2 Gal. Western Stoneware Stylized Leaf & Flowers Crock
For your consideration is a two gallon crock made by Western Stoneware Co. of Monmouth. Illinois. This crock has a stylized Maple leaf on the front and on the back are flowering plants. This design was only made for a short period of time in the middle and late 1930s. Both the leaf and the flowering plants are very distinct and were made with a relatively new stamp. This crock is approximately 9 1/2" tall and the bottom is approximately 8 3/4" in diameter. This crock has 0 chips, however it does have several cracks and hairlines. Vintage crock and lid. The lid is held in place with a wire bale. The color is tan with a brown seal on the front. Old Antique Redwing 5 Gallon Stoneware Crock Jug Butter Churn Red Wing
We have this old Redwing butter churn crock to offer in good as found condition. It is marked with the wing and Union Stoneware logo. It has wire handles. No lid and a nice 4" wing. The crock has a flaw on the bottom that looks like it was made this way. Just a hole, small. not a chip. There is a 1" crack that is on the bottom rim that is also a firing crack. Only shallow and not seen inside. This is a good Redwing Churn and is a hard to find piece. It is in good clean condition and is 16 1/2" tall. ANTIQUE ROYCROFT ART POTTERY LITTLE BROWN JUG ARTS CRAFTS OVOID STONEWARE CROCK!
I am selling my highly collectible ANTIQUE early's ROYCROFT SHOPS ARTS& CRAFTS ART POTTERY" LITTLE BROWN JUG" As I need to downsize some of my pottery collections. This darling"Little Brown Jug" stands 5" tall X 4" at the widest point of the jug body. The spout sits 7/8" above the body and the handle is large enough to put a fat finger through. The handle sits 1 1/4" out to the side. This little jug is heavy art pottery stoneware in the traditional Arts& Crafts manner with the typical satin matte glaze. The glaze is a rich coffee brown and there are several decorative"rings" under the glaze at the widest point in the body(see photos) This was made by the Roycroft Shops out of Aurora NY in the early 1900's. The jug is marked on the unglazed underside with the Roycroft" ... moreR" in a circle below the stylized cross. The impression of the stamp is not deep. But legible. The jug is in very good antique condition, it is almost 100 years old! There are no cracks, chips or repairs however the rich brown glaze does have a few little"glaze pops" here and there in the glaze only, not the clay. There are three small glaze pops that are the size of a large pin head and another a bit larger, about 1/8" in diameter. Most of these are in one area so the jug will display nicely. They are old glaze pops that are often found on art pottery, as this is the nature of the glaze. This is not considered damage as these"pops" usually occurred during firing and manufacture. The glazes are never smooth and there are usually little lumps and bumps under the glaze. These pops are tiny and well documented in my pictures. Roycroft shops art pottery is highly collectible and this is a nice size. This would look perfect with your other primitives. Mission setting or for display with dried straw flowers. Vintage Stoneware Crock Bottle by J. Macintyre, Liverpool
This is a USED vintage Stoneware Crock Bottle made by J. Macintyre. Liverpool. I can not see the number but, it matches other bottles on the net as a#5. BUT I CAN NOT SEE IT! It is 8 3/4 inches tall and 3 inches across the bottom. Note the chip in the very end of the neck. It has the marking on the bottom of the bottle that says it is from J. Macintyre. It is thick and heavy too. I am not a collector so that is all I know about it.

Antique 9-1/4" White Glazed Crock/Tureen Lid w/Design
Antique 9-1/4" White Glazed Crock/Tureen Lid w/Design 9-1/4" white glazed cover or lid with knob and concentric ring. The inner ones with scalloped edges. Underside has an inner ring that measures 6-7/8" in diameter. Nice simple design. This is not bright white, but an aged white that has gray undertones to me. There are the usual slubs and imperfections from the glazing process, a couple of small darker areas. Nice condition overall. This is probably a bit small to be a crock lid and too fancy a top. I would sooner think that it's a soup tureen lid or something similar. This will ship in a Medium Flat Rate Priority Box. The embossed writing on the bottom, says: MINNESOTA STONEWARE CO. RED WING; I have bought, sold, traded and collected stoneware since 1973 and have literally owned hundreds of pieces that were bottom marked MINNESOTA STONEWARE; as for the mark being distinct and readable, this butter crock has to be in the top five of embossed MINNESOTA STONEWARE marks. This company existed in Red Wing, Minnesota from 1883-1906. The glaze indicates this butter crock was manufactured between 1895 and 1906. This butter crock has a tie ring, which means it has an indented ring close to the rim in which a string can be placed to hold a cloth or paper that is stretched over the top. It is a light bluish gray with cobalt blue stripes. The bottom is marked Robinson Ransbottom Roseville OHIO USA#308. About 5" tall, 8 1/4" across. Excellent. A flaw on the bottom edge that is a slight gap in the clay. In photo#3 you can see it at about 1 o'clock. You can also see it at about 5 o'clock on the bottom of the crock in the last photo. Bosworth with no other partnering companies. Making this crock dating to the early 1870's. This rare crock is in excellent condition for its age, the handles are still firmly applied and it has absolutely no major cracks or chips. There is a rough spot on the bottom inside in the glaze and otherwise. There are no cracks or chips. I have included a full group of pics showing all sides top& bottom. The bottom mark is the R.R.P Co. Roseville. O. U.S.A. in an oval stamp. A bit of history for those interested: R.R.P. Co. Rosville. Ohio U.S.A the beginning: Frank Ransbottom. A successful jobber of stoneware and pottery, decided to started his own company(with his brother) in 1900 to distribute pottery products made locally Ohio. The brothers had been exposed to making pottery by their father, Alfred, who operated the Bluebird Potteries in Ohio. The container was produced for the Calvert Co. and features it's well-known"compass" logo to the center of the lid and it's swirl and floral border surround. The base section is both a good fit and a good color ma tch. The jar measures 2 3/8" in diameter and stands almost 1 1/4" tall when the lid is in place on the base. All round. It has a couple of pretty good cracks in it so you won't be able to make your favorite sauerkraut recipe with it but it will make an incredible display and addition to your collection. This is an older stoneware jug it has been painted over in a folk art style and signed Jean Denny From a South East Pennsylvania Estate I see no major damage to the crock. At least nothing obvious stands about 101/2" tall- I have spent a lifetime of picking and collecting. But alas its time to start selling.
