heavy clock weighs approx 15 pounds with a height of approx 15 inches. No pendulum. No way to determine if it runs. Movement appears to be intact. No key. Glass in door is okay. Clock did strike the half& full hour. Bell striking chime. Porcelain dial has cracks& chips. The original hand-painted details are still present. The brass face and pendulum retain a wonderful natural patina and haven't been polished(this would compromise the original painted details) Weight driven 8 day movement with a bell chime(very loud) once on the half hour and sequentially to the hour on the hour. Also repeats the hour. She was created by A. Calin in the town of Autun. France. Autun is a commune in the Saone-et-Loire region in Burgundy in eastern France. A fantastic three piece mixed marble cased clock and garniture set with spelter figural adornments. The clock case measures 17.25" long and is 13.75" high to the top of the lady's head. The spelter figures have no cracks. Breaks or repairs. There is something missing from the lady's right hand- there is a small tube that held something- perhaps a bouquet. There is a chip to the tip of the white triangular piece of marble near the base. The brass works are unmarked except for the numbers 16500 and 38. The clock winds and runs. The chime works. There is no pendulum so I don't know if it keeps time. Two footed garnitures are in excellent condition. The dial has a light circular scratch shown in the photos and is marked"Delorme Chateauroux" A beautiful decorative set with great eye appeal.
