Antique Gas Copper Chandelier Light Gothic Steampunk ART NOUVEAU Medieval Lamp
Presented for your consideration is this large and impressive 1 light. Hanging light circa 1800's with original gas fixture mechanism. The details on this fixture are incredible and this was probably very expensive when new. I haven't been able to find a manufactures name, but many features suggest it was made by Archer Pancoast, one of the premiere lighting companies at the time. The original antique copper finish is in good condition with original patina. The fixture is 36" tall and 11" wide. This chandelier was gas powered and is still an untouched, unmolested gas powered light. It still features the gas valves, flint striker mechanism, as well as other devices that once powered this spectacular piece. It is in very nice original condition free of cracks and breaks. It features a shade holder type wire however no shade ... moreis included. A more original and impressive fixture will be hard to find. All the original brass electrical hardware is still intact including the original finial. The wood base is also nice with a small split starting from the hole for the wire. A nice example of a project piece dating from around the 20's. It is in overall good condition. It just needs four more panels, they alternate, so they could really be any color. There is one small area where the metal has begun to separate, this is not a major structural problem, and should be an easy fix. Most glass shops will make panes for these if you ask them nicely, or even something like colored rice paper/fiberglass could be used. Antique Vtg Table Lamp Base, Cast Metal, Slag Glass, Art Nouveau Tiffany Style
Here is one of those items that I have had stuck away for years! I think it would be absolutely beautiful cleaned up. But I’ve decided to sell it because I have finally given up on finding a tiffany style shade to put on it. Hopefully the new owner will be able to fix the shade up to its former beauty! Now for the important information: Overall Height: 21 ¾ inches from top to bottom. Height of base: 12 1/4 inches to the bottom of the harp. Length of harp: 9 ½ inches. Base: 8 inches at the widest part. 3 ½ inches diameter of the harp. The lamp is all metal and the harp does not come apart– at least for me and I did not try to force it. Stunning antique art nouveau bronze and brass table lamp early 1900s* This is a stunning bronze and brass antique art nouveau table lamp which stands 19 inches tall and is 7 inches wide at the base. The style and era is art nouveau. Early 1900s. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a fancy crystal bead pull on the end of the chain. The lamp features a twisted bronze column and a beautiful embossed brass shade ring with graduating shades of magenta bakelite beads in a chevron design decorating it. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the beads end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. The base of this lamp is quite different than most we see. It features 3 nude figures. 2 women and 1 man. The women are displayed most prominently at both the bottom an top. The lady at the bottom is hanging on to a sheet that is being stretched into the air and has a look of pain or lust on her face as she stares at the other 2. The lady at the top is pulling the sheet upward and opens it wide. The man is hanging on to her by the backs of her thighs. The open sheet creates a cradle for the beautiful leaded stained glass shade. The shade itself is made up of 207 individual pieces of glass with 3 red glass balls for the goldfishes eyes. This lamp just keeps giving and giving with it uniqueness and design. We were able to attribute this to the famous Gustav Gurschner(we are including a bit of info on him at the end) This carries through with all of his tones and mannerisms. French Art Nouveau Period Figural Lady Lamp With Nautilus Sea Shell Shade. Cast spelter figure with brass mounts. Lovely detailed figure of a nymph rising from the water. Her upraised arms support a nautilus shell that shades the lamp. The shade is framed with reed leaves and a decorative coil. Marked: This beautiful lamp is not marked. The quality speaks for itself and its French origin. CONDITION: No cracks or scaling. The original verdigris finish is largely intact. The only wear to the finish is on her left arm. The shell is luminous, iridescent and undamaged. The brown plastic covered wiring is probably forty years old and beginning to stiffen. The brass candelabra size socket should be replaced. Its threaded collar and cap have separated, the socket wobbles due to this. There is no switch, it's necessary to plug in and unplug the ... morelamp to turn it on and off. Large Early Electric Art Nouveau Urn Lamp w/ Fired On Obverse Painted Shade
This very early Art Nouveau Lamp(circa 1895-1910) Has a beautiful urn base with flowing arms and a ladies cameo in the center. This is a tall lamp, standing 27 1/2" with a 15" round shade. The shade is fired on stenciled and painted white glass with no chips or cracks. It sits on a shade ring held up by 4 lovely brass arms. It has a very early paddle key socket and has been re-wired with cloth covered cord. The polychrome finish on the spelter shows age, as well as the brass arms, and has a nice patina. It has a small dent in the back, but is in great condition for it`s age. It may have been used as a newel post lamp on a large stairway, as it has a 6" base, but it`s quite stable on a tabletop as the base is heavy. High quality antique Bronze Nude Figural Lamp in all its original glory! Locked away in storage for over ten years, we recently unpacked this treasure and are ready to find her a new home. She deserves to be displayed, admired and enjoyed. I hope that my photographs will adequately convey the fact that this is not just a lamp ~ it retains all the qualities of an museum quality sculpture ~ a beautiful study of the female form. The lamp still has some of its original gold cloth wiring which has been spliced together with vintage vinyl-type wiring. I recommend that the electrical be redone ~ it most definitely will need a socket and plug as those are absent. It has a green ... moreand black marble base complete with green felt. I do not have the two screws to attach the figure to the marble base. However, I believe your local hardware store can provide these. The lamp and the marble base together weigh almost 9 pounds and I believe that the figure is made of bronze. It did not attract our magnet. The original finish of the lamp has spotted over the decades with dirt and grime. However, when I run my figure over the surface it feels smooth. I have not cleaned the lamp at all. I see no cracks and there is no rust ~ there is one small dent on her left forearm, but it is very difficult to see. Approximate measurements of the figure[separate from the marble base] are 9.25 inches long. 10.5 inches high and 3.75 inches wide. The marble base[by iself] measures 10.25 inches long, 4.75 inches deep and 1 inch high. I posted measurements for the socket/shade part of the lamp on a photograph taken of that section. This is a gorgeous vintage 20s cast iron lamp. I was sure that this lamp was Pairpoint but I can't find a mark on it. The lamp is heavy cast iron with a bronze finish. It has great art nouveau style. It has painted green, red and yellow highlights on the base. The lamp measures 23" tall and the base is 8-1/2" wide. The lamp is in excellent working condition. It has been rewired and it has a new top cap. On close inspection it shows normal patina and there may be a few vintage scuffs but nothing outstanding.
