Dates to the late 1880’s. Measures a full 6 1/2 inches tall. The jar measures 4 1/4 inch tall with 3 3/8 inch base diameter. Condition is good. No internal staining or repairs present, there is a nick at the top rim and scratches at the base rim where is rests inside a silver frame holder. This is a genuine vintage sold oak shaving medicine cabinet. It measures 20 1/4" high. 16 1/4" wide and 6 1/2" deep and stamped 40 on the back. It is in excellent shape with minimal wear and no cracks or dents. It is finished on the top and bottom so it looks good from above and below and it could be be turned upside down if you would rather the door swing to go the other way. The shelf unit inside is removable if you want to turn it around. It has a lock with mechanism but I do not have the key. Looks like its one of those little L shaped keys which can be found. Antique Ansonia Clock 1880s Triumph Ornate Transition? Cherub Mirror Mantel Vtg I have to start with saying I am not a clock person but will do my best describing. I purchased this clock as a Ansonia Triumph. After looking at others on ebay I am not positive that it is a Triumph. It's not exactly the same as the others, but then again, no 2 were exactly alike and I suppose in the late 1800's that they were all hand made and assembled and might not all be the same. I also thought it could be a transitional clock which would make it important. Now for the real description. The clock is running. I don't know how to adjust the pendulum for speed but it is keeping close time. Within minutes in 1 1/2 days. The minute hand has a little wiggle might need to be on tighter? The chime has a nice sound. It was random on the first day I started ... morethe clock but after a few hours it has since then been chiming on the hour. My husband who does woodwork thinks the case was stripped. When you wind it, the chime winds fine(don't wind too hard, that's how it got stuck) and the"time" on the right, you have to push the face in a little so the key can grip, it is not perfectly aligned for the key to fit in freely. the face does have the logo and name Ansonia. The cherubs on either side are in nice condition, the mirrors also nice. The gold scroll work on front glass also nice. Love the pendulum design as well as the design of the case itself. Just ornate enough and very tasteful. The face when the door is open does not lay perfectly flat. I did not open the back, it is nailed on and I didn't want to take the risk. The front glass on the door has a tiny gap at the 12 o'clock that I never noticed until the door was open and I saw it from the back. This measures 23 1/2 inches tall, 5 inches deep and 15 inches across the bottom. It does come with a key. ORNATE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CAST BRASS TRIPLE EASEL-BACK VANITY MIRROR
Ca1880 fabulous artifact from elegant Victorian living… an ornate cast brass three-panel easel-back dressing table/vanity mirror. This wonderful piece consists of three mirrored panels hinged together in an ornate open cast brass frame decorated with a cherub top crest. The left and right mirrors close with a small brass latch. The center mirror has a cast brass easel-back that allows the mirror to stand at the desired angle. At some point in the past the ornate open cast brass frame was polished and lacquered. The ornate decoration around the frame consists of typical Victorian motifs of flowers. Leaves, urns, scrolls, etc. with a very detailed cherub head at the top center. Each mirror is blemish-free and is backed with purple velvet. The mirrors each measure 9-1/2 inches by 7-1/2 inches, the frame is overall 18-1/2 inches high by 11-1/4 ... moreinches wide. When the mirrors are opened, the piece measured 18-1/4 inches wide. Note the mirrors are perfect but are covered with white paper for the photographs except for the very last photo which has considerable glare from the flash. I do not know exactly how old. There are various thin cracks in the gesso and small thin trim around the edge next to the mirror is missing some sections but is not very noticeable. Various scuffs on the silver accents. Mirror is excellent and appears more modern than frame. Probably installed in the past 30-40 years. It is tacked in very well. It has a loop at the top for hanging from a necklace as a pendant or on a chatelaine. Measures 4.25 inches long including the loop(4" inches without the loop) The repousse handle is marked"Sterling" The mirror does have a few scratches. But the artistry is in the silver work. The mirror back shows Artemis drawing an arrow from her quiver with a stag in the background. Nicely made with a lot of detail in her flowing robes and nature scene. This is an antique piece from some time in the Victorian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau period. The last picture shows what the piece looked like before I polished it.

Antique Arts&Crafts Style Pine( with dark finish) Dresser Harp and Mirror Frame(no glass) I believe it originally was on a highboy style dresser which is a tall narrower width wise with 5 or 6 drawers rather than a 3 or 4 drawer lower dresser. The width of this harp and mirror is about 32 1\2 inches wide which would more than likely be too short for a lower type dresser because they are usually high 30's to 40's inches wide. The measurements are the total height to the top of the mirror from the bottom is about 23" and the height of the post(harp sides) would be 20 3\4" The outside measurements of the mirror itself is 22 1\2" wide and 20 1\2" tall and the glass itself would you get to put in the frame is 20 1\2 x 22 1\2 inches. The original mirror hinges are both there and the back wood supports are also there. ... moreJust to let you know this harp and mirror was made to sit on the back edge of the top thus the support strips which screw on to the very back of the dresser itself verses the type that sets in the space on back and actually screws into the top itself. The arts&crafts connection is the way the two harp uprights are cut as was the style in that era(see photos#4 and#6) If you needed to cut down the width of the whole unit the small extensions on the left and right on the very bottom could be changed or cut back according to your needs. Age is not definite, but from what I know and who I know, we believe it was made sometime between the very late 1800s to the very early 1900s, up to 1920. The server I believe is from Europe due to the estate I purchased it from and its woods and marble are extraordinary. The server measures 55 1/4" wide. 21" deep, and 62" high to the top of the mirror. Speaking of the bevelled heavy mirror, which is in excellent condition, the frame has a marvelous bronze decoration in the middle that looks similiar to a cartouche; where one would expect family initials. All the wonderful bronze ormalu decorations are intact and magnificent. The Italian marble is very outstanding as well and in excellent condition. There were two(because I felt them) fleabite and I mean tiny.nicks on the edge. They are not noticable to the eye. Other than that the marble top and two flanked panels of marble are all intact, NO cracks or stain, etc.they are very nice. The three doors all have original locks. The doors are elaboratly carved. Each end having a basket of flowers and the middle looks like a shell of some kind. They were very tastefully executed. Shipping for this piece varies due to distance. Ship fees in Suffolk. It is beautifully designed in what appears to be Bacchus along with some great scroll work. Although not completely certain. We believe it is either cast bronze, or cast iron with a bronze finish. It has the Bradley& Hubbard mark on the back along with the numerals 3504-3509. There is one screw and tiny plate holder missing on the back that holds the mirror in place which we only mention for accuracy as the other four hold the mirror in place. We do not believe it to be the original mirror though we are not completely certain. It has some wear throughout consistent with age and use along with some wonderful minor patina, though no damage that we can detect. This well-loved and well-tended piece has been with us for decades; we are offering as part of downsizing for retirement. It is a visually stunning and intricate piece. But has seen use and wear which is apparent to the critical eye(see pictures for the most major flaws) This is a hand-carved two-part sideboard(gallery and base) Circa 1870. A lion-motif pediment was added to the top of the mirrored gallery. Barley-twist column supports flank a 3-section vitrine of beveled mirror and glass. The mirror and glass is original and in excellent condition. Underneath the gallery is an open area with double-turned column supports. The gallery is set upon a single base of carved oak possessing 3 rectangular drawers(the centermost is partitioned inside for holding silverware) and 3 paneled cabinet doors. Plus one long rectangular drawer along the base. ... moreThe drawers flanked by barley rope twist columns; the drawers themselves possess decorative carvings and possess their original brass bail handles with embossed heads in relief. All drawers and cabinets can be open/shut easily(pictures available upon request) Parts of the original brass fixtures have been lost from the cabinet doors and the joins between the gallery column supports and the base of the gallery have lost their original façade decoration and cracked slightly open. Maintaining the original finish requires applying lemon oil 1-2 times a year. Drawers slide smoothly provided the runners are rubbed 1-2 times a year with a bar of hard soap.
