B&L Frame Heater - Vintage / Antique - Retro 50's? - Possible Steampunk design?
Working Bausch& Lomb(B&L) Frame Heater- Vintage/ Antique- Retro 50's? Possible Steampunk design? OK. So Steampunk wasn't around when this was designed. My guess is that this dates to the 1950s or possibly the 1940s based on the design and the older style Bausch& Lomb logo. This frame heater works using an infrared heating bulb. Placing the frame between the aperture in the top and the green heat guard the heat from the bulb warms the frame until the plastic becomes pliable for adjusting. The unit is approximately 12 inches tall with a diameter of 7 inches. Electrically the heater is in good working condition and could be used for its intended purpose. This cute post card with two horses and a dog was mounted when I aquired it. It says 1909 on a tag in the back. I did not take it apart to see the back. But took it to be correct. I think the 9 1/4"X7" frame is very nice fiber glass with gold trim. Very well made. In the close up picture you can see a very small chip on the bottom corner. Hardly noticable. Antique Victorian Brass Fancy Picture Frame Easel Stand Pat. 1894 Matching Pair
This auction is for a Beautiful Matching Pair Antique Victorian Brass Fancy Picture Frame with the easel stand and are actually marked PAT APR 24-94. They are both marked PAT APR 24-94 on the back of the frames very clearly with a matching number(possibly style number) near the patent markings. The marks are engraved on the backside of the frame. They are in good shape with some signs of age and also still have the glass with the frame. The edges of the glass are rough cut. The frames have a lovely. Leafy design. These are large frames and has the original patina in good condition and measures approximately 9" across and 12" tall. Each weighs almost 2 pounds. They would make a nice addition to a collection or would also make a lovely touch to any home on any Vanity or Dresser. Very fancy with deep flower and scroll work. The opening ... morewould display a picture size of approximately 4" by 6" These would look great with either a picture or a mirror which can be obtained locally. Nice patina to the metal and can be cleaned easily or left as is. It should polish up nicely to bring this frame back to its original glory but looks great with the patina- I did not try to clean it in any way. Classic Vintage Cameo made in Italy. Italian Silver with Marcasite highlights around the detailed ornate silver bezel and framing. The hand carved natural shell cameo depicts a lovey young maiden with a flowing hairstyle and a lovely high collared dress- probably depicting the Victorian high fashion design. A perfect picture of a stylish young lady looking her best. It has both a pin clasp and a folding bail allowing it to also be worn as a brooch or a pendant. The coloring of the shell with the darker background sets off the lovey depiction of the lovey maiden pictured here. It measures 1 3/4 inches tall and 1 1/4 Inches wide. Lovely pair of Art Deco Bausch and Lomb 12K Gold Filled Bi-Focal eyeglasses/spectacles/eyewear. The pattern is beautiful. Both temples are intact as well as the original nose pads. On the inside of the bridge it reads B&L and it reads 1/10- 12 KGF on both temples. The lenses are in remarkably good shape considering their age. There are 3 scratches to the lenses. Small, but there. They come in their original case which is navy blue, hard shell with spring closure. The inside of the case is lined with blue velvet and has the name and address of the original owner, just in case the glasses were lost.they could be mailed back. The case also includes the name and address of the original eye doctor who issued the prescription from Waco, Texas. There is some minute patina towards the ends of the temples. Other than that they are a great pair ... moreto have or to gift.
