The figure appears to be made of spelter and the lamp is signed at the bottom rim of the lamp(see photo 10) I cannot read the makers mark. It looks almost like a desk lamp. The metal extension that holds the shade and bulb are made of another metal other than spelter. The shade is not original to the lamp. The owner of the shop told me that the lamp belonged to a young woman who inherited it from her Grandmother. Her husband would not sell the lamp with the old frayed electrical cord. So he rewired the lamp with new electrical. There is felt on the bottom that is partially"unglued" I have no idea what the husband did to rewire this lamp. Up for sale is an Antique Solid Brass Gas Wall Sconce features a rose design. Looks like a bouquet of roses. There are 2 tubes that lead to the large open roses, which thread onto the tubes. The front features a hole where a knob would be mounted to control the flames. There are a total of 2 gas burners, it could be used as candlestick holders or even be converted to make a really nice wall accent lamp. It is approximately 21"T x about 12 1/2"W, and total it stands approximately 4" from the wall, so I would say 4" deep. This is a really intricate and realistic casting, note the detail work on the closed buds and on the leaves. This is a very quality piece, and very solid and heavy, it weighs almost 6 lbs. These incredible shades are exceptionally ornate and feature gold gilded, neoclassical, French wreaths and trellis pattern. There are bright gold painted geometrical touches which are thickly applied. There are beads of very thick white paint that further adorn the glass. These have a fixing diameter of approximately three inches and could also be used to hold a shade. If so required. There are two of the hanging crystal tubes and drops missing on each light but this is not noticeable unless you do a close inspection. This is an absolutely original. Antique, French cameo glas, Art Nouveau"mushroom" table lamp, by famed Art Nouveau designer and manufacturer, Emile Gallé, c. 1900. In the so-called"cameo" process, the yellow glass has been overlaid with red glass, and acid etched to leave a design in relief, in various shades of pink and darker red, of branches of flower buds and leaves. The original bronze fitting has two light globes, one to illuminate the shade, and one for the base. The fitting is held in place on the base by 3 screws which attach under the flared lip of the base. Similarly, 3 screws hold the shade tightly in place as it rests on the arms. Scene in Action motion lamp This beautiful. Antique motion lamp is in incredible condition. The lamp delivers a scene of a couple in a gondola overlooking serene water. When the lamp is turned on there is moonlight cast over the lightly rippling water. This lamp is in complete working order. Make sure that you look over all of the photos so that you can see the condition of this. There are not many of these out there, and this one is in unusually good condition. This is dated 1931 by the Scene-In-Action Corp. It is pictured on the front cover of the 1998 edition of the Collector's Guide to Motion Lamps. Based on information from the book"Animated Motion Lamps" the original list price of this lamp was $6.95 and it is titled The Serenader. This lamp has had the same owner for the past 19 years. I have a small slip of paper with ... morea bit of its history that I will include to the winner. The front scene depicted on the heart shaped piece is in good overall condition. There are some spots of wear or mild staining that do not have much. If any, impact on the lamp. The lamp functions well electrically and the spinner works as it should. The second piece of glass that sits behind the decorated piece is also intact- these are often missing. This piece primarily only shows wear along the sides from sliding in and out of the lamp. The cylinder does have some repairs that were done with clear tape and there is some cracking. There is an on/off turn switch located on the back of the lamp. This has been rewired and the cord appears to be free of blemishes. In my opinion, this lamp shows minimal wear considering its age. This measures approximately 13" wide and 11" tall. For bid is a vintage art nouveau nude table lamp. She's made of a heavy plaster/stone type material. She measures 19 1/2 in. long from the tip of her toe to her knee and 15 1/2 in. tall to the top of her extended arm that is over her head. She is a heavy piece weighing 14 lbs.7 oz. without" packing. She's done in a flat white and the glass shade is also white. She has a standard size socket and works perfectly. There is an on-off thumb switch in the cord and the cord is a polarized cord. It's in good condition. No chips or cracks, ready to plug in. Make sure to scroll down for all pictures. The box will weigh about 20 lbs.12 oz. Amazing and very rare Art Nouveau WMF Lamp, never see before!
This a wonderful rare WMF B oil or petroleum lamp. It tried to finde some informations about it, but it looks like to be a very rare piece. Very typical WMF Art nouveau form, maiden holding the tank in his hand. It is marked with the old WMF MARKS, it was made end of the 19th and in very good used conditions.
