lot antique Victorian Eastlake mortise locks doorknobs vintage lockset hardware
I have a fabulous rare lot of old Eastlake period door hardware for your consideration dating to the 1880's. These are direct drive from doorknob to latch drive. No drive rod. Doorknobs simply snap into lockbox by depressing latch armature and sliding neck collar end into place. This is high quality cast bras or bronze manufacture made by Niles manufacturing Co. of Chicago. Solid cast backplates have a beautiful ornate geometric floral patterning on them consistent with their age. Large bulbous doorknobs look that they might have had an unusual original pattern mimicking a wood grain? Lock face plates have similar patterns. There are two sizes of mortise locks. The larger has a face plate size of 1 1/16 x 6 3/8 and the smaller has a face plate size of 15/16 x 5 5/8 and both have a face plate thickness of 3/16 of an inch. Both mortise ... morelocks appear to have a standard 2 3/8 inch offset. Face of mortise lock to center of key barrel. I do not have any keys that fit so you will have to find one or have one made for these. Subsequently I was not able to test the deadbolt slide. The latches seem to work fine and springs feel good for reuse. Most of the original screws included which are brass or bronze as well. Sorry forgot to remove the matching strikes.You will have to find some that will work with this configuration. This is a nice hard to find lot of old door hardware for your renovation or repair or for the vintage hardware reseller. Look at pics closely and ask any questions you might have other wise what you see is what you get. No reserve and low start as always. Flat ship is 12.95 to the US. Thanks for looking.

Up for your consideration is an early east lake style childs or doll sized chaise lounge or fainting sofa. It is hand carved with squares nails. The black is natural patina. It very old dating around 1860-1870. It has been reupholstered using green silk during the 1920's. They had enough sense to use the original brass beading. No rips or tears in upholstery. Probaly was restored at that same time, using a cleat, to keep backrest tight. It worked, item is still rock solid and very sturdy. It measures 24" Long by 12" Wide and stands 14"tall. Antique Eastlake Style Bookcase Cabinet Triple Beveled Glass Doors Original Keys
PICK UP AVAILABLE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA OR YOU WILL NEED TO ARRANGE PICKUP AND SHIPPING TO YOUR DESTINATION. This is a beautiful Eastlake piece of history. Dates from late 1800's. Mahogany, 55 inches high, 52 inches wide and 14" deep. The doors are heavy beveled glass as are the mirrors on either side. The doors lock and I have the original keys. Pictures don't do it justice, fine detailing and styling. It has a few minor issues, I have the piece you can see is missing from the top. We purchased this book cabinet in Central Pennsylvania in the early 1970's from an antique dealer. He estimated it to be almost 100 years old at that time. It isn't perfect, there are some surface scratches on the top and side shelves but a beauty, fine workmanship and detail. A truly lovely old piece of furniture. Antique Eastlake Dresser This is an Eastlake style antique dresser. We believe it is composed of walnut with a medium-tone finish. It has been finished with a lovely marble surface and a large mirror top. The mirror has a beautiful and ornate carved design. Three large drawers sit below the marble surface. The drawers have dovetailed construction. All of the drawers are 33" wide and 14" deep. The top drawers is 6 1/8" tall. The middle is 7" tall and the bottom is 8 1/2" tall. The entire set-up measures 86" in height. It is 41 3/4" at the widest point. And 17 3/4" deep. It weighs approximately 177 pounds. The exposed marble surface measures 40 7/8" by 13 3/4" This is in great. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. There are no visible cracks or repairs. There are ... morea few chips along the dresser edge. It appears as though there was originally a crown as well as a pair of candle holder arms. These pieces are no longer included. The mirror may be a replacement, since it is not beveled, but it is still a lovely match. There is a slight separation in the joint at the top of the mirror arch. I see a few very faint paint splatters on the dresser. There are minor imperfections, such as scratches or spots of wear, which I believe should be expected on a piece of this age. Beautifully made. Eastlake styled, oak medicine cabinet.Comes with hardware to hang on a wall. But you could use this piece anywhere, it's size makes it very versatile. Original finish, or lack of one) as there seems to be no varnish on this piece. It is nicely worn in all the right places, and still solid as a rock for many more years of service. All of the nice little details are accounted for, brass drawer pulls, spindles and shelves, cornice top carved detail, and a nice beveled mirror in the center door, with brass hinges. Up for auction I have a matching set of four 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Antique Eastlake door hinges. These have been cleaned and lubricated. The pins are fully removable and function perfectly( last photo shows them disassembled) These have a stamped patent date of:Feb. 11th. 1890. We believe it is composed of walnut with a medium-tone finish. Included in this set are a headboard. Footboard, side rails and slats. There is a lace dust ruffle stapled to the back of the footboard. This could be removed easily if the buyer so chooses. This set was made to hold a full extra-long size mattress. It is 56 7/8" wide. The highest point on the headboard is 83 1/4" The footboard is 31" in height. The bottom of the mattress would sit approximately 10" off of the ground(when placed on top of the slats) This is in great. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. It appears as though the side rails were replaced at some point, ... morebecause they are held together with phillips head screws. The rails do, however, match rather perfectly. The top crown of the headboard was cracked and repaired by the previous owner. I also see a crack in the middle of the headboard, which I have shown in pictures. The presence of the cracks does not make the headboard any less structurally sound. The head and footboard posts each appear to be missing finials. I also noticed a water stain on the corner of the footboard, which I have also shown in pictures. Antique Sanford Eastlake Walnut Kitchen Mantle Shelf Clock
A nice walnut Eastlake clock by GW& AC Sanford. I see 3 different patent dates. 1879, 1881, and 1882. I used this clock for about 10 years and after a recent move I no longer have room for it. The clock may need some adjustment to the way the pendulum hangs as it has to be sitting unlevel for it to continue running. Nothing wrong with the mechanism, you can hear it at times ticking away when the clock is lying on its back. Strike has a nice smooth tone and has a heavy striking coil unlike some of the cheap wire ones. Minor wrinkling of face material, minor paint loss to front door. The pendulum has some tape on it as the brass parts have come loose and will need re-soldering. Door latch missing. Key included is not original. Approx 19 3/4" tall. Ask questions, no returns. Pair Eastlake Victorian Deep Well Picture Frames George Washington
Fine matching pair of original antique Victorian picture frames. From the period known as Eastlake style. Each frame has 4 sections not like most typical antique frames with only 3 sections. These have 2 bands of gold gilt trim. They do show age. Each one has it's original old wavy glass and wood backs. They hold George& Martha Washington and each one is matted in black which really sets off this pair. There is no stamp mark on them from a publishing house. Hard to find a set like these. USS Charleston 1890's Eastlake Front Desk
Here is a real piece of history. Off the USS Charleston an American Naval Battleship. If this piece could talk, what story's it could tell. There is only one other desk that is known to exist so far and the workmanship is no comparison to this one. A lot of beautiful brass work with good patina. On the back of this desk is stamped: Wardroom St. Room No. 6, Wt. 272 Lbs. USS Charleston. The desk is 49" tall, 38" across, and 22" deep. The desk seems to be the right age for the Charleston and most likely it was purchased from a sale of items scraped out during 1930. That year she was sold and stripped to the water line to be used as a breakwater ship at Powell River, British Columbia Canada. 1870's VICTORIAN EASTLAKE BURURLED WALNUT ANTIQUE MIRROR ?? DIAMOND DUST?? M33
There was a worn piece of wrapping paper around this little mirror. And just one piece of it was saved. The last photo shows that paper! It has"1 Augest Thonsen 1878" That's what it looks like to me, but maybe I'm not seeing it correctly! The overall size of this old mirror is 8" x 14 1/2" tall. The actual mirror size is 5 1/2" x 9 3/4" tall. An expert said it is diamond dust, but I can't guarantee that. The best way to tell if it really is diamond dust is when it's damaged. This one is in encased in wood with screws and has been in a dry climate(Denver) for over 136 years, so there's no damage! The"burled" walnut is a veneer, and that's easy to see when you look at the back of it! It's a solid frame around this little mirror& it came from an old Denver mansion in 1977. ... moreI purchased many great authentic old items out of that home, but have sold most of them.
