Walll lamp/sconce by Art Deco designer Albert Cheuret. 1884-1966. Lamp was made in France(stamp does not readily show up in photos. You are bidding on salvaged parts of this bronze lamp which is also missing hardware and an alabaster shade. Dimensions: Approx. 10-1/2 in. wide x 8 in. high and 6 in. deep. Original sockets remain as well as a remnant of original cloth-wrapped wiring. There are scratches to the surface as shown in the photos. These are not stock photos. They were taken by this seller in March, 2013. I found these parts amongst a lot of random lamp pieces approx. four years ago in a charity shop. Rare 1950-60 Art Deco Wall Sconce Lamp, Unique Glass Shade
Hello. This is a very old Mid Century wall or could be a ceiling light, Very rare glass shade design, 17 1/4 inches long, and 5 1/2 inches at the widest part. Nicely flared ends, with a unique pattern, Picture# 4 shows this. The gold triangles are little raised beads. I wired a extension cord to it to show it works, the switch on the base works fine, the wiring looks o.k. The glass shade is in wonderful condition, one end has a very little chip, hard to see. Art Deco Consolidated Amber Glass Lamp or Light Shade This amber glass shade was made by Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company of Coraopolis. Pennsylvania in the late 1920's or early 1930's. The shade is about 12 inches wide and 5 inches tall. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. There are some small cloudy spots in the finish in a few areas of the shade which are typical for a shade of this age. I could not get any of the spots to show up in my photos because they are so light. There are also a few paint dots on the glass. The size of a pin head. I have seen shades of this design with glass tabs on the inside of the shade which require a"fitter shade" which twists into the larger shade. Up for auction is an antique spelter art deco circus themed electric table lamp depicting an elephant. A clown and a cowboy on horseback. The elephant and the clown are on each side of a large drum. In the center of the drum is the cowboy on horseback. This lamp is in good working order. I believe the shade and cord are both original. The spelter is quite brittle. There is a piece of it broken off on the back where the cord comes out of the lamp. There is a black bakelite switch on the cord. Made from thick, pressed glass between in the early 1900's in France at the Verlys factory. DES HANOTS was a signature used by Verlys(VERrerie des andeLYS) for some of its highest quality Art Deco products destined for export. The factory was aslo favoured produced of colourless glass for Hettier& Vincent who specialised in the metal components of French Art Deco lighting. Most of this metal work was un-signed and I can find no markings on this hanging system. The quality of detail to the chain and ceiling rose is exceptional and quite possibly theirs. The diameter is 35 cms or nearly 14 inches. The bowl depth is 10 cms/ 4 inches and it weighs nearly 3 kilograms- ... more6.6 pounds. Circular with geometric berries. Flowers buds and leaves design, the thick glass has a light frosted texture. The glass is in great condition. There are some small charming bubbles common in method of glass production. There is a tiny fleabite or two to the rim and to the underside of the bowl. I have had to look very hard for these. They are hardly noticeable and I only mention them for accuracy. An example is shown in picture 11. Each of the 3 holes for the hanging points has some small chips around them. Which is totally standard for this kind of lampshade. Included in the sale is modern wiring suitable for 110v. 220v or 240v fitted with a European B22 lamp holder. This can easily be replaced or converted to another size depending on your needs. Complete and ready for fitting. The shade is made of opaque glass in what I can only describe in a swag pattern.In fact it looks like a tip of a candle. The shade is free of cracks. Chips or breaks. I believe that this item may originate from France. The complete unit is 8" high and approximately 5" wide. The Shade is mounted in the original brass collar with the original screw in place to hold the shade. The brass does have some age tarnishing. But no more than you would expect for an item of this age. The collar is in turn mounted on the original celling rose. Lovely French Faience Art Nouveau Deco Dalpayrat? Oxblood Lamp Ceramic Vase This vase is an antique lamp stamped“Made in France” It is a turn of the century art nouveau style. This lamp has the famous Oxblood red glaze that is a common among pieces by Dalpayrat and Pierrefonds. Known as sang de boeuf or flambé glaze by the French. It uses copper to produce the intense red color. It became fashionable in the late 19 th century in Europe as artists wished to emulate the beautiful porcelain of century’s old Chinese masterpieces. Oxblood glazes are produced when copper is reduced of its oxygen during the firing and re-oxidised in the cooling. Oxbloods can be translucent or opaque and vary from rich deep reds. There is also a little roughness around the base where the brass meets the ceramic. All of this is shown in the photo set. The entire lamp stamps 11” tall to the socket and the ceramic piece is 7” tall and 11” on circumference. The electric parts are old but the lamp does light. The brass pieces look to be over 100 years old as well and are in very good vintage condition. See auction prices for French pieces in oxblood. Note from an ebay member to me about this lamp when we exchanged information about the type of marks found on Dalpayrat: There were a couple. One for handmade pieces of merit and another for a production line sold through Bon Marche. This lamp is extremely rare, in fact I have only seen a few listed for sale before! This lamp has a base that would serve as a holder for MAKEUP& COSMETICS. The famous REVLON name is impressed in script at the base of the lamp. There are compartments to hold cosmetics& or makeup items. Above where the name REVLON is impressed there is a compartmentalized area that is revealed when the lid is lifted up. Under the lid there are 4 round compartments. The larger 2 have the original removeable white glass cups. This is a pretty cool design as the"latch" to open the lid up actually looks like a knob to turn the light on and off. This is a great Art Deco bubble glass table lamp that I suspect is Anchor Hocking but there are no markings on it. It is in excellent working condition. With a press button switch. It has an old fabric covered chord and some of the fabric has worn and could use some rewiring but it is not necessary. The shade is not original but does look nice with the piece. Use this shade, or use your own. The lamp features the unique art decor bubble class features that make it modern and a great accent to any room. Without the shade, the lamp measures 7 inches from the bottom of the lamp to the top of the electrical light socket. OLD RARE ART DECO TABLE LAMP REVERSE PAINTED GLASS & DRAGONS "ONE OF A KIND"
Stands 18" tall and is 8 1/2" round at base. Weighs 7 1/2 pounds. The green base and dragons are made of cast metal alloy and the rest is press steel. Has 3 different reverse painted glass inserts. Some paint loss to one. The glass is thick and ridgid on the outer side. I pluged it up and as you see. The underneath light works. The 4 upper pedistal lights do not. Needs rewired and or maybe a new switch. The last picture shows a pat# reading:DES.PAT.72538. I do beleive there should be a round metal plate on the bottom of the base and it is not here, assuming im correct) Ask needed questions to insure satisfaction. It is a ceiling mount fixture with 5 frosted slip shades. It is a beautiful fixture that is a cast metal with a copper finish. It measures roughly 16” tall and 16” wide. The glass shades measure 8 ¾” x 6 ½” The condition is very nice. There is some paint around the edges of top mount piece. There is a little wear to the post. The glass is in nice shape… no chips or cracks– there are rough edges and a little of the frost has wore in areas not seen upon display(except one tiny spot) We believe this is a Merkel fixture and it is numbered(starting with an“8” though we are uncertain of some digits(with a“T” above the numbers) The fixture has been rewired with new sockets… though the original ... moreceramic bases were saved.
