This is an Antique German 2 Weight Gustav Becker XL Regulator Wall Clock from the late 1800's- early 1900's with a Beautiful Eagle top. This clock is a beautiful antique and very rare to find one. This clock is made of solid wood and has great detail and rich natural colors of beauty. This clock has an amazing tall crown with a beautiful eagle and finals that sure catches ones eye. The clock has it's 3 pieces of wavy glass. The movement is stamped Gustav Becker 465902 one of the finest clock makers. The clock comes with it's pendulum. Two weights and it's winding key. This is an 8 day clock. The clock tick's and tock's and gongs like it should. The clock gongs on the half hour and on the hour the number of the times the hour. The face is made of porcelain and is 7 1/4 inches in diameter. Up for auction is this Antique Gustav Becker Double Weight Driven Vienna Regulator Wall Clock. This clock is in Good working condition. The clock is run on 2 weights. The clock keeps good time. I would suggest taking the clock in to get it adjusted when receiving the clock. The weights and pendulum will be taken off the clock when shipped and will need to be put back on. This is a beautiful.Large oak wall bracket dating from the Arts and Crafts period at the end of the 19th century. The bracket is all hand carved by a skillful maker and has a quirky design of pea pod tendrils set within scroll end panels.The oak has developed into a wonderful rich toffee colour and has a great patina.It would probably have been used originally as a clock bracket but is equally suitable for large vases or pieces of sculpture.The bracket is in excellent original condition with just the brass hanging plates missing.But these are easily obtained and just screw into the wood.Its top shelf measures 40 cms x 20.5 cms and the whole thing is 23 cms deep. I am also listing a similarly carved set of folding book shelves of the same period-take a look. A lovely and very useful Arts and Crafts wall bracket that would grace any collection.

This is a beautiful double-faced oak wood wall clock in perfect working condition. It reportedly hung in the New York Central Railroad's Buffalo. New York, office building, a part of the historic NYCRR Buffalo railroad station. Originally. This clock was a so-called"slave" clock whose hands were actuated once a minute by remote control from a so-called"master" clock, thus assuring time accuracy so essential for railroads. At some point after the clock was removed from service, two standard electric clock movements were substituted for the two remote control relay devices(one for each face) and that is the way the clock has been functioning ever since. However, the two original relays(one for each face) were preserved and are included in this sale. The main part of the clock measures 17" x 17" square and is ... more7 7/8" thick. Antique 1880's Seth Thomas 8-day Ships Wall Deck Clock Oak Case Last weeks transaction is being cancelled so the item is being relisted. Believed to have been salvaged from the USS Wachusett when it was decommissioned from naval service in 1885. Has the twin barrel Seth Thomas model 10 Movement for 8-days of run time- this dates it to no earlier than 1880 when they started making this movement. This corresponds to its history after its next to last refit- Time only- it does not have ships bells Oak Case appears to have been laquered within the last 50 years or so. Original dial and antique key which also appears original. Has a seconds bit on top part of the dial. Case has supports on top and bottom to prevent rocking with the ship movements 8 inches in diameter with a 6 inch dial Movement was hand cleaned and oiled Brass keyhole trim ... morepiece is missing from the right side dial hole When servicing the clock I noticed that there was a pencil mark on the inside of the case that says"1885 Wachusette CWPhilip" The name Wachusett is mis-spelled- with an e added(this suggsts that the writer may have been of French descent where words often end in-ett e) From the internet I discovered that the ship was decommisioned out of naval service in 1885 and sold in 1887 as a commercial vessel. The last naval captain was John Woodward Philip( that means the CW should actually be a JW) From the errors I assume that the note was written by either an original salvager or someone after the fact who wanted to document where it came from. With some errors in his knowledge- hence the errors in the notation. The Wachusett was a wooden sloop fitted with nine guns(including a turretted cannon) by the Union side during the civil war. It participated in the blockades of Confederate ports during the war. The last photo is a rendering of the ship I found on-line NOTE: I cannot authenticate the notations in the clock case but it does appear to have the general facts right- although it has those errors mentioned above. You can tell that it is definitely an old piece from the style. The floral design on the body and the picture of the ships and old lighthouse. It measures about 21 1/4" long and 7 1/4" at the widest point. The little cupboard measures about 2 3/16" deep on the outside. The clock body is mostly wooden with decorative metal sides and a metal cover with bubble glass over the clock face ~ and it is hinged. The wood has a natural crackle finish from age and it's really beautiful. The clock features a faded floral garland- the flowers look like they might be pansies. It measures 24" in top-to-bottom height with the octagon being approximately 17-1/4" in diameter. The clock face measures 12" in diameter. The wood and graining is stunning. But the wood-type is unknown to me. Possibly walnut or rosewood? It is in good condition with a rich and warm patina overall without much wear at all barring a small bit of wood damage to the right side of the octagon(view close-up ... morephoto) The metal face plate has large-sized Roman numeral letters and it is in good condition with only light scratch markings and wear. The brass retaining ring is very dulled/dirtied on the exterior. The glass is in good condition, but does not fit tightly in the retaining ring. It will be packed separately for shipment. Also the"minutes" hand has been crafted from a thick paper and was finished to match the other hand. This replacement was well-done and is not noticeable until very close inspection. There is no way to fasten the pendulum to the movement, so at least the suspension spring is missing. Possibly other small parts as I know only a tiny bit about clocks. There is no key with the clock, so its working/non-working condition is completely unknown. The wood has dulled with age and storage and the interior of the clock case is very dirty. There is a small bit of old adhesive residue found to the underside of the drop that should be removed as well during the cleaning of this lovely clock. There is a hole in the back of case as shown on the instructions picture where someone used it for leveling. Comes with key and pendulum. Runs very well- is running in our house right now. George Excerpt from the members of Saxonia in 1938. German watchmaker. George Karp graduated from 1913 to 1914 training at the German School of Watchmaking in Glashütte. He was based in Darmstadt. Germany. Karp was a member of Saxonia. Mauthe(b.1822-d.1884) freeswinger clock's case is a style that seems to have been popular in Europe around 1890-1900 and later. According to Kochmann. The Adler trade mark is one of several used by Mauthe. The spread eagle logo F.M.S. appears to have begun to be used in many German made products as a part of the logo in the Kaiser Wilheim era. DRP 55006 was issued in November 1890 to an H. Kielmann in Ruhrort am Rhein. With the period of protection back-dated(following the German practice) several months to the date of application, It was for a Pendelaufhängung, that is, how the pendulum was suspended. Description Hi. This gorgeous clock seems to be at least partially working. I gave it a push and the chimes started going. I made a youtube video and you can listen the sound. Please click the link: First the sounds was not so clear. Then something in the moviment make a sound of a click and the sound gets much better. The wooden shows worm holes, top and sides of the case are glass. This clock was manufactured by Gustav Becker. According to Wikipedia. This brand was manufactured between 1899 and 1930, so the clock likely dates from the early 1900's. His factory was in the Black Forest area of Germany(Silesia) The size is: 26" tall x 13 3/4" wide x 6 1/2" deep. The bottom does have a ornamental piece that is loose and needs to be glued.
