Bradley and Hubbard Mfg. Co., 1800's fireplace tools
Antique set of fireplace tools with little use from the late 1800's. Made by Bradley& Hubbard out of Meriden Connecticut. The Smithsonian Institute has a similar set. But this one is older. It is in excellent condition for its age, shows very little if any use. See pictures. It is a four piece set- stand. Tongs, brush, and shovel. The mark on the bottom is B& H 4901. Stand is 30 1/2 inches tall. Tools are 27 1/2" Note: A question was asked if the brush is original to the set. And it is. It is smaller and shorter 20 1/2 inches, but the same configuration. There is a small slot on the backside for it. It appears to be horse hair and is missing a few tufts.

Antique Bradley & Hubbard Double Handled, Double Wick DUPLEX Brass Oil Lamp
Picked up this antique Bradley& Hubbard double wicked brass oil lamp about a year ago. It had a tall glass chimney at one time.long gone. Each wick sits inside a thin metal case that's hinged. And the hooked latch under the burner opens and closes the top edges of the metal casing.I've tried to show it in the pictures. Both thumb wheels are marked B&H DUPLEX. The handles are curled and curled again to sit on the shoulders of the lamp-one handle has been pushed inward just the tiniest bit, giving it a slightly different shape from the other. Each handle has a twisted rope pattern on the stripping along the edges.gives it a little fancy dancy look. The same decorative edging is around the waist of the font. The font obviously sat in something which prevented it from developing the great patina visible on the rest of the lamp, ... moreas its bottom is bright and shiny, with almost no visible wear. Measures 7" to the top of the burner and 10" from handle to handle. The bottom"foot" is 5.5" across in case you're looking to put it in a holder, but it sits perfectly level without one. Offered as is as found is an old Bradley and Hubbard slag glass lamp base with frogskin finish and double hubbel sockets with acorn pulls. The patina is in very nice shape with very little wear for age. The socket arms have some brass showing through easily touched up if you felt the need. But would be concealed with a shade. It has been rewired at base at some point. Overall an extremely rare example. This would look wonderful with one of your prized shades on it. This cherub lamp is large& heavy. It stands almost 30" high with the slag shade. It is an impressive looking piece. It was electrified years ago and even though the wiring is new the socket is an old"fat boy" solid brass fixture. Which is still in perfect working condition. The spelter portion of the font has some old repairs-see pics- but they are very minor and sound. The brass font(insert) is in great condition-still retains the old B&H fill cap& wick riser. Slag shade is old& has NO chips or cracks.

Circa 1910.The base is stamped"223" One of the few early pieces with one-socket upright mount, fitter ring holder. Original socket and pull-chain. Unusual Art Nouveau Banquet Parlor Lamp Painted Globe Bradley & Hubbard B&H 1898
This auction is for a Highly Unusally. Art Nouveau Banquet or Parlor Oil Lamp that has been electrified with a glass globe that has been hand painted with colorful flowers. I believe it was manufactured by Bradley& Hubbard. B&H. I say this because there is a Patent Date of June 7. 1898 on top of the wick riser. That corresponds to a B&H patent. I can't find any other B&H markings. The wiskwinder knob says Pat. Applied For. Either side of the lamp has a metal design of a bouquet of bundled flower buds. The lamp has two intricately stylized. Art nouveau shaped handles and claw feet. The lamp is all metal but I am not certain what type. A magnet doesn't stick to any portions of it. The lamp has a lovely copper or brass washed color. The colorations are different in certain spots and the lamp has a nice patina built up. ... moreI have tested the lamp and it works. There is a minor. Shallow dent on either side of the lamp as well as a scratch mark in a line beneath the bouquet(see l a st photo) Neither detracts from the overall appeal of this Great Find. The globe is in good shape. It has a metal ring at the top. Which is loose. The globe is nicely painted with Purple and Yellow and Green flowers and it gives off a soothing, soft glow. The lamp measures about 24 inches tall from the base to the top of the globe and is about 13 inches at its wides point. Including the handles. There is some signs of soldering were the electrical socket was inserted into the gas burner( pho to 11) You can't see it when the globe is on. Nice elaborate brass flowers and lattice decoration on the center and base is a metallic material- white metal maybe- again. It is very ornamental with leaf decoration. This lamp is about 28" tall-to the top of the burner is abt. 19" tall and the round globe shade is about 9" tall and 28" in circumference. No chimney included. Lamp is good condition for its age. A couple of very small dings in the fluid holder, the end of the wick raiser knob is missing and also the adjuster( knob. Up for your bidding pleasure is what I think is a signed Bradley& Hubbard desk lamp base. I don’t know much about Bradley& Hubbard. I’m a Pittsburgh guy, but the base has an applied tag marked B& H. Please view the last picture in the listing to see this tag. The pictures really show the true condition of this base. It has some dirt and is tarnished. Some like their lamps in this original condition but you could clean it and polish it. The base is 15" tall to the top of the Bryant sockets and is 6 ½” wide at the base. It is equipped with 2 Bryant pull chain sockets with bell tassels. The sockets alone are worth the price of the base. It has at some time been rewired with a period brown cloth cord and old plug. The plug is chipped but works. The only damage I could find is a small dent in the back of the column. The base ... moreis in overall good condition. Wear commensurate with age. BRADLEY HUBBARD LILY PAD AND LION PAW BASE - ART NOUVEAU PAINTED SHADE
BRADLEY HUBBARD ART NOUVEAU REVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP This auction is for a Bradley Hubbard lamp with reverse painted paneled shade. The base clearly shows the BH logo and has open metal work at the base around the lions feet and lily pads. The top final. Probably a pineapple, seems to match the metal at the top of the 3 lite cluster and is probably original to the base. This base stands about 22" tall, not including the finial. The 3 light cluster appears to have had atleast one socket replaced in the past and the lamp has been entirely rewired and fully functioning. The metal shows signs of wear and light surface rust in a few small areas, mostly around the toes of the paws and edges of the base. The shade is a ribbed bent panel glass with reverse painting. The framework supporting the panels is quite thick and sturdy and extremely ... moreunusual in shape. I did not find the BH mark on the shade. But neither did I remove any panels. If it exists, it is probably beneath the glass up around the vent cap. I strongly suspect that this is the original shade, although I found no reference to either the signed base or the shade in any catalogs or books. This shade rises about 5" high and has an 18" Wide outer diameter. All the panels are bent and reverse painted. The shade appears to be in very good structural condition but shows significant paint loss, mostly to the 3" wide glass skirt. Fortunately, the most significant loss is regulated on adjacent panels with 1/2 showing some loss and the other 1/2 showing significant loss. So, it'looks' better against a wall then in the'round' The shade is almost'true' showing acceptable variances and none of the glass is cracked. The lamp is suitable for use as is and has great'character' It is also a candidate for restoration and there is enough of the painted art nouveau. Wm. Morris type design remaining to restore the shade to original appearance. This shade will ship double boxed and oversized as it requires special considerations

The set itself weighs about 13# Bradley& Hubbard started in the 1800's and have made quality pieces during their existance. Has brass handles on each tool and stand. Set includes the stand, shovel, grabber, poker, and brush. Black paint has worn off on several tools due to age and wear. Love the older sets which were definately made better than the newer ones. Bradley and Hubbard Manufacturing Co. was a premier manufacturer of metal accessories from about 1852-1940's. These metal accessories for both the home and business. Included such items a clocks, lamps, door stops, bookends/consoles, statutes to name only a very few. These B&H items on the market today are highly collectible and are generally good investments. This cast iron plant stand is in the original found condition. A very high percentage of the original gold gilt paint is still present. Presenting a pair of VINTAGE ornate Victorian beveled wall mirrors with BACCHUS HEAD on top(known in Greek and Roman mythology as the god of wine) And an unexpected beautiful blue faceted stone mounted on the bottom of each. On the back side of the stones(see photo) you'll see a"hole" to let the light show off the color! These mirrors are surrounded by ornate, swirled filagreed cast iron with a brass/bronze finish. I could not find a maker's mark, but, based on other similar mirrors that DO have the Bradley& Hubbard name, I believe these are also B& H. The dolphins are facing each other and have a dove-tail joint cast into the back for attaching the fire dogs/support legs. Each piece measures 13.5" tall x 7.5" wide x 2" deep and weighs approximately 6 pounds. Up for auction is this nice old antique Bradley& Hubbard Mfg. Co. 9307 in amazing shape concidering age. It is approximately 23 1/2" high and 15 1/2" across bottom from foot to foot. The only damage I can see is a small piece broke off the bottom(see pics) 1 1/4" X 3/4" triangle shape. Inside has a tank that has J. J. Jacobsen Company Denmark by Appointment To The Royal Danishcourt. It also has B&H on the tank itself and 2 dates April 7. 1881 and Feb. 28, 1893 or could be 1883? Please email with questions. Beautiful 19th century Bradley& Hubbard electric lamp. The"globe" features a beautiful hand painted floral design. It looks like it came right out of Gone With the Wind! The lampshade is not original(please let me know if you would like it included or not) The lamp looks great but is not in completely perfect condition. The sides of the globe show a bit of wear. Fortunately there is little to no wear on the painted floral designs located on the front and back! Also. There is a stress crack on the base, likely related to it's age. It has three arms(each cast in one piece) attached to a central hub by means of a patent ed dovetail arrangement. The top of the arms are secur ed by a decorative finial which screws into a flange. The cast iron font holder matches the font holder on the chandelier. I t has what looks like the original metal finish. No restoration. No cracks or dents. I would say it is in pristine condition. Antique Bradley & Hubbard Bronze Lamp and Smoker's Stand Art Nouveau Era
This Bronze stand has two Bradley& Hubbard Makers' Marks on the bottom of the base and on the bottom of the removable threaded ashtray. The piece has an overall height of 28 inches and is 12 inches wide at its widest part. It is made from what appears to be very heavy solid bronze with the original chocolate patina intact. Truly a collector's piece! Please note that the threading which the ashtray screws into is slightly bent and may need to be replaced which is a simple fix. Some of the parts you see in the pics may not be original. The drive gear mechanism. The pot metal or possibly pewter ornate body, pull down bar and the old burner assembly are all original. What you see in the pics is what you will receive. The drive gear assembly were frozen up at one time so I soaked it in oil to free it all up. It now works perfectly. There are still some parts to the body of the lamp that are missing. The lamp is for parts or maybe a rebuild project. This is a great start for someone that has the time to rebuild it. The lamp is adjustable and measures 25” 29” high. It can also be lowered more by using a smaller lamp shade. The lamp shade is stained and I am not sure if it is the original or not. This is a 1884 Rare Kerosene Stove. Heater, Lamp Combo that is over 120 years old. This neat piece stands 39 inches tall and 15 inches at the base. The lamp comes out and can be placed on the table. The lamp is marked New Rochester, October 1889 and August 30 1892. The stove has a beautiful ornate brass top that comes off very easily to reveal a plate burner that has a hinged circular cover that swivels out to allow a coffee pot or pan to be heated directly over the open hole. The brass top has a few dings on it but the brass top can be rotated in either direction so the dings are on the back side. The stove is dated June 12. 1884 and May 30, 1893. Flying Ducks, Geese, or Swans Bronze Book Ends, Bradley & Hubbard?, Hubley?
This auction is for a pair of heavy metal. I think bronze but could be iron, vintage book ends. Together they weigh over 5 pounds. There are flying ducks or geese or swans over the moon with the ground below. On the back they are lined and both have the number 9688 at the bottom. I don't know which foundry made them. It could be Bradley and Hubbard or one of the others. They are lovely with an excellent patina. If you take the buy-it-now, I will ship them for free within the U.S.
