Very Impressive French 19th Century Figural Clock with an Open Escapement Movement. In Fully Working Condition An impressive French clock. This clock is made from spelter. Not bronze. Beautiful porcelain dial, but with some damage around 3 o'clock. On the front of the base, the deer is missing its left antler. The dog is missing half of one of its front legs. Also, the clock's left foot has been repaired. These are all the problems that I have noticed. The movement runs and strikes perfectly, but should get a good cleaning. Pendulum and bell were removed to take a better picture of the movement, but both are included with the clock. Pictures speak for themselves, but do let me know if you have any additional questions. Outstanding Late 19th Century French Bronze Striking Mantel Clock. With Sevres Hand-painted Panels and Dial in Excellent, Fully Working Condition Outstanding clock from the late 19th century. The porcelain panels on this clock are simply superb. Beautiful original gilding is virtually intact and hand painting is very detailed and colorful. I have sold many porcelain panel clocks on eBay, this one has the best panels by far. There is some bronze tarnish on the clock itself and one small very minor finial on the left is missing, other than this I see no damage of any kind anywhere. The clock runs well and strikes on a round gong. The pendulum's serial number matches the clock's movement, thus the pendulum is original to the clock. Description Ca. early 1800. Hand signed pendelum. 1770 stamped on back. Rosewood and ebonised vineyard clock Morez movemente with double strike on gong. Brass, zinc and mother-of-pearl inlay, scalloped edge. Backpainted glass Dial. These unusual clocks have a lot of personality. Sometimes called“ oeil de boeuf” Bull’s Eye) or“Morez” Produced near Morbier in the Franche-Comté region of France. Near the Swiss border, from the late 17th century to the beginning of the 20th, these clocks are decidedly French in appearance. They’re a very good investment.

Lg. Antique French Champleve Enamel Clock-Medaille D'Argent Vincenti 1855-AS IS
This is an antique French champlevé cloisonné. Enamel mantel clock being sold AS IS for parts or restoration. It is not working. There is a good sized chip on the corner of the glass on the front door, there is a missing finial on the right front top, and a missing finial on the top. The enamel is in great shape, but the brass is discolored from age. It has a double mercury tube pendulum, but they were leaking, so the red seals were removed and the remaining mercury has been drained and disposed of. The movement is marked Medaille D'Argent Vincenti 1855. When the pendulum swings, the minute hand does move. There are also extra parts that may or may not belong to it, but the missing foot is there. The face has a couple faint hairlines, but otherwise looks great. The clock case is made of brass and beveled glass and has a glass access door in the back. One end of the key is used to wind the clock and the other end to set the time. From a clockmaker's estate comes this heavy brass wall clock movement manufactured by ODO of France. From research on the Internet the makers of this movement were the"Odobez family. Based near Morbier in Franche Comté, not far from the Swiss border. The ODO company in its modern form was founded in 1920 by two Odobez brothers and has been producing chiming wall clocks ever since, becoming. In the process, one of the most famous French clock making companies" The movement is stamped with a logo on the rear plate. MARQUE DEPOSEE, ODO, FABRICATION FRANCAISE, Bte, SGDG" and also with"Z, 22" The movement is a 2 train spring driven movement. Although the strike side mainspring barrel and some associated parts are MISSING. There is also a threaded hole approximately 1" below the strike hammer arbor that appears ... moreto be MISSING a part or parts; and the suspension spring is MISSING. The parts that are here are very dirty(oily) but are presumed to be usable/ workable. The mainspring is currently good and by moving the'crutch' back and forth by hand the escape wheel advances. Applying pressure to the lower(largest gear) on the strike side moves all the other gears up to the fly and advances the rack and moves the hammer. I am not an expert so there may be other issues that are not stated above; I am selling this movement"AS IS. AS FOUND" The isosceles trapezoid shaped clock movement plates measure approximately.1" thick with the overall height being 4.82" and the width at top 2.34" and bottom 4.40" The distance between the plates is 1.41" The distance from center to center. Winding arbor hole to winding arbor hole is 2.52" The distance center to center from the winding arbor hole to hand shaft is 1.76" Please see the 10 detailed pictures for what is included and its condition. This gorgeous romantic themed Moreau clock is from France and dates back to the late 1880's. The young lady on the clock is gorgeous and she is draped in a long gown with one graceful arm extended upward. She has a dove resting on her shoulder. She is made out of a metal bronze/spelter material and is free of any damage or repairs. It measures 12" high and 15" long. It has 2 matching spelter vases adorned with sweet little cupids and cascading grapes and leaves. They are each 12" high. The clock is running at this time. French Manufactured 9' Antique Grandfather Clock
Antique French-manufactured Grandfather clock. Circa 1900, of majestic proportion. Sans provenance;however, based upon an internal plaque, this clock was certified to be in full working order on 1 January of 1911. Research indicated that the clock was probably purchased by Monsieur Marcel Blottiere for use in his business, possibly a butcher shop, in the central France town of Sivigny Sur Braye. Monsieur Bolottiere's name has been painted on the clock dial, a practice common during this era, to promote business and as a subtle sign of affluence. The chime mechanism of this clock is uniquely interesting, having hammers that are activated through a drum, pin and string arrangement whereas British and German manufactured clocks of this and earlier era employ a gear, cog, hammer mechanism. The chimes are of turned hollow pipes vice more normal ... moresteel rods. This magnificent example of a Grandfather clock stands a towering 108 inches tall by 26 inches wide by 21 inches deep. Antique French Carriage Clock Porcelain Face with Key Running Here is a great French brass carriage clock for your buying consideration. Recently picked this clock up at an auction. Required no servicing. Has been running since I first wound it. The clock appears to have a porcelain dial. The dial does have a hairline crack emanating from the center of the face and going out to the"3" The face of the clock has black markings for the minutes and gold ones for the five minute marks. The hands on this clock are just beautiful and do match. Beautiful brass case on this clock that has some patina and loss of finish from age. Great looking turned columns on the four corners of this clock case and handle. The rear door of the case has both hinge pins on it as well as the know. The inside of the door has the number"775" impressed ... moreon it. Did nothing to clean the case but wipe it down. All five pieces of the glass. Including the top piece, are beveled. All the pieces of glass are in good condition, no cracks or blistering. Only exception is one of the left side piece that is cracked horizontally near the bottom of the glass, which is still intact. Nice brass movement on this clock. The back of the movement has no maker name on it. The spring of the movement feels sound when keyed. There is a vintage key that came with this clock. The clock has been in running condition since we brought it home. This is a time only clock. The clock stands 4.75" tall(5.75" with handle up) By 3" across, by 2-5/8" wide. Approximate Dimensions: H-15" W- 6" D- 6 The Case: The brass case is in excellent physical condition. There are no breaks. Cracks, chips, etc. There is some marks on the top of the case. The case has a wonderful established patina. I believe the case has not been polished for a a very long time. The Glass: The beveled and convex(front door) is original to the clock and in excellent physical condition. I can see or feel any chips. Cracks, etc. The glass has a"wave" to it. The Dial: The dial is clean and looks fine to me. The dial has the name of the jeweler that sold the clock. Shreve. Crump + Low was a high end jewelry store that sold top of the line items. Antique Large French Figural Bronze Brass Marble Glass Crystal Regulator Clock
Beautiful Fancy Late 19th/Early 20th Century French Bronze and Marble Figural Striking Crystal Regulator Mantel Clock in Superb. Fully Working Condition Beautiful clock from right around 1900 with a bronze lion figure on top. Certainly a higher end French crystal regulator. The condition of this clock is outstanding. There is a tiny edge chip in back door glass. Right next to the door's knob and one of the marble columns has a well done repair. Other than this I see no damage anywhere. Bronze has nice patina that certainly looks original to me, the hand painted porcelain dial is superb and signed by the clock maker(who is from Lyon) The beautifully veined carved marble is simply superb. The pendulum is unusual and really fancy cast, does not seem to be temperature compensated, but I believe it to be original to this clock. I have another ... morevery high and crystal regulator with a similar type pendulum. The clock runs well and strikes on a bell(this is also unusual, most of the crystal regulators strike on a gong) The movement is unmarked, but the dial is signed. Pictures speak for themselves. Outstanding Large French Porcelain and Bronze Vase 19th Century Clock(Timepiece) Garniture in Superb Condition Outstanding French vase clock with an exceptional dial. The top finial may have originally had four leaves on it- it has three now(but looks great as it is) Other than this. I see no problems or damage whatsoever. The condition of this clock is superb in all respects. The clock even retains its original pendulum- which has the same serial number as the movement. This clock is time only(no strike) it runs perfectly and its movement is in outstandingly clean condition. The lamps came with the clock when I purchased it and they match the clock pretty well, but I do not believe them to be an original part of the garniture. The main reason is that the clock's vase decoration is outstanding in quality- ornate and very fine. The lamps, ... moreon the other hand, are much more rough. One of the lamps has chips on it bottom. But, although the lamps are included with the set, I believe the whole value to be in the clock itself. Up for bid and fresh from an auction is this fine Vintage 19th Century Antique French S. Marti Bronze Clock. Please note I am no clock expert and will describe the clock as best I can given my lack of knowledge. The clock seems to be in good working order but has no key and so is being sold as is for restoration. What you see is what you will get. The clock and pendulum are numbered and do match numbers. The matching number is 19049. The clock also has the number 41 stamped on the movement on the back. The pendulum seems to have a correction done by the clock maker. The 3 in the stamped number is crossed out with a etching and has a number 4 etched above it. Movement is stamped on the back as S. Marti Medailles D' Bronze. I cannot make out any numbers for a date. The clock weighs about 17lbs. and the cost will be 50.00 for shipping and ... moreinsurance for any where in the U.S. excluding Hawaii and Alaska which would be extra. Making this piece a very precise instrument. It comes with a paper dial. This beauty even has a SECOND hand on the lower part of the clockface. Taking 3 steps( per second, making this time piece a very precise instrument. The scale of the second hand has Arabic numbers and 60 partitions; one for each second. The hands are made of black metal. There is an extra metal alarm hand on the higher part of the clockface. To set the alarm. The dial around it has a scale in Arabic numbers. Very Rare Striking Conical Pendulum Clock by Emile Farcot. In Fully Working Condition Emile Farcot was a French engineer and clock maker. Famous for inventing unusual types of clock movements. These include the swinging cherub clocks(with pendulum swinging front-to-back, rather than left-to-right) the conical pendulums and his extremely rare annular clocks(I will be listing one on eBay in the next few days) His conical pendulum clocks are highly prized and are in some of the world's foremost museums(do a quick search on Google and you will see) This clock is more modest version of his great museum clocks, but it is still a very rare and highly desirable clock, especially since it is a striking version(vast majority of Farcot's swingers and conical pendulum clocks are time only) The movement has a few dates and names of the previous ... moreowners engraved, but no mark of the maker. However, it is certainly by Farcot(I have an identical clock in every respect with the movement marked by him) Farcot usually, but not always, stamped his movements with his logos. The condition of this clock is very good- the porcelain dial has a few hairlines, well shown on the photo, otherwise I do not see any problems. The clock runs and strikes perfectly- I am attaching a video clip showing the operation of its pendulum below. Having said this, these clocks require very careful setup- I will provide you as much as help as I can in emails, but if you are still having a problem running it, I suggest contacting a local clock master. Outstanding Late 19th Century French Boulle Marquetry Striking Mantel Clock. In Excellent, Fully Working Condition These clocks are named after the great French artist and cabinet maker Andre Boulle(1642-1732) He was the first to create these spectacular elaborately intertwined inlays of tortoise shell and brass. Boulle clocks are highly prized and collectable(and if the clock's case was made by Boulle himself. It is worth a real fortune) Inlay work is well preserved- there is some cracking in the tortoise shell(as virtually always) but I see no missing pieces of either shell or brass. There is a small repair at the bottom edge of the porcelain dial, other than this I see no damage of any kind anywhere. The clock runs and strikes well. THe movement is signed by Duru a Paris(apparently a Parisian clock maker) The movement is quite clean. ... moreThe pendulum and bell were removed to take picture of the movement, but both are present and come with the clock. Original& 100% authentic fully-signed Couaillet Freres French carriage clock with repeater and alarm fuctions. Circa 1900-1910? This clock is in need of a service as the movement will not currently run. The repeater and activating button both function beautifully and the chiming is deep and rich. All portions of the movement wind freely& easily. This clock was functioning perfectly and keeping excellent time up until I stopped winding it several years ago and it has sat since on my desk as a purely decorative item. I recently wound up the movement but it will not run. This clock is fully-signed twice'Couaillet Freres France' on the lower left portion of the inside movement plate(please see photo#4) and on the inside base of the case(please see photo#5) There is also a stamping that reads'11 Jewels' The clock is complete ... morewith no missing parts and comes with its original brass double-ended key. All original bevelled glass panels are in beautiful condition, with the only flaw being a barely perceptible small fleabite to the bottom right corner of the unique convex/bowed front glass, please see photo#10. Original enamel dial has a few light hairlines on the extreme portion of the upper left corner. There are several service dates lightly engraved on the underside bottom. The clock measures approximately 6" in height with the handle fully extended in the upright position and a width of 3" across the front and back, and 2.5" across the sides. This solid brass clock is beautifully constructed and is deceptively very heavy for its size. This item is a genuine antique French carriage clock and should not be confused with the cheap and poorly constructed Chinese knock-offs that are sadly currently flooding eBay and other sites posing as vintage clocks. This clock is being sold in"as-is" condition and I'm assuming that it only needs a simple service to restore its full functionality. Rare maritime wall clock. Either French or British. Word around dialface reads: HONI SOIT OUI MAL Y PENSE, which is the motto of the British chivalric Order of the Garter. Near the serpent heads on bottom sides reads: DIEU ET MON DROIT, which translates to"God and my right" the British monarch coat of arms. An unusual piece, the case modeled and cast in the form of an open umbrella with scrollwork panels on a stipple ground, the center with two winding holes, the outer edge mounted with twelve enameled copper plaques with Roman numerals. The back fitted with key-wing movement beneath a circular cover. Not visibly signed or marked. Dimensions: 10" diameter x 3" deep. Weight: 5.64 lbs. Condition: Overall. The clock is in good condition with appropriate signs of age. The winding key is missing and the condition of the movement is not known or guaranteed and the back of the case has not been removed.
