It's a really old triptysh used for shaving. Everything is original on this metal framed folding mirror, including a rare handle built on and very well fix ed. On the back of each mirror there's a lincrusta paper who look like leather. It's an art nouveau decoration with an embossed Lincrusta floral motif. However there's a color variation on each of the embossed coverings. When I was about 19 living on my own my mom had a yard sale and I stopped by her house and saw that she was selling this mirror(this was like 26 years ago! and I grabbed it and was like"What the heck mom! you can't sell this mirror, it's been in my life for most of my life! So she gave it to me and I've been dragging it around ever since. It's an awesome mirror. Antique vanity swivel mirror. Beveled glass mirror in stand with figure of a G eisha Girl. Made by Golden MFG C hicago in the late 1800's. C ast base and figure with a bronze wash. Beveled mirror is in very good condition for it's age. There is some silver or mercury loss at one corner, I took many pics and do show this. Also there is a very small crack at base and some paint loss see pics. Measures 1 9" tall overall. Mirror measures 10" tall by 8" across at center, figure measures 6" tall. Mirror frame is 19 1/2 x 15 1/2" Heavy wood. Back is paper and it is ripped some. Strong hanging wire. There is a spot about 1 1/2" long below and to the right of leaves that has silvering. Maybe even Federal Period(early 1800's) but probably Jacksonian(pre-Civil War) This guy deals in Colonial period items, so he may have some basis for that opinion. The second guy said it doesn't look that old. Probably more Victorian period. The decoupage decoration on the top and bottom appears to be built on a plywood frame and appied with box nails. His opinion was that they(along with the little balls) may have been applied to an older frame and mirror, which is the part he thinks the first guy was mainly looking at when trying to establish the age of the mirror. He says it's a nice mirror. 30" high x 22" wide x 2" deep overall. 22" high without the decoration top and bottom The mirror needs restoration. The glass is in good condition. There is some silvering loss and deteriorization. The frame itself is in decent condition. Antique Sterling Silver Mirror and Brush set - Birmingham circa 1919-1920.
Sterling Silver Matching antique vanity mirror and brush set. Mirror is 11 inches long and weighs 430 grams. The diameter of the mirror is 5.5 inches. Brush is also 11 inches in length. I am not an expert on hallmarks but from the book that I have the anchor implies Birmingham and the V and U on the hallmark imply 1919-1920 but I could be wrong. The main hallmarks on both are I think"D.Co" Then the anchor, then the lion then a"V" on the mirror and a"U" on the brush. There is also a serial no(see photograph) Both brush and mirror have scuff/scratch marks commensurate with their age. I am open to offers.

This is a very unusual hall tree. I have never seen one quite like it. There are flat grooved columns on each side with hooks at top, they are connected to back with a shelf. Applied carving adorns the crest with hook on each side. Instead of the typical lift up lid there is a large drawer at the bottom w. brass handle pull. on the left side behind column is an umbrella holder with original drip pan. The shaped beveled mirror is original, hence there are a few spots and streaks, but doesn't detract from the looks. Total width, including umbrella holder, is 39" depth is 18" height is 80-1/2" We have not refinished this hall tree, the finish appears to be original and is quite good, the piece is structurally strong as well. Antique Oak Bathroom Cabinet Towel Bar Silvered Mirror Medicine Chest Early 1900
Very. Very nice condition. This was made by Edward Mikkelsen& Co, Chicago Illinois. The stamped image on the door says, Manufactured by EDW MIKKELSEN& CO, Chicago Ill" Edward Mikkelsen was a cabinet maker and was best known as one of the founders and craftsmen of the Automatic Machine and Tool Co in 1898 with John Gabel. He continued to make the oak cabinets for John Gabel's amusement and music machines. Including jukeboxes, in the very late 1890's and very early 1900's, even though he sold his share in the company a year after they started. Mirror has some slight scratches in the silver. But overall it is very nice considering the age. Please view the sixth and seventh pictures to get an idea of how the mirror looks. The outside looks great with minor wear. On the inside, the wood piece that holds the mirror in has ... morepulled away a bit on one side where the wood split a little(see eighth picture) Still functioning properly, though. The back appears to be pine, but I am not a wood expert. It is not oak like the rest of the cabinet. There are two additional shelves. All shelves are in very good condition, with some minor staining. The towel bar is original and is removeable. I do not know if the white porcelain knob is original or not, but would assume that it is. Cabinet is 22 1/2" high x 16 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" deep. It does have some wear to the gesso. Along with some splits, due to it's age. It is solid and sturdy though. The frame measures 24 1/2" long by 20" wide by 2 1/2" deep, but it does have wire to hang either way you prefer. Antique 18x24 Oval Ship's Beveled Glass Mirror Nickle over Brass Wood Back c1900 Description: This is an antique nickle over brass heavy metal frame oval mirror with a terrific nautical look. It dates. I would guess, to the early 1900s. It measures 18 x 24 inches and weighs a hefty 13 pounds before packing. It attaches to the wall on two mounting posts. The posts are secured to the wall by 3 screws each. A removable nut at the end of each post makes it easy to put up or take down the mirror. The two posts hold the mirror off the wall by about one inch. The beveled glass mirror has a wood back that looks old and original. The mirror is in good shape with no chips or cracks but the silvered surface is worn and spotty- very vintage looking. The old mirror can still be used but it could also be resilvered or replaced.
