Amazing and wonderful OLD copper or brass hanging lamp. All items in house were 1920's- this appears to be about the same vintage. Total length about 15-inches. Lamp/Censor( piece approx 8 inches high by 6 inches wide. Hanging straps twisted copper wire. Glass"beads" are hand made. Bubbled, one or more cracked(see pics) 1.5-inches in diameter. I am NOT a dealer but was at one time- haven't seen an antique designer piece like this in a long time. This isn't a new reproduction from Pier 1 or whatever- this is OLD. It measures a large 80" x 81" It is filled with gorgeous fabrics including lots of copper madder. Tans, paisley, green, and more. Completely hand quilted at 7-8 stitches per inch. There is 3/4" quilted grid throughout. Hand pieced and treadle machine bound with a 1/4" binding. Very very thin and crisp. It has never been washed! There are a few(about 3) areas with storage residue. This auction is for a lovely antique circa 1800s lush silk velvet textile remnant salvaged from a runner of the Victorian era. It has a unique texture. Is quite soft and is not of the norm, i.e. its pile is not a tight, tight weave, and it just has a whole different feel to it. This is not meant in a bad way. It is just a unique type of velvet. Please look at Photo 4 to see its texture at a closer view(this shows its texture/ribbing in best detail) It is in very good condition with no major issues. However. Inherent with age and storage, there are two very small slits that are not even noticeable unless held to the light and there may be a discoloration mark in one area, but at this time I cannot even find it. One will also see thread wear at the bottom edge(see Photo 5) The last photo shows the 5/8" hemline at the one edge. Its fiber ... morecontents are a silk/cotton blends with a cotton base and is in a gorgeous shade of rich copper/rust, in my opinion. Although it was originally a Victorian piano runner, it is very pliable and easy to work with. It is very suitable for doll jackets, hats, embellishment of coats, as well as bears. It should be noted that due to age and storage, this should still be handled with care. Please do NOT pull on the existing slits or it will damage it further. Also, do not wash this or soak this;it is suggested that it be left as is, which in my opinion, is in fine condition. This does not mean the fabric is brittle or deteriorating. It is just"old" and should be handled gently. This is not flimsy thin. I wish I had a better camera. As none of my photos does this beautiful tray justice. The three photos show it without flash, with flash, and outdoors. It is 12" in diameter and absolutely lovely. It's a copper tray that's silverplated. The contrast between the silver and the copper etching(the entire design is etched) is stunning, but my camera doesn't really show it. It is stamped International Silver Company on the back. The tiny letters are copper colored. I couldn't get a decent closeup with my camera. This came from my grandma's estate. It was a wedding gift. And she got married in 1940, which is 73 years ago. She kept the tray in nice shape. It's old, so it does have a scratch in the center. There is another small spot on the front where the silver has barely worn off so the copper peeks through. Description ANTIQUE COPPER LUSTRE CLOCK VASE circa 1860 Made during the time when not every household could afford a clock on the mantelpiece. This charming ANTIQUE COPPER LUSTRE VASE has a painted CLOCK FACE on one side to give the impression of wealth. The VASE stands approximately 7 inches(17.5 cm) high. The other side of the VASE bears a picture entitled'HOPE' the Sailor's betrothed watches his galleon sail away. The end of one handle has been broken off and reglued. Very little of the original pottery is missing from this break. There are no other cracks. Chips or restoration. If you have any questions please ask.

Copper & Brass Antique Spouted Kettle Very Big English Fireplace Water Kettle
I am selling this for a mature couple who acquired this while living in London in the late 70s and early 80s. They have a fabulous collection that they are thinning out and I am confident it is all authentic and high quality. This kettle is very large. It is about 11 inches in diameter at the widest. 8 1/4 inches tall not including the handle. Including the spout and handle it is about 15 inches long and about 14 1/2 inches tall. It weighs about 6 lbs. It would have hung from a spit in an open fireplace to keep water hot at all times. It is believed by the owner to be late Victorian and the evidence seems to support that assertion. The body is constructed of spun copper with a slightly concave bottom which has been flattened in the middle from wear(with a lot of minor dings) The body is made in two pieces. Joined together with solder about ... more1/4 inch below the raised ridge(which has minor dings) There are four decorative rings incised on the lower part of the body. The lid is also spun copper in two pieces with a(appears to be) cast brass finial which was peened in place. There are numerous dings to the lower part of the lid, probably from dropping. It still fits well and adds to the charm of the entire piece. The opening for the lid is about 3 1/2 inches. The spout is cast brass in a beak shape. The lower part. Where it joins the kettle is rounded on top with five flatish facets on the lower side. The spout gradually transitions to a rounded beak shape at the spout. There are four rings incised on vertical part of the spout. The spout is soldered to the body and it looks as though it was resoldered at some point, it isn't the neatest soldering job I have ever seen but again it adds to the charm. The handle is brass. About 1/2 inch thick front to back and cast. The handle is attached to the body by four copper rivets. At the top is a tubular copper handle which is soldered with a single seam facing the body of the kettle. The handle shows numerous charming dings. The handle still shows tool marks and there

This is a old door lock set that we removed from our antique door. It looks like brass or copper not sure which one or both. It surely needs to be restored as needs some cleaning. Hi! Thanks for stopping by! Grab a cup of coffee; hopefully you will find something you can't live without at a price that makes you happy. I have lots of different things this week. So if you have a few minutes to spare, just click on the link below to see them all. I'm always happy to combine items to save on shipping! This is a vintage copper oil lamp filler by Sternau& Co. From the early 1900s. This was also used to fill the burners under the old Sternau coffee makers and chafing dishes. It stands about 4.25" from the base to the top of the center finial, 5.75" from the base to the top of the spout, is 4-1/8" in diameter at the center of the rounded container. This has the original patina and I decided to leave it that way rather than polish it, as some people prefer this aged copper appearance. I'm not ... moresure if this is solid copper or plated, but for sure the handle and the little bridge between the container and the spout is copper plated, as what appears to be brass shows through on this area. This has a swirly handle and a long, thin, curvy spout that has a tip cover that is attached by a chain. At the upper end of the handle is a round knob-like pump that can be pushed in and out and seems to have a nice spring action. The finial cover unscrews at the top of the oil can. There is patina over all of the surface and some verdigris and darker patches that can be seen in the photos. There is one ding in the surface of the body on the right center area when the spout is pointing toward the left as in the first photo. The base of the oil can is stamped with the Sternau& Co logo(S&Co) surrounded by a circle with the words Trade Mark and Patented around the logo. The Revenge 1588 Antique Nautical Butler Crumb Brush (Fireplace) Brass Copper
Revenge was an English of 46 guns. Built in 1577 and captured by the Spanish in 1591, sinking soon afterwards. She was the first of thirteen English and Royal Navy ships to bear the name. Antique Maritime themed butlers brush Made in England. The piece is marked The Revenge 1588(I have seen other listings say 1888 but it appears to say 1588 on ours) The piece measures apprx. 11.5 inches when closed and open. Brass needs to be polished but I will leave it up to the new owner to do that. The piece is in great shape and will clean up beautifully. Engrave made in England. There is a small dent right along the M and the E in the mark. It looks to be a result of the engraving and not of damage to the piece. Please ask questions before bidding. All sales are final.
