We are offering an antique picture frame that is inlaid with mother of pearl in butterfly and leaf patterns. The Lacquer has some very minor crazing which only adds to the attractive appearance. We purchased this at an estate sale and the granddaughter said her great grandmothers picture was in it. But her brother took it. This is an oval antique gold frame with a charming print of two boys and their dog fishing at a brook. The frame is 10 1/2 inches by 8 3/4 inches. The print has an embossed oval matte. It has the original glass and wood backing. It looks like someone added the wire for hanging recently. No chips. Cracks or splits in the frame, but the paint does have wear(see photos. This is the perfect size frame if you want to display an 8 by 10 oval picture.

I don't know much about this frame and it seems to be a rare one as I can't find many comparables. The only thing I can find is the Lincoln Badge and that alone is extremely desirable. It looks like this frame was painted red and might have been originally blue. I took a photo of a area that may have been welded at one point of time and still has a crack that needs a welding. Antique WWI purple heart wound certificate~original frame~co, C 302nd engineers
A beautiful 1919 engraving. These were given to WWI soldiers that were wounded in battle. Lady liberty is honoring the soldier with a gesture reminiscent of European Knighting. This Soldier was Leo Hecox company C 302nd Engineers. The sign measures 21" X 17" in its original frame. These accolades all bear the signature of President Woodrow Wilson but I am sure these are either part of the engraving or are secretarials. I have seen a few of these but they are by no means common. Beautiful piece of military history and a beautiful work of art in its own right. 100% original so bid with confidence. ANTIQUE Victorian Aesthetic CARVED Black Lacquer Ebony Picture Frame 1800's WOW
This is an Antique Picture Frame. It dates from the mid 1800's and measures 12 3/16ths by 14 3/16ths inches. It is black lacquer over wood with gold gilt. This is frame in frame construction. One wood frame inside another. The outer frames black lacquer is cut or carved to reveal the chalk or plaster underneath that is over the wood. Shown in my photos is a corner view of the construction and a view of each corners hand cut decoration. It has a cheezy 1960's Robert Wood copy print in it, I'm sure you can do better than that! Good condition for its years, but not without minor flaws.

It is in a round Ogee wood/plaster frame with a painted grain finish( common to this Era) This Manger Scene is covered by Convex glass and t he picture and glass are approximately 15 inches in diameter. The entire Picture measures approximately 21 inches in diameter including the frame. This Print is in Lovely condition and all colors are brilliant. The frame is sturdy but not without some wear as some of the painted grain finish has worn off in places. It is backed with cardboard and picture is held in by small nails. A gold piece of cording with a picture mold hanger was attached at sometime to the back of the frame by two small eye hooks. This is a fine example of Religious Art especially for it's age. Don't pass this one up! A gorgeous. Ornate picture frame from the Victorian era, in fantastic condition. Beautifully made, this wood frame has very elaborate carved flowers and scrolls decorating the corners and center parts of the frame. There are a few very small, minor losses to the frame and I have taken photos of those. This is a solid frame and is in excellent condition for its' age. The frame will fit a work of art that is 16 x 20. The overall size of the frame is 20 x 24. The reverse side of the frame has an old cotton cord still attached and has some old pieces of backing paper on the edges. Frame does not have any glass or backing board. This unusual Ladies Dressing table mirror measures 10” wide by 14” high and has had it’s beveled mirror replaced over the century and a quarter since it was made. Beside an almost microscopic crack 1/8” just under the amazing cast of Baucus at the top of the mirror this antique art is flawless. The verdigris patination on the lower right corner of the frame adds to the appeal. The only marking appears to be the number 1 on the back behind the relief. Please email with any questions.

ANTIQUE WALNUT/GILT SHADOWBOX FRAME WITH NICE LARGE TINTYPE PICTURE
This is a wonderful deep shadowbox type walnut frame with gilding on the inside. it has the original wooden backing. it also contains a tintype colored picture of two women. Maybe mother and daughter, maybe sisters. I have had this hanging in out CT home for many many years and always looked at it and thought of my sister& myself. I am sure it is a New England piece. The walnut part is perfect but the gilding is not as pristine as you might like as it has a mottling effect. It never bothered me as I felt it added to the age of the piece. The girls are hand colored. One girl in a white dress with blue satin belt and satin ruffling. Black high top shoes and she sports a gold bracelet. The other girl is in a detailed black dress with velvet trim, nice lace color with a gold pin and I believe a gold ring on her finger. She also sports high ... moretop buttoned shoes. These are hard to fine. Also in good condition and with a tintype included. Measurements are 15" x 13" x 2 1/2" deep. Weight is over 3 pounds unwrapped. This is just a fine example of both frame and tintype.

Incredible George Washington"authentic copy of an original signed etching by Henri Emile Lefort"stated on print) portrait of this nation's first. This apparently was taken from one H.G.C. Hill's private library also stated on the bottom of print. I do not know of the age of the print as it was hidden away in friends collection for years. The print is beautifully done on an antique type parchment paper. It seems to be of a very high quality. I do know that the frame is antique and probably turn of the last century or there abouts. The print is an impressive 22" by 28" and the frame is a massive 32" by 38" It is trimmed in an ornate gold around the picture and outside of frame. Stained in what appears to be an"early american" stain(ironic) The wood is also covered in a clear varnish. But most of the silvery plating has worn away through the years. This button has an odd shank, and may possibly have been part of a cufflink or other piece of jewelry. Which is impressed into the wood. I believe the wood is made of walnut, but am not certain. It is a solid piece and has a good weight to it. It is numbered on top and sides#2672. Antique Engraving In Antique Frame "Beethoven Chez Mozart" Gravé Par P Allais
This is a very large Engraving of“Beethoven chez Mozart” engraved by Paul Allais from a painting by H. Merle. In 1787 Beethoven played by request for Mozart. The engraving is in a massive antique gilt frame. There is no glass. There is wear to the frame. Please see the pictures. There is also a small cut in the engraving in the upper right corner. The frame measures 52 1/4 inches long. 42 1/4 inches tall and 3 and 3/8 inches thick. The engraving measures 34 7/8 inches long by 24 inches tall. It also has what appears to be the original matting. It is probably from the 1800's. Local pick up is always welcome. We can also ship via greyhound package express. They now offer home delivery to most locations. This is an antique oak wood picture frame. Hand made, that can stand alone or hang on the wall. There are four screws that hold the mounting securely on the back. Outside dimension of the frame is 5-7/8" x 6-7/8" Picture size with the glass cover is 4" x 6" Wood board under the glass is covered with fabric for holding the picture in place. Antique oak frame with scalloped edges; Doves, 1897 print by H. Vogler, matted
Doves antique art print. From the painting by H. Vogler This print was a special supplement to the"Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News" Published May 1, 1897. This print was actually two pages in the supplement and was joined together. There is slight crease in center where this joining occurred. Frame is oak. Rails are 3" wide. This was in my custom framing shop and I asked an artist to paint a black edge around the edge that duplicated the scallops in the wood. The image is 13" x 18 1/2" A beaded black fillet surrounds the image. The mat is green suede. Wonderful piece. This came from my custom framing shop and art gallery that I closed last year. It had well over a $300. price tag on it.

Off to her immediate left is the sea. She sits next to a stone wall. Image size is 8" x 15" The image is surrounded with a wooden fillet; The matting is archival. An ivory linen fabric. The frame is antique. A dark wood with ornamented edging. Rails are 1 1/2" wide Glass is conservation non-glare glass. Filters 99% of UV light. This is a stunning piece that came from a custom framing shop and gallery that closed.

The woman is blonde with a flowered dress and a pink satin cape. She feeds the bird out of a stone doorway. Hollyhocks grow in front of a grilled window. The oval image size is 10" x 14" The frame size is 16" x 20" It is a reproduction antique frame with ornate decoration at top and bottom. The frame is gold leafed. Mats are archival. The top mat is burgundy linen; the inner mat is metallic gold. Wonderful period piece that comes from a custom frame shop that closed. There was still a price sticker of $319.00 attached.
