It is decorated with bunches of grapes. Grape leaves, and grape vines in high relief. They are all hand carved and the whole background is decorated with heavy pointillism. The try has two ornate brass or bronze handles which are a little loose. There is a small fissure on the right side of the tray where one of the screws of the handles has been inserted into the wood. Otherwise, good condition with a rich patina. The oak is stained a walnut colored brown. This is a beautiful item and would be idea in a wine cellar to bring out wine and cheese. Even though it is carved in this relief, it still holds wine glasses ... morevery flat. This is certainly a master carvery handiwork and would be a wonderful addition. French English German Black Forest Style Carved Wood Wall Plaque. This is a very nice piece. It looks like it was carved from an old door or cupboard door. It depicts a woman holding a dove in her hand with a child at her feet reaching up. Size is approximately 34.5" x 22" x.75" inches. Please note the wood splits to the edges of the piece. There is a water line on the base of the picture. The scratches on the surface shown in the pictures are no longer present as I used some wood oil on the plaque and it cleared the blemishes. This is a quite superb decorative wooden box of which: During our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the art nouveau period of the 19th century and is of black forest o rigin. Superb& decorative art nouveau carvings to the top with the centrepiece of the lilies. Carved in relief. Other decorative carvings to the lid and to the sides. Internally has carvings under the lid. Has an overall height of about 3.75inches. Max size of about 8.25 x 5.25inches. Condition: considering the age. Vintage Regula 25 Two Door Black Forest Musical Cuckoo Clock 3 Pine Cone Weights
This is for an original. Vintage, Regula 25, two door Black Forest, musical cuckoo clock made in Germany between 1946 and 1966, with 3 pine cone weights. This is the best I can do on the date because Regula was not even trademarked until 1966 and there are no marking on the clock to date it with and I am not a clock guy. This clock came out of a climate controlled storage unit in Texas where it had been stored for over 37 years along with several pre war items that were rapped with dated newspaper from the mid 1970's. The items that were stored in the unit were owned by a Captain in the military at the time stationed overseas so this may have came from the area when he was there in the 40's- 50's. Look at the pictures and see for yourself on condition. Both bellows need replaced. I don't know if the music box works because ... morelike I said I am not a clock guy and this unit needs to be cleaned and serviced. I don't want to take a chance on something breaking. The clock has beautiful detailed carv ed ma p le leaves, two blu e birds. One with glass eyes on the crown and one bel low the clock. T he face dial has roman numbers. Marked Germany. T he nice"Auf Weidersehen" Good Bye" Swiss music plays every hour with little man coming out. T he little celluloid/plastic c uckoo bird in blue and white come out and co coo every hour and half an hour. The back door is also marked Germany. The Cuckoo clock is in good working condition in spite some tape on one of the bellows top as you see on the pictures. N ormal with age, the paper on the bellows al ways tend to break before any thing else but they are working perfect($6 a pair on eBay) Also I notice that the secondh and was repaired from the tip($3 for six pairs en eBay) some paint loss as you see from the pictures. No cracks or damage. The clock size is 1 2" high. 9 1/4" wide and 5"deep large size, Keep in mind that you are bidding on very old clock. This amazing clock was created in the Black Forest region of West Germany almost 30 years ago. It was designed to resemble a chalet in the Alps complete with beautiful hand-painted flowers. Edelweiss, and bright colors! The case is made of cured Linden wood, the tree native to Germany that is well known for its prized acoustic properties. The movement was designed and signed by Emil Schmechenbecher, a master clock maker from the Black forest region who is renowned for his creativity. This beautiful clock is a design wonder with all its features. At the bottom of each hour, a brightly colored bird opens a window and emerges to sing a single cuckoo, then on each hour, the bird emerges once again and ... morecuckoo's the correct number of times for the hour. Vintage Black Forest Hunter Cuckoo Clock German Stag/Rabbit/Quail/Guns regula
Here is an old circa 1950's Cuckoo Clock. The movement is Regula but I do not see a maker of the clock itself. It measures about 15" tall for the main body + the length of the weights. Parts that are loose from the clock but can easily glued or re-nailed to the lock include: the horn of the bell. The rabbit, the quail(one of the wings has cracked off and needs glueing too) the left roof piece(has a 2" crack on the edge of the roof) and the stag only has one side of its rack left, the other is missing and there was quite a bit of glue residue on the stags head from the rack being repaired. The hour hand on the clock is included but is in 3 parts and we recommend a new hand. Sounds bad overall but with a little TLC this will be a $350 clock easily. This Vintage Black Forest is old. From Germany by Juba, and is in excellent working condition. The clock(unlike other listings) is 100% complete and comes with its original vintage key and vintage pendulum. This clock is in excellent condition and is working well. In fact, this clock has a soft, regular tick. I have oiled the pivots with a 100% synthetic clock oil. It is 5" long by 5" high and is mostly wood. The scenery is vintage and has incredible details. There is a bird on the fence with dried plant materials as foilage. A red capped mushroom is among real pebbles. To the right there is a wooden trough and pump in front of a painted wooden pine tree amongst colorful landscaping and stones. Wooden flower boxes plus tin foil paned glass in the windows. This Vintage Black Forest Animated Water Wheel Clock is old and from West Germany. The clock(unlike other listings) is 100% complete and comes with its original vintage key and vintage brass pendulum. In fact. This pendulum has a crest stamped on it and is of a seldom seen variety for these clocks. The dial is stamped GERMANY on the clean clock face. This clock is in excellent condition and is working well. In fact, this clock has a soft, regular tick and the water wheel rotates in time to the pendulum. The brass clockworks are marked HAUSER West Germany. I have oiled the pivots with a 100% synthetic clock oil. The wooden body of the clock is 6" by 6" not including the length of the chains and pendulum. As in the modern chalet clocks this has all the traditional decorations: painted heart on the peak. Colorful folk art illustrations ... morethroughout, including a wooden balcony, a red-capped mushroom to the left, a young fawn to the right and colorful landscaping throughout. This Vintage Black Forest"Bouncing Betty" Clock is a great find as it is 100% complete and in its original excellent box. The clock was made in West Germany by an unknown maker. The clock case measures 5 1/2" wide by 6" tall. Not including the chains and pendulum. The back panel is a brass tone tin. It includes both vintage key and older"bouncing Betty" pendulum(often missing with these clocks) In fact, the bouncing Betty is made of china or porcelain, not the usual plastic. She has some paint loss and is missing her hat. Maybe a small doll's hat could be attached? Betty bounces up and down in time to the ticking. Unusual Black Forest Dancing Figures Musical Chalet Cuckoo Clock WORKS This unusual musical Chalet cuckoo clock that has the dancing figures moving in the front of the clock. The figures on the front stand almost 3” tall. And turn side to side. Three of them have some repairs to them which are hardly noticeable. This clock has one of the most robust musical sounding movements I have ever heard. It plays two tunes, and does so on the half and the hour. The label for the tunes is partial removed, so I don’t know what they are. The comb for the musical movement has at least 40 notes, and as I said before, a very nice and full sound. The name under the little doors on the front of the clock has the name“Kuner” which is Gebrunder Kuner and stamped on the movement Gebr Kuner. Along with“Made in West Germany” and also“D.R.P. The clock works fine ... moreand keeps good time and is a 30 hour movement. The bellows look to be covered in the original leather, and are in good condition. Under the musical movement it is hand written“9/67” I assume this is when it was made. The clock measures 13” tall, 10” wide and is 7 ½” deep. Unless otherwise stated. These clocks and/or watches are in running condition. They have NOT been rebuilt, and the movements may not be in pristine condition. When we purchase these clocks at estate auctions, we like to run them for a few weeks in order to make a fair judgment of their condition, but they are sold“as is” Many times the only thing that prevents a clock from running is how it’s sitting, whether it’s level or plumb. I have sold many clocks on E-bay. And shipping is always a concern of mine. I try to pack them as well as I can, I wrap the clock in many layers of bubble wrap, of course I wrap the pendulum and winding key separate, and secure the pendulum spring from moving during the shipping process. I then place the clock in a bed of packing peanuts and fill the area around the clock with more peanuts. As annoying as these packing peanuts are when unpacking items, they do work very wel

1940s vintage Edwin Lauffer Oak Case mantel clock. 14 day movement with two tone hour chime. Made in the Black Forest of Schwenningen, Germany. Case is constructed of several different types of oak, both quartersawn and straight grain, solids and veneers, with double OGEE curves on the top and front face. West Germany Linden ALARM CLOCK Black Forest Wind Up LILAC PURPLE PLASTIC - CUTE
Very cute VINTAGE Wind-Up Alarm clock from LINDEN Black Forest. West Germany. It has an OVAL face with White Lettering and is made of bright PURPLE LILAC PLASTIC with Brass accents. It's so cute but it needs an ALARM CLOCK DOCTOR! I think it might be over-wound and it does not tick for very long. only about 5-10 ticks and then it stops. It is bright and colorful and absolutely charming. The clock winds"in reverse" of what we call normal. Looks like it might be missing a small knob on the back- the one to set the time and there is a tiny little crack at the"4" on the plastic cover of the clock. Still- overall, just a CUTE, CUTE clock! Black Forest 8 Day Hunter Cuckoo Clock - non operating
This is a unique used Black Forest Hunter style cuckoo clock in good condition( bellows are intact) but is non working due to chains being pulled into clock works. I am not familiar as to tecnique used to reset chains and get mechanism working. The mechanism is stamped with 25-29 and made in West Germany. The face of the case includes a rabbet and bird figures and a stags head on the top. It measures 16 inches tall( not including weights and pendulum) by 11.75 wide and 5.5 inches wide. There is only 1 chain weight with this offer. This is offered as is.

Today. I have for auction, a vintage 8 Day, Cuckoo Clock, made in West Germany. It is a Hunter Clock, that comes with two weights, and pendulum. I am offering it for repair since it does not keep time. It does cuckoo on the hour and half hour. There is a small piece of wood missing where the guns and antler attaches. The only other damage is that the top piece is missing one of the brackets to hold it to the edge of the clock. The movement is marked Regula, and E. Schmeckenbecher. Stunning 19th century Black Forest Cuckoo Clock requires minor repair/servicing
A very rare opportunity to purchase a magnificent 19th century Black Forest Cuckoo bracket clock which requires minor repair to the clock movement and a good service. The clock has been created in a superb Gothic style and has some exquisite detailing as can be seen from the photographs. The top has a lovely shaped freeze with fleur de lys heads. The dial is set out with applied Roman Numerals and has lovely possibly carved bone fingers. Above the dial is the little door through which the cuckoo appears. The bird itself is intricately sprung so that its beak opens and wings flap. The dial is then flanked by lovely carved detailing. The clock is raised on a nicely shaped plinth base. The case is in lovely condition. And has a lovely rich patina. It is very difficult to convey through photographs the level of fantastic artisanship which has ... moregone into this clock. But as you will note from the photographs there are fine carvings to the base and around the dial which set the clock off wonderfully. There are doors to either side of the clock through which the movement can be view. The movement is accessed via a door to the rear which is removed when access is required. In addition this clock comes complete its original pendulum. The clock dimensions are: 32cm wide(at base) 50cm high- 16cm depth The clock case has had woodworm mainly in the pine board at the back. But the whole clock has been professionally treated for woodworm. There are two missing pieces of the carved detail shown in the photographs(easily replaced if you want to) The case is in good condition with a few tiny knocks and dents as you would expect with a clock of this age. The clock movement requires some repair, some of the wires connecting the cuckoo to the movement and door have come away, I think one of these wires is taped to the back door but the tip is broken off(but still retained) The bellows may need sealing, although they do still make the cuckoo noise when moved. Rare Black Forest 3 Horn Trumpeter not Cuckoo Clock
Rare Black Forest 3 Horn Trumpeter Clock This rare clock was made in the Black Forest in Germany and dates from the late 1800s– although the movement is unmarked. A model with an identical style was listened in a Gordian Hettich catalogue of the time. I believe the architectural style case to be oak veneered and is in very good condition for its age– it has a lovely golden brown patina. The only fault is a small piece of carving missing on the right hand side. Just above the dial. I purchased the clock in Germany 3 years ago. Prior to which it had just been fully overhauled by an expert in the Black Forest. The clock has its original movement. Horns and bellows and is in full working order; the movement was serviced and adjusted immediately prior to me purchasing the clock. The carved trumpeter figure emerges and trumpets the hours and half ... morehours. Three notes are played for each hour and are accompanied by strikes on a coiled gong; for example at three o’clock 9 notes will be played. Along with 3 strikes on the gong. The backboard and gong are both original and have repair/ servicing dates which chart the history of the clock. The pendulum is a replacement carved from wood; it does the job. But could be replaced if desired. This is a rare clock and would make a great addition to any collection– I am selling it only reluctantly. As I need to downsize my collection. I would prefer this clock to be collected in person. But I will post and take great care with packaging. Magnificent Black Forest Cuckoo Hunting Clock C1880
This is a magnificent clock which measures 3'0" from the top of the antlers to the bottom of the snipe pendulum. Its a three train clock which has musical box and cuckoo. The clock ticks away but the musical box and cuckoo are not working. Its to do with the wires needing to be reset. The musical box works when you put pressure on the chain but the cuckoo wire looks as though the hook part of the wire has snapped. There is absolutely nothing major wrong with this clock and some minor adjustments will perfect it. Very impressive clock from the black forest region

Bidding on a handcarved. Working, 8 day cuckoo clock that was created in the Black Forest of Triberg, Germany" about 60 years ago and signed on the movement and wooden door in front"Schatz 8 day" The clock is complete and shows little wear and comes with its original shipping crate. This clock is hand carved from thick. Cured and aged Linden wood which has been the choice of Black Forest carvers since the early 1870's. There is a large deer head at the very top complete with antlers. I don't know if the deers ears are both original as they are not identical. The detail is extraordinary! The wooden dial features raised white Roman numerals to mark the hours and fancy matching hands to point out the time. The name"Schatz" and the phrase. 8 Day" appear on the small wooden door above the dial in their familiar ... morelogo signature in brass metal calligraphic script. The clock has a fitted wood back and latches securely. The door easily removes to allow access to the weight driven mechanical movement inside the case signed by Schatz. The original wooden crate has its original customs label and cardboard insert. The early clock has tiny white paint specs on one side of the clocks roof.

But I don't believe it is broken. Nothing looks bent or broke. When I found it the chain that works the music box and the other door was completely off. Antique/Vtg 1 Day Germany Musical Black Forest Haufbauhaus Animated Cuckoo Clock
Here is a very attractive older 1 day wooden hanging wall clock which chimes on the hour and half hour. It was one of Emil Schmeckenbecher's favorite designs and inspired by the famous Hofbrauhaus at the Marion Platz in Munich Germany. The Hofbrauhaus is the actual birthplace of the annual Oktoberfest in Germany and I believe it still hosts the event. At least in part. This is an uniquely-designed, full featured cuckoo clock that was produced in the Black Forest about 40 years ago in what was then, West Germany" It is a full featured clock, and one of the most unique ever produced. This clock is made from cured and aged Linden wood which is grown nearly exclusively at certain altitudes of the Black Forest. The case is made to look very much like the front of the old"Hofbrauhaus" in Munich Germany; it's still there though ... morethe beer drinking only goes on inside the establishment and only until 10:30 pm, a far cry from what it used to be! It is lavished with colorful window trim and. Flowers, and a heart shape near the very bottom. The left window is missing a sash and some trim. There is a carved wooden platform near the bottom complete with rail fences on each end. Colorful flower sprays, and a colorful Bavarian man on either side of the dial sitting atop a beer keg.of course. It has a banner featuring the Hofbrauhaus name and a Lowenbrau logo at the very top. There is a colorfully painted wooden scroll trim under the eaves and wooden timbers on the roof top, much like the real ones that were designed to hold the roof on during inclimate weather. There is a wooden door at the very back embossed with the words. West Germany" and held in place with two metal latches. The door easily removes to allow access to the all metal, weight driven, Regula" movement signed by Schmeckenbecher. A weight driven movement simply means that the chains need to be pulled occasionally to wind the clock, cuckoo, and music. The working condition of this clock is unknown(I would guess that the last time we had it on a wall and running was in 1997 or 1998) The winding chains appear to be off the gears inside the clock. I could not see any damage to the wood carvings on the clock- just needs a bit of clean up. Bird appears to have a red glass eye. There is some light surface rust to the spring on the back door(see photos) but overall. The condition is very good to excellent. The clock measure 24 inches tall and is 22 inches wide and almost 15 inches deep with an 8 inch dial and large bone hands. For Sale: 19th Century Black Forest Style Wall Clock in a hunting and fishing motif sculpted. Carved, by the Swiss company of Sesti and Brugger. The entire clock is hand carved solid walnut including the dial. I have overhauled the movement which is the original French 8 day time and strike, and cleaned and waxed the case. I am a professional clocksmith of merit with 42 years experience. The clock works strikes the hours and half hours on a silver bell correctly and is properly and professionally adjusted for years of trouble free service. I use a very high grade clock oil which remains active for many years so it will not need oiling for at least 5 years or more. The clock has been tested for 30 days and is ready for a new home. Description Hi. This gorgeous clock seems to be at least partially working. I gave it a push and the chimes started going. I made a youtube video and you can listen the sound. Please click the link: First the sounds was not so clear. Then something in the moviment make a sound of a click and the sound gets much better. The wooden shows worm holes, top and sides of the case are glass. This clock was manufactured by Gustav Becker. According to Wikipedia. This brand was manufactured between 1899 and 1930, so the clock likely dates from the early 1900's. His factory was in the Black Forest area of Germany(Silesia) The size is: 26" tall x 13 3/4" wide x 6 1/2" deep. The bottom does have a ornamental piece that is loose and needs to be glued. TRENKLE BLACK FOREST GERMANY NOVELTY GRANDFATHER CLOCK 10.5" TALL WORKS GREAT! Here for auction is a vintage novelty grandfather clock that is in fantastic working condition. The clock face is marked Trenkle and the movement is a Keller Hufingen of Germany. This should probably be considered a Black Forest Cuckoo Clock but I do not know that for certain. There is a finial missing and there may be a bottom door that is missing. It looks great even with the flaws. The clock will come with key and pendulum. This Has a German Brass Mechanical Triple Weight Driven Movement which is signed"25/75 Made in West Germany REGULA Albert Schwab Karlsruhe" This has a Hand Carved Walnut Wood Case, made in Black Forest Germany. It has a Swiss Musical Movement"Dr. Schiwago Made in Switzerland 244 A.P. Gueissaz-Jaccard, Ste. Croix" There is some wear from age and use, Overall Good Cosmetic Condition, as Pictured. This is currently Not Working. It will run for a few minutes and stop and will need attention to work correctly. One of the Bellows needs attention too.
