VINTAGE ANTIQUE Early 1900's MICHIGAN Cash Register 7 #7 COPPER Plated
Wow. What an awesome find! I am NOT a n expert on these types of items. So please ask any questions prior to bidding and I will do my best to answer them. First. Let me start with what I know is wrong wit h this item. The re is at least one chip in the glass and the keys(to unlock the drawer and the lid) are not present. In addition. From the photos I have lo oked at online there should be a"topper" but there is not(though. Please note, I did not find an identical register ei ther. So I am only gu essing) There are also a couple of chips to the marble on the UNDERSIDE(see pics) Other than that and a little bit of peeling wood under the drawer. I think this piece looks exception al for it's age. From what I can determine this particular register would have been in its prime sometime prior to 19 20. It is a Mich igan 7 and all ... morethe butto ns are functional- you depress them. They pop the drawer open. There is a little arm that holds the lid open and another lever of some sort on the right side(inside) but it may be missing the handle(it just looks like something else was affixed to it at one time) I'm not sure if this is what I've heard described as a lid counter or a customer counter. When you move this lever it operates some of the smaller numbers. Sorry for such a lame layman's description but it's the best I can do with my limited knowledge. The only numbers I found that could possibly be serial numbers were 18562 stamped on the drawer and then NM5 stamped on the lock. There is also a number stamped into the lid. But it's very difficult to read- it appears to say"12-5" but I cannot be sure. We search ed all over the register. But could not find any other numbers so I'm not sure if one of these numbers are significant in bein g able to date it and/ or place a value on it. But I wanted to mention them in case they can aid in making your deci sion. See pics at the link below) It is EXTREMELY heavy. So my best guess is that it is copper plated over cast iron(or maybe it

Antique slate electrical panels heavily populated with copper knife switches and bus bar. Approx 20 pieces total. Over 150 sqft. Totaling approximately 2,500 lbs. the largest pieces are 82" X 42" There are dozens of large copper knife switches and hundreds of feet of heavy copper bus. Exact measurements of each panel are avl. This is a BIG(17" tall with handle upright) Double strapped, Beautifully hand painted, Covered Firkin/Sugar Pail, with handle. It is blue paint with gorgeous hand painted Pink Roses and Buds. The design is stunning and it is"marked" by the artist with a small smudged thumb print(pic 10+11) The staves are tongue and groove, and the straps are really nice with copper nails and staples. The straps are separate and holding the staves together as one piece, not nailed into the pail. The bottom is beveled and grooved into the staves. The top is gorgeous and out of round, and the strap around it is held on with tiny square nails. The piece is showing shrinkage of the wood indicating age. Alor Indonesian Antique Moko Boiler Kettle Drum Bronze Copper
Used by the Abui tribe of Alor Island. Indonesia, the Moko was thought to be a gift from the Gods. They were kept as family treasures and believed to be the home of anscestral spirits. They were an essential offering for a bride price. They were played in ceremonial dances. Also. Some families have kept their mokos to the present day. The earliest examples were imported from Vietnam. After the 19th century. They are believed to have come also from Java or China. The moko drum was used as currency until the early 20th century. In 1914 the Dutch colonialists abolished this practice. Except for its use as a bride price. They destroyed 1000s of Moko drums in an attempt to enforce the use of the Dutch guilder as the local currency. Concluding from our research. We believe that our offering is an authentic Moko drum from the late 19th or early ... more20th century. The closest example that we could find is a 17 ½” drum in the Tropen Museum in Amsterdam which is pictured on Wikipedia. Hollow bronze kettle drum with copper top& four handles. Eight diamond-shaped medallions arranged symmetrically around the top and bottom bells. Offered is this antique porcelain electrical"knife switch" with wood handle. I'm assuming the metal is copper but I'm not certain. On the bottom is"LEVITON 9913. Measures 2 5/8" X 2" X 1 1/16" The wooden handle moves the switch from side to side. There are two dark spots on the porcelain. There is a very small chip on the top at one of the screws. A very appealing WMF engraved crystal table centrepiece bowl with applied copper rim. Although forever associated with the Art Nouveau movement this piece from the famous german company likely owes more to the Arts and Crafts school of design. Simple in form. Well proportioned with a hand worked copper rim and minimalist hand engraved decoration the bowl has an understated look and feel of quality which gradually endears itself to the beholder. The glass has a clear ring to it typical of crystal. Stamped to the rim is the WMF beehive mark which dates the piece from 1909 onwards. This is a good-sized luster goblet. It measures 5 1/4" 13.3 cm) in height. 3 3/4" 9.5 cm) in diameter at the mouth(or top) and 3" 7.6 cm) in diameter at the bottom. The area decoration has a beige background. The embossed designs are on both sides. On one side, there is a raised blue lattice ware basket with roses, blue morning glories, small orange flowers, and green leaves. The opposite side has the same design, but the basket is orange instead of blue. The copper luster and beige background are under the glaze and the embossed baskets with flowers are all over painted. There is a nice large beaded trim around the outside rim. These were done in the 1820s and 1830s. This one has an exceptionally nice look. Antique Vintage Chased Copper & Glass Shakers Arts & Crafts Style
Here is a very nice set of salt and pepper shakers. Made of chased copper over glass. Chased" refers to the design embossed into the metal. These are made of sheet copper laid over glass, and the tops are copper over plastic. The copper on the tops is not fitted as closely, therefore, the tops are easily dented, as seen in the photos. The copper was cut and embossed with a floral and leaf design before being applied. These shakers are 2 3/4" tall and 1 1/2" across the base. These should polish beautifully, but I will leave that to the individual taste. Some people prefer the copper patina. Personally, I like the look of freshly polished copper. Regardless of whether or not they are polished, they are an awesome example of the Arts and Crafts Period. Thank you for checking out this item. This bid is for a great antique Windsor No.25 stove top water heater. Made of cast iron with a copper coil inside. This was made to sit on top of a wood stove or other heat source to heat the water that would be in the tank usually close by. As the heat would rise it would heat the water in the coil and make it circulate though the tank. There is one small chip on the back side of the cap rim.
