Rare Antique Lincoln Electric Mantle Clock Depression Era 110 Volt Wooden
Very interesting antique clock here. I have never seen one like it. This clock is very primitive. You can tell it was cheaply mass produced. The glass is actual glass, and it is very loose, but still holding in. The clock is cracked on the top, see pictures. The back is very crude, and is held on with primitive nails. I have never taken off the back of the of it before, so I don't know what it looks like. There is a label on the back of the clock, that is mostly gone, but some of it is still visible. Two knobs on the back, and the fabric coated cord as well. The cord is not in good shape, and is fairly deteriorated at the base of it. The cord is zip-tied, and has been since I've owned it. It has the name Margret Aotor or Aator scripted on the clock face along with Made in Germany. This is a highly detailed piece. There are no seams anywhere on this clock The clock runs for a while and then stops. It is 9½ inches tall. 9 ¼ inches wide at the base, and 3 inches deep. It is done in a hard faux material. The clock body is a scene of a man and woman from the French Colonial 17th century. The woman is posing next to the clock and the man is playing a violin. There are flowers by the man. There are 2 Gargoyles sculpted as table legs and ferns with flowers under the clock. On the top of the clock are two babies sitting on a bed of flowers. Antique Ingraham 8 Day Mantle Clock*1910* This classic looking clock was made by the E. Ingraham Co. at Bristol. Conn. USA in 1910, making it just over 100 years old. It features a quality signed and dated(1910) Ingraham 8 day time and strike mantle clock movement that has been professionally cleaned and is in good running order, keeping time and chiming properly. It counts each hour, i.e. 1 gong at 1:00, 2 gongs at 2:00, etc. on a deep and mellow sounding cathedral gong, and announces each half hour with a single toll on an old bell chime. It has a really nice and rare to find brass dial that is perforated for the numbers. This is an Antique 4 Pillar Adamantine Mantle Clock Mfg. Unknown. All Original& Complete to our knowledge. It runs 5 to 7 minutes and quits. It does chime on the hour and bell dings on the half hour. It does have adamantine pillars as seen in picture#3. Has a few marks in case. I was told I should put a drop of clock oil on but left alone as purchased. Inside back cover says 11-30-27 cleaned. It measures approx. 16" wide at base(including feet) x 11" high x 6 1/2" in depth. Pictures pretty much tell the story or we have tried to show total clock& condition. The case is 18 1/2" tall with a 4 x 10" base with the original Brewster paper label. The hole for the face is 6 1/8" in diameter with a 7" diameter space for it to be screwed in on the side. Runs Great! With a strike on the half hour and sounds the hour on the hour ON A HIGH QUALITY CATHEDRAL GONG. It measures 9 inches high 17 inches wide and 6 ½ inches deep. This is a high end New Haven clock! It has a"New Haven Clock Co" HIGH QUALITY 8 day time and strike rare movement. It has a rack and snail strike. Means it will self adjust to the correct time. The case is beautiful and all original with the beautiful original finish! The case is made of mahogany with a beautiful style in superior condition with the original finish. Absolutely beautiful. Has its original finish in beautiful shiny condition. The movement runs very well ... moreand keeps good time. Has its signed New Haven original porcelain mint condition dial. Has its original heavy bevel glass on the front door– also the door fits well and is tight. This clock has an adjustment for fast and slow at the top of the dial as well as on its original pendulum. This way you do not have to take the clock down from its shelf to adjust it for slow and fast! The back door is original and in perfect condition. The bezel(the metal around the dial) is in perfect condition, aged to a very nice antique patina. See picture) Everything is original to the case– there are no extra screw holes, and the screws are tight. The metal around the dial(bezel) is original(no extra screw holes) Complete with the original adjustable pendulum and the original key. Antique NEW HAVEN STEEPLE MANTLE CLOCK ...Complete...just needs TLC
This is an antique steeple mantle clock made by New Haven clock Company of New Haven. Connecticut. It stands about 21” tall overall. The face has some its original paper chipped off so that would probably have to be changed. It has its pendulum which is an adjustable one.I do not know if it is original to this particular clock or not but it does look to be an old one. The key is also with this. It definitely needs some TLC.it will run a bit but then stops.it needs a good cleaning, oiling and adjusting. It will chime when its running correctly. The face has a couple newer type screws holding it on so I can assume this clock has been played with and upon moving the face, the inner works can be exposed and they look complete. It will run fast without the pendulum on it.the gears will work and it will gong. It has some veneer chipping to one ... moreof the side columns. It is signed on the inside bottom. About New Haven Clock Company: Incorporated February 7. 1853, the New Haven Clock Company was formed by clockmaker Hiram Camp and others to supply clock movements to the Jerome Manufacturing Company, then the largest clock making operation in the world. Three years later, the Jerome firm went bankrupt and in April of 1856 the New Haven Clock Company raised an additional $20,000 and purchased the Jerome operation. By 1860. The firm employed 300 men and 15 women and was producing about 170,000 clocks a year. In 1866, the old Jerome factory was destroyed by fire, but a new brick factory was soon built which survives today with many additions. Ingraham Clock Company Circa 1915 This Ingraham clock is a very nice all original black mantle 6 pillar column clock that features its gold gilt patina on it ornaments and green sandstone marbleized trim moldings that accent this old antique mantle clock. The clock has some normal wear for an antique clock. There are a couple of dents in the top of the clock. The clock is structurally sound there are no loose joints or trim missing. This clock also has the lion heads with the rings in there mouths also. The pictures describe this well cared for clock the best. The 5 inch Ingraham silver dial with the gold raised numerals is original and has the Art Deco style numerals. The dial does have the Ingraham markings on the dial as well. The brass bezel opens and closes correctly and does not open prematurely. It also has the original convex glass as well. The fast slow regulator is located at the numeral 12. Up for auction is this Antique Baduf German Wood Mantle Clock. This clock is for parts or repair. The clock is in good cosmetic condition. The case of the clock is made out of wood. There are no cracks or repairs anywhere in the wood case of the clock. The wood does show the normal signs of use with minor surface scratches but nothing to take away from its appearance. The clock appears to have its Original Beveled Glass dial cover. The glass is in good condition with no chips or cracks. The clock has a brass colored bezel. The dial of the clock is a brushed silver metal dial. The dial has black hands and black Roman numerals for hour markers. There are 2 brass colored metal columns on each side of the clock. Recent estate find; Antique E. Ingraham Co. black mantle clock in non-working condition for parts or repair. Physical condition is very good. Structurally. This clock is very sound. Solid wood, very heavy body. Cosmetically, a few paint splashes, couple of nicks, very heavy patina, slight wear to corners, but I have found no major damage to wood. There is no glass cover/door over the face plate and only one hand. The mechanical movement is installed and I have not attempted to remove anything from inside the clock. I can not give details on the movement other than I can see from the bottom that both of the coils are still tight. I do not see a weight. As you can see from the pics, there is no opening on the back cover, just the label. On the label, I can read"INITIAL" and E Ingraham Clock Company. The clock appears to have its Original Glass. The bottom piece of glass is reverse painted. The painting is of Burns' Cottage. The paint is in fair to good condition. Here is a Beautiful Antique 1800'S E.N. Welch 8 Day Key Wind Gingerbread Kitchen Mantle Clock in Working Condition. This clock was made by E.N. Welch Company out of Forestville. Conn U.S.A. The clock is approximately 21.5" Tall, 14" Wide and 5" Deep. As you can see from the photos most of the stenciling on the front glass is still intact and depicts a scene of a crane standing in a marsh. There are no chips. Cracks or breaks on the front glass. The back the original paper work for the clock. The key is included. As with most clocks of this age the brass pendulum is very ornate and beautiful. The small nails holding the top piece on the back top appear to be"loose" just an FYI please check out picture. The 8 Day movement chimes on the half and full hour counting down the hours. This fantastic piece of clock making ... morehistory is an heirloom piece that can be treasured and passed on from generation to generation. The E.N. Welch Clock Company Before 1831. Elisha Niles Welch was in business with his father, George, who operated an iron foundry in Bristol, Connecticut. The foundry made weights and bells for clocks. When Elisha Welch formed a partnership with Thomas Barnes Jr. they named the company Barnes& Welch. The firm manufactured wooden-movement shelf clocks and was involved in business with Jonathan C. Brown and Chauncey Pomeroy. From 1841 until 1849. E.N. Welch partnered with J.C. Brown, who used Forestville Manufacturing Company and J.C. Brown of Bristol, Connecticut as company names. Chauncey Pomeroy was also a partner in these companies. The two factories manufactured eight-day clocks with brass movements. In 1853. Fire destroyed J.C. Brown's Forestville hardware and Clock Company. Welch bought Elisha Manross' failing clock parts business and J.C. Brown's Forestville Company after it went bankrupt. He also purchased Frederick S. The only issue with this mantle clock is that I can only get this to run for a couple of minutes at a time. I expect that it was last wound to tight and now the springs will not release to“power” the pendulum continuously. Over all. The mantle clock is in very good condition. ANTIQUE MANTLE CLOCK SLATE MARBLE ORNATE METAL FACE, DESCRIPTION: This clock is 10 1/2" high. 8 3/4" long and 5 1/2" front to back. The body is made of a heavy black substance like marble or some other stone. The top front and bottom front are inlaid with a black and green veined marble. There are also engraved decorations with gold in them. The ornate face is made of metal. The back is a metal grate lined with green cloth. The back plate that covers the works does not have a manufacturer name on it but has the numbers 275 43 at the bottom. When you look inside through the bottom you can see that the inside has a light brown stone or plaster/cement over which the black substance is veneered about 3/8" thick and there is a white plaster around as can be seen in our pictures. CONDITION: No key. Not sure if it keeps time ... morebut the pendulum swings and the clock ticks when it does so. No bottom. As you are facing the clock you can see a small scratch and a couple of small chips off of the lower corner of the"roof" section. There is also a very small chip off the black substance at the very bottom corner. Some of the white plaster substance is visible at one of the back/side joints of the back panel. Antique NEW HAVEN Estate Black Wood Mantle Clock With Keys - Working!
You are bidding on an antique New Haven clock. This clock was purchased from an estate sale from Los Gatos. California. The base of the clock is made from wood I believe to be painted black. It has beautiful engravings on the side and base. The back has a circle opening which gives you access to the working parts of the clock and the pendulum swing. It does come with 3 keys, two large ones and a small one. The clock works and has a beautiful chime when it hits the hour, and half hour. The wood is chipped in some spots and the face has some cracking. The paint also seems worn down a bit. RARE ANTIQUE WORKING CAST BRASS & MARBLE SWISS JUWELIA ANGEL & BASS MANTLE CLOCK
We have a large number of vintage and antique clocks currently listed along with an equally impressive number of music boxes and other very nice antique and vintage collectibles. Be sure to have a look at our other items! I have not seen another of this style of clock in ages and it's not likely I ever will again. Frankly. Were it not for the cause listed below, this clock would remain in our home. It is one of the finest works of art I've ever seen in horology and it's signed by"Juwelia" which in a sense, means it might as well be marked, Tiffany. Juwelia created some of the more wondrous clocks ever produced and they are coveted all over the planet. This clock is not an exception. It was created in Switzerland around 1900 and does not bear a Swiss origin though that doesn't surprise me since it was not an international ... morerequirement until after 1920. The clock is simply breathtaking, made from cast brass metal, intricately detailed, and mounted to a marbled stone base making it a wonderful yet heavy timepiece that is ideal for any mantle or table. The theme is pretty cool too since there are a few, very small skulls embedded in the highly-detailed brass making it appear that God, or an angel in this case is having a musical ball over those who are defeated; classic good over evil. The angelic child is playing a large bass and at the very top of the bass is another figural head; very nice! The dial is stunning as well and features raised arabic numerals to mark mark the hours and matching metal hands to point out the time. The back of the clock is brass with a nice patina going for it. The name, Juwelia" appears in their familiar block letter name logo and to the side is a tiny square box with the initials, MET, within it. The clock is fitted with a key wind, precision mechanical movement that lasts for several days on a single wind. Checked by local clock shop and found to be in excellent running condition. May need to be serviced and adjusted after shipment. Original weight. Not original key. Up for auction is an antique Ingram Gila"Kitchen Clock" This particular clock was manufactured from 1895 to 1904. It is a 31-day calendar clock with a paper face. A small thermometer and barometer are located on the sides of the clock. This clock was professionally cleaned in February 2012 and I was told it is in perfect working condition. The key is included.
