Set with 12 individual enamel cartouches. The rear door is glazed to allow the movement to be seen. This type of design does not have a glazed bezel to the front. The Early French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition. It is is the earlier version of the Pendule De Paris movement with a silk suspension. Estate Rare OLLENDORFF Antique French Marble Brass Mantle Clock Garniture
You are looking at a rare OLLENDORFF NEW YORK(1868-1930) Watch co. collectable antique french marble and solid brass mantle clock with matching garniture set. Black and white marble clock set with 3 columns on each side of the clock is in very good condition. No cracks, but a small probably natural flack in the back of the lowest part of one middle marble column, see picture#11, also this clock was chipped on the bottom back left corner and was restored, nice job, see picture#12. Clocks Made in France movement is clean and in working condition. Original movements logo was eliminated for the watch company. But this could have been stamped with the"MARTI" round logo. This clock keeps good time. Has an adjustable french pendulum, rings on a brass bell all the hours and half hours, but the 1 o'clock rings twice just like the 2 o'clock? ... moreI noticed this after having this clock listed for over 2 weeks, all the rest rings as expected. There is a brass winding key with this clock. Not original. Enamel dial face with floral swags is also in good condition. No chips or hairlines, but I see some very small chipping around the adjustable hole above the 12 o'clock, probably made with a small adjustable key not available any more. Clock is clean. No tarnish or pitting, just few expected very minor blemishis, stands on turn screw solid brass adjustable feet. The french pendulum is possibly not original to the clock but over all this used old clock is in very nice condition for it's age. Clock is 17" high. 5" deep. Garniture 11" high, 5 1/2" wide with handles. Set will be very well packed for safe shippment. Antique French Alarm Repeater Clock
This clock is a French alarm repeating clock that is very rare because it has a pendulum escapement instead of a balance wheel. There is no maker's name on the movement but it's the type of mechanism attributed to Japy. The clock is silver plate over a tin type metal with a solid brass front plate. most of the silver has worn off. I believe it was made in France in the early 1900's. The clock has been cleaned and the bushings and main springs look to be in good condition but it won't stay running. Every thing appears to be original and it's complete. Has a spot that looks like rust on the top right around the handle. Measures 4 3/8” high(handle adds another 1 3/8” by 3 1/8” All glass panels are beveled. Cleaned on the outside but dirty on the inside. One side panel has a small chip near the top edge from the inside. The front panel is a little jagged along the bottom edge and I’m pretty sure it is plastic. Dial has some dirt and a small hairline going up and down from the center(where the hand are fastened) There is writing under the 12 probably naming the clock. But it is faded and not legible. Outstanding French 19th Century Petite Sonnerie Carriage Clock with Grande Sonnerie Quarter Repeater. Alarm and with Silvered Escapement in Excellent Fully Working Condition There are way too many fakes of the French carriage clocks out there- here is your chance to own a real and outstanding one. The is clock is a Petite Sonnerie strike. Grande Sonnerie fifteen munute repeater(i.e. repeater functionality is Grande Sonnerie) The regular(non repeat) strike is highly unusual, though. Detailed explanation for the experts is at the bottom. These are some of the most valuable and collectable French carriage clocks. The clock is fully functional- it runs and strikes properly, also repeater works flawlessly, so does the alarm. Dial has a very faint hairline and a virutally invisible(unless the clock is taken apart) right upper corner crack. One ... moreof the glasses has a very, very tiny side chip. Movement is perfect. Minute hand has well done restoration(see closeup picture of the dial) I have not timed the clock to see if it keeps the time accurately, but this is, of course, easily adjustable. Pictures speak for themselves, but do let me know if you have any additional questions. The clock measures 7" high(with handle extended up) 4" wide and 3.5" deep. Non-repeat strike description: While running. It strikes Petite Sonnerie, but only on half hour intervals(i.e. it strikes one gong hours on the hour and two gongs twice on the half hour) I have never seen such a strike on a Petite Sonnerie clock(which normally strike on 15 minute intervals when running) and presumed that there was something wrong with the clock's strike. So, I took it apart only to find that the Cannon Pinion lacks the quarter hour lifting pins- they were never there. Thus, this clock's strike seems to be as designed. Up for bid is a very nice rare antique French 2 Gong Chime Clock. The case is finished in dark mahogany and is in great condition. The glass door and bezel have excellent hinge and clasp mechanisms with a push-button door clasp. The front bezel door opens fully for access to the dial for ease of setting. The glass has no cracks or scratches and is solidly set in place. There is an inlaid design in the lower front of the case. The dial is age worn. But clear. There has been a repair in the upper right hand corner as indicated in photo#7. The brass feet were replaced by a previous owner, but this in no way takes away from the beauty of the case. This is an antique FRENCH REPEATED CLOCK. AS I RECEIVED A MAIL FROM SOME EXPERT AND TOLD ME THAT IT IS A FRENCH MERCHANDISE WITH ANSONIA KEY and original pendulum. But I don't know it. It runs couple hours and will be stopped, so I don't know the timing. It is with very very heavy marble case and great porcelain dial. The size of the base is around 5X9 inch and 8-1/4 inch high. I am selling it in as is for some handyman to do some cleaning and oiling or for parts only. This item is a clock only.NO OTHER THINGS INCLUDED. He told me that The movement is a typical French one.Used in many clocks from the 1850 period right up to the mid 1900s. It has the typical count wheel, bell strike used in the earlier period, later they went to a ... morerack strike system. The Broguet adjustment for speed is also typical. If you remove the bell, you will find some numbers stamped on the round plate that indicates the length of the pendulum in pouces. The slate case is also typical of French clocks of the 1880- 1910 period. Do not be misled by the replacement key, keys are the first things lost on an old clock, followed by the pendulum bobs. The original key would have been double ended to make the speed adjustment on the small square over the XII as well as winding the springs. The gilt bronze case has a superb display look to it with it having all its original gilt bronze ormolu finish which is just to die for. The clock has a classical palace urn top with the urn having a top quality blue champleve design to it. To the centre of the clock it has a matching blue champleve panel, both of these are of excellent quality and in excellent near mint condition. On both sides of the case their are scroll embossed panels which add to the overall display look. This clock is one of the nicest palace ormolu mantle clocks i have had in a long time with the unusual blue and copper champleve panels and all original ormolu finish to the case it is a real display clock which would pride of place wherever it is displayed. Antique ship clock Steam Punk Clock Nautical clock heavy brass repro French dial
For sale is a beautiful authentic solid aluminum and brass Vintage French Cafe Clock. Ships clock, nautical clock, steam punk clock. The case is made of heavy cast aluminum, 3/16" thick. It is painted in a matte black finish. The 11" solid cast brass bezel holds a glass lens which is held in place with a steel ring clip, not glue. The clock measures 3 1/2' from wall. The bezel is attached on one side with a heavy hinge, and is released on the other by a heavy brass thumbscrew. The vintage French Restaurant dial is laminated to a wood substrate and fixed to the case with three screws. The clock weighs in at just under 6 lbs. See the photos. The hands are painted steel. Nice Antique French Brass Carriage Clock in Case R & C Paris (Restoration) c1880
This nice antique carriage clock was manufactured by R& C of Paris. France. The brass clock measures 4-3/8" tall(not including the handle) x 3-1/4" wide x 2-1/2" deep. The brass casing is in good undamaged condition and none of the beveled glass panels are damaged. The main winding port just spins around with no resistance(unable to wind) The smaller winding port does not turn. The hand changing port works fine. The face appears to be enamel with Roman numerals. The seconds finger is missing. It comes with its original key and wooden case(the case is a little beaten) Certainly worth restoration and most definitely needs a good clean. The underside has a round bell like dome. ANTIQUE FRENCH CLOCK STAND/BASE w/ GARNITURE Antique French clock base/stand with two candle holders. The main piece is approx 5 1/4 lbs. 9" wide, 14 1/2" tall and 5" deep. The opening for the clock is approx 3 1/2" The candle holders are approx 2.5 lbs each. 4" wide, 12" tall and 4 1/4" deep. All three pieces are decorated with porcelain. I was told this is French from the 19th century. It was obviously painted/ re-coated since then. I don't see anything missing or broken on any of the three pieces. I know little about vintage clocks. SUPERB ANTIQUE FRENCH ALABASTER MANTEL CLOCK c1880 STANDING GILT ANGELS SUPERB ANTIQUE FRENCH ALABASTER MANTEL CLOCK c1880 STANDING GILT ANGELS Alabaster. Unlike many materials, has the ability to change with the light. This wonderful clock shows off that ability beautifully aided by the superb gilt decoration. The opalescent colour is similar to"Kendal mintcake" Almost see-through but not quite, with wispy milk-coloured clouds swirling through. Standing on a shaped base, the strong lines of the waist lead to the gently domed top. Onto this lovely backdrop are fitted the superb gilded decoration along with the two beautiful winged angels, holding aloft the laurels of victory. All the gilding is original and rich. The centre cabochon is of a wonderful red stone. The creamy porcelain dial sits easily within the stunning case. The ... moregilt surround decorated with"egg and dart" moulding, while the dial has crisp, clear numerals and ornate hands. Inside the clock is a quality French 8 day pendulum movement. Complete with its original numbered pendulum. It has a gentle, unobtrusive tick and keeps very good time(this is a timepiece, so there is no chime) It stands 13 inches high, 8 1/2 inches wide and just 5 inches deep. Condition: alabaster is notoriously"soft" And although this clock has a few minor marks, nothing that detracts from the overall effect. There is a small chip to the dial(at the 6 o'clock position) but yet again, you have to have it pointed out! The movement has been full stripped and cleaned, ready for another century. A wonderful. Lot of 2 Antique French Clock Movement/Parts- Open Escapements-Ca.1880
From an old clock repairmans estate. Both movements are open escapement with nice porcelain dials& thick beveled glass in the bezels. One movement has been cleaned& the box said complete& looking it over I feel it is& just needs to be put together. It has its original pendulum with matching serial numbers. Ruby pallet jewels. The second movement is complete but for the back plate bridge that holds the rear verge pivot. It also needs the rear verge pivot. One of the pallet jewels has been replaced with a metal pallet jewel. Both are very high quality movements with great dials. Great for parts or restoration.
