The ribbed edge does have dust in the creases.photo#5 there is old paint there as well. there is also a spot on one side where there was paint as well photo#3. there is either a scratch or crack on the inside of the shade photo 7-where there are 2 lines that are very very thin and do not go thru the glass they are just on the surface. otherwise for the age it is in great shape.measures 12/14 inches wide at base and 3 1/4 high. the center indents about under 1 inch. this item is quite heavy. it either goes ups or priority till ebay gets parcel post up and running. This Vintage Heavyweight Art Deco Era Glass Lamp with it's Pink Barrel Shade is soooooo tempting to keep for myself! I just LOVE everything about it! I am unsure if the Shade is"original" to the Lamp. But since it came with it, and obviously lived such a long life"with" the Lamp, I am offering the two together, as they came to me. Measuring in at 20" high from base of lamp to top of shade, as you can see the shade is a"clip ... moreon" style shade. The actual Lamp measures 14 1/4" high from base to bulb socket, and the base measures 5 3/4" across. The Shade itself measures 8 1/4" high, measures 6 1/4" across the top and 7" across the bottom. Both pieces come to you in fantastic condition. I found no chips or cracks on the lamp. It does work. And requires a standard sized lightbulb(mine not included) but"does" flicker now and then. It's always a good idea to have the wiring on these old lamps thoroughly check or simply rewired for safety's sake. As you can see it"does" come with it's original wiring/plug. The Shade is also in fantastic condition, with only two small faint yellowy marks on the inside, which when illuminated, do" show through a bit on the"outside" of the shade. Forgive these timeworn imperfections and embrace them as part of the charm, or simply turn the shade so these spots don't show. You may decide you want to use your own shade with the lamp. ART DECO PERIOD LAMP MADE FROM VARIOUS KINDS OF SHELLS– circa 1930– 1940’s. THE LAMP IS A SOUVENIR FROM MIAMI FLORIDA. WHICH HAS BEEN CARVED INTO ONE OF THE FRONT SHELLS ON THE LAMP BASE. The lamp was probably hand made in the 1930’s. The top part of the lamp is a large conch shell. Which has been adapted in to a shade with a metal ring. The base is made from multiple shells mounted in a plaster or chalk ware substance. In the center of the base is an electric socket for the bulb and 3 screws in a brass shade holder is hold the top conch shell. There is no longer the electrical cord on the lamp– there is a round brass tube at the back of the lamp for the cord to come through(see my photo) You would have to re-wire the socket. Condition of the lamp is good– a very few rough edges on one side of the conch shell– probably there before the lamp ... morewas made. MEASUREMENTS: The lamp weighs about 4 pounds before any packing materials. The measurement from the table top up to the top of the conch shell is 10 inches. The base of the lamp measures about 6 inches by 5 inches. Heavy, thick glass shade and column that has been paired with a vintage solid brass bottom piece and a solid cast ceiling cap, and then rewired with brand new period correct cloth covered wire and new porcelain sockets. All brand new hardware and fixture hub& chain too! Crystals are stunning. The finial is a HUGE brand new, faceted 26% lead crystal ball(measures about 1 3/4" diameter on the ball) The hanging octagon chains are brand new too, and the long pencil drops are antique. This custom chandelier is an excellent example of Art Deco style and is spectacular to look at! It's large. Measures almost 17" wide and the total drop including crystals is approximately ... more24 1/2" It can be shortened by about 2" if requested. It has 5 light sockets accepting up to 60 watts each. So it really lights up a space! Suitable for a large room. The flaws: Brass parts contain some tarnish- not noticeable though. The shade itself has a couple of straw marks from manufacture. A small chip on the inside rim(not seen) and a teeny, teeny, tiny area of bumpiness at an edge. I have photoed all of this for you to see. You can see some epoxy on the inside of the bottom brass piece, if you stand above the light and scrutinize it. You will notice it when installing it, but then it cannot be seen at all. That being said.it is in like new working condition. Refurbished with with top quality parts, sure to last another 90 years. The overall effect of this chandelier is just stunning. Matching Set of 4 Macbeth Galax Light Shades Matching set of four shades. This is a really cool set. I like the irregularities of the color fading. Two fade from white to clear. And the other two fade from white to light blue. They have some irregular edges, and some swirling bubbles near the openings. They're all marked like the one in the photo. They're about 9 1/2 in. wide and stand about 8 in. tall. The opening is exactly 3 15/16 in. wide. Excellent. Flawless condition with no chips, cracks, or scratches. Vintage Art Deco GLASS LAMP PARTS BEADED HOBNAIL Spacer Base
For your consideration is a lot of 4 PIECES OF GLASS LAMP PARTS. 1- The first piece(pics 2.3,4) is a hobnail beaded lamp base measuring 4 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" tall. It has 4 rows of beaded glass and weighs appox. 10 oz. It has a 1/2" cut out on the bottom row of beaded glass for the electrical cord. This piece has a little discoloration near the hole but otherwise no nicks or chips that I can see. 2- The next piece(pics 5.6,7) is a 2 5/8" wide X 2" tall and 1/4" thick glass spacer? It has one piece of one of the beads broken and a couple of chips on the top hole. Still a very good. Usable piece. 3- The next piece(pic 8.9) is a spacer measuring 1/2" tall X 2 5/8" wide. It has 2 indentions near the hole and has a couple of chips missing from the glass near the hole. There is also a little discoloration ... morenear the hole but looks like it could be cleaned off. 4- The last piece(pics 10.11,12) is a 1 7/8" across on one end and 7/8" across on the other end, 1/4" thick and is 2 3/16" tall. I can't say for sure the shade dates as old as the lamp. But it is an old shade. Has an old Fat boy socket in it; I've turned it on and off 25-30 times; works great. Should probably have no more than a 60 watt bulb, though in the old days, they regularly installed 100 waters. Designed as a task light, mainly for reading in the parlor. 56 1/2" tall. Antique 1920's Art Deco Sage Green Swirl Slag Glass Floor Lamp Cast Iron Base
Please read ALL of the text and view the pictures carefully. We will gladly answer any questions as best we can. Please ask questions before you bid or buy. Please scroll to the bottom of the pictures and read the terms under our last picture. My Great Uncle owned a lamp shop in DC for almost 50 years. From the late 30's until the early 80's. The lamps we have listed this week came from his estate. My aunt, his daughter, recently passed away and we took these parts from her attic. Her Dad had strung these parts in order on a piece of wire and had them hanging in his shop. After he passed back in the 80's my aunt brought them home and hung them in her attic. About 10 years ago she gave us a strand of these parts. We found a threaded pole here on ebay and took the pieces off of the wire, sliding them down the pole in the order they ... morecame off of the wire and we have had a beautiful slag glass floor lamp ever since. I believe all the parts are here to make a lamp but it is missing the threaded pole and a proper socket cluster. The single socket that was with the rest of the parts is incomplete as shown and the pull chain does not work. The threads in the cast iron base are fine. The slag glass parts are a sage green with brown swirls through them. The only damage I see on this entire lamp is the chip on the slag base as shown. The steel and cast iron parts had been stripped of their paint or plating years ago and since had acquired some rust so I wire brushed them on my wheel. They could use some more wire wheeling to complete the prep work but for the most part that phase is done. The underneath of the base is still very rusty. There are 2 solid brass tubes, one with filigree, both are painted but I took my buffing wheel buffing a small area to show you how nice they'll polish up. The tube without the filigree would be the one that goes near the top like ours is. I laid these parts out in a line on the floor and they measure about 60" in length. Thank you for viewing. This is a Vintage Art Deco Chrome and Houze Akro Agate Swirl Slag Glass Three Light Torchiere Floor Lamp. There are numerous lighting options that are available on this lamp. The glass on the base lights up to show the peach. Orange swirl pattern when turned on from the switch on the base and then there is a switch for the three lamps on the top and also a switch for the main torchiere light at the very top. It has a fan design around the base with two discs between the glass on the shaft. The switch on the top has an F on it. It is in as found condition with no chips or cracks to the glass and only some minor rust underneath the base. Vintage Art Deco (Frank Lloyd Wright style) Adjustable Floor Lamp
This Item up for Auction is a Vintage Wooden Floor Lamp Made in the Art Deco Style. The Lamp Stands just over 41/2ft Tall. With an Adjustable Multi-Position 30" Arm. This Item resembles Frank Lloyd Wright design. The arm has no pivoting axis but uses a tention bolt on either side of the upright to use friction to hold it in place. With just a slight pull in the direction needed, the arm travels up or down with ease at any and all angles. The manufacturer and designer is unknown. This piece though was aquired from the estate of a man that was a avid Frank Lloyd Wright collector. So who knows, but it is a neat, wonderfully designed wooden fixture of the 50s or 60s. This fantastic Art Deco Rembrandt floor lamp is made of aluminum. Chrome and navy enamel accent at the base. Measures 5' 5" tall, base is 12" across, the top shade measures 14" across with the other two measuring down from there. I recently purchased the lamp from an estate sale. And was told it is in working order. I cannot test this as the socket is fitted to bulbs used during the time period in which it was made. The purchaser will need to either purchase bulbs from that time period(if this is possible) or change out the fitting. Very unusual and possibly quite rare art deco denby pottery lamp in green mottled glazes with. Stylized otter? handles and deco style fish decoration the base signed Danesby Ware/bourne denby england. GILBERT Sculptor.
