Antique Bronze Door Knocker - Floral / Nut Finial
Antique bronze door knocker. Weighing approx. 2 pounds. It has a nut finial on top of a handled"vase" with floral accents. No maker's mark seen. But the back is heavily oxidized. Possibly forged- the reverse side of the knocker is a little uneven around the arch with pitting, but I can't say for sure. Measures 8-1/4" long x 4-1/2" wide. Condition is antique. As shown in photos. The 2" long mounting screws are probably original.

16”+ Antique Military Americana Bull Steer Horn Bugle Trumpet w Copper & Bronze
For your consideration… Very neat. Very old steer horn hand made bugle. Item is likely an antique from 1870-1920– I don’t know enough to judge age any better. But the type& quality of the workmanship& materials used helps the horn to speak for itself. I cannot verify if it a true military bugle or not, but I’ve seen other examples listed as such. This bugle has a hand-forged rim of copper around the large end. The mouthpiece is bronze(or copper. But looks bronze- hard for me to tell) with markings on it I cannot decipher(could be a makers mark) At the bottom of the mouthpiece is a rim of iron(looks like iron and is heavy and hard) Below the rim of the mouthpiece is a separate ring of copper– this piece moves about 1/8” Measurements are approximately– 16 ½” end to end straight across. Large end is 3 ½”x 4” slightly oval) ... moremouthpiece has a diameter of 11/8” copper rim around large end is 3/8” wide and 1/16” thick. Condition– I am no pro and cannot grade this horn. With that said I found; one 3/16” crack on the horn below the mouthpiece, one3/16”x1 ¼” chip out of the horn under the copper rim(large end) lacquer-type finish has rubbed off in areas of handling/use. Makers Mark– none I could decipher– see pictures of the mouthpiece. This is one of many quality items from the same estate.This estate contained many items verified(some even documented) from the late1800’s thru the late 1930’s– some earlier. Some later, but predominantly within this time frame. I am not an expert and do not know the age of this wonderful piece. My best guess, judging by the workmanship and the materials used, would be no later than 1920, but could as early as the 1870’s. Please take a good look and judge for yourself prior to bidding. As in the photos there are some flakes in the bronze but otherwise it's a sound. Handsome piece. I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of its age. I am offering a couple of my old bronzes for sale along with books this week. I have collected both books and animal bronzes for many years and now it is time to offer some of them to new homes. His shaggy coat is well done and he has a sweet look on his face. This soulful fellow was part of my mother’s collection for many years. After she passed away he came to me and now it is time to offer him to a new home. I know she owned this old bronze for over 40 years and he was old when she got him. I think he is either an American bronze or maybe an English bronze. He is not signed that I can see. He has a rich brown patina color and measures 7 3/4 inches long. Description I am happy to offer for sale a very lovely top quality mahogany server that is not only beautiful but is very sensible in size and use for today's living. All intact and excellent condition. This piece could go anywhere. Antique decor as well as contemporary due to its fine artistic style and adournments. Age is not definite, but from what I know and who I know, we believe it was made sometime between the very late 1800s to the very early 1900s, up to 1920. Our gut feeling(see dovetails in picture) is turn of the century.1900. THIS CAN BE PICKED UP ALSO.BUT MUST BE PAID FOR. The server I believe is from Europe due to the estate I purchased it from and its woods and marble are extraordinary. The bronze applications are solid and so lovely as well. ... moreIt definitly has that rich expensive continental flair. The server measures 55 1/4" wide. 21" deep, and 62" high to the top of the mirror. Speaking of the bevelled heavy mirror, which is in excellent condition, the frame has a marvelous bronze decoration in the middle that looks similiar to a cartouche; where one would expect family initials. All the wonderful bronze ormalu decorations are intact and magnificent. The Italian marble is very outstanding as well and in excellent condition. There were two(because I felt them) fleabite and I mean tiny.nicks on the edge. They are not noticable to the eye. Other than that the marble top and two flanked panels of marble are all intact, NO cracks or stain, etc.they are very nice. The three doors all have original locks. The doors are elaboratly carved. Each end having a basket of flowers and the middle looks like a shell of some kind. They were very tastefully executed. Shipping for this piece varies due to distance. Ship fees in Suffolk. Antique Sargent Entry Lock Set, Cast Bronze c.1885
Item description Antique Sargent cast bronze entry door lock set c.1885. This is an excellent example of one of Sargent's more popular entry lock designs. The knobs are a more difficult to find entry sized set and show below average wear. All of the pieces are beautifully finished cast bronze. The lower key hole of the large plate has been opened up a bit. But is otherwise a very fine piece. The face plate of the mortise lock as some light rub marks, but they are not particularly noticable. The mortise lock and solid brass strike plate are reversible and will work with both left and right hand doors. The push buttons on the lock face plate lock/unlock the door knobs without using a key. However, you do need the included latchbolt key to open the lock when this feature is utilized. The deadbolt is operated from inside or out with the deadbolt ... morekey, also included with the set. As pictured, the lock is set up for a right hand swing door. If you need it changed, let me know and I'll take care of it for you. This is a complete set, ready to install. The set includes one cast bronze faced reversible entry mortise lock. One cast bronze entry and standard size knob, one entry door plate, round knob escutcheon, single keyhole cover, a solid brass strike plate and a working original deadbolt& latchbolt keys. Also included is a reconditioned knob spindle with new set screws. The set screw holes have been deburred so the screws turn in easily. This is a very nice, fully functioning lock set. The lock's backset to the keyhole is 2 7/8" The lock face plate is 6 15/16" tall x 1 1/16" wide. The lock box is 3 11/16" deep x 4 3/4" tall x 5/8" thick. The large door plate is 7 3/16" tall x 1 13/16" wide and the round escutcheon is 2" in diameter. The keyhole cover is 1 3/4" tall x 15/16" wide. The knobs are 2 1/4" in diameter. This is an old antique Victorian era very large ink well of a beautiful lady with long flowing hair. She is 6 1/2" tall by 8 1/2" by 9" She is surrounded by floral pansies and has a bronze patina over another metal. She is marked JB 488 which is Jennings Brothers who made all the jewelry caskets. The ink well is missing its glass insert and the lid does not look original. It is not attached but just sitting on top. This still is a wonderful inkwell and looks fabulous on a desk. Antique Vtg Bronze Brass Black Americana Smoking Pipe or Plaque Wall Hanger
This is an antique bronze wall hanger that looks like it could be for smoking pipes or pool sticks. You could just hang it as a decorative wall plaque also. It measures 13 in. wide and 7 in. high. The hanger has a black americana theme with a black american man's face. Wearing a hat with leaves behind his shoulders. There is some green paint in his shirt and in the leaves. His face and neck are bronze and the rest of the piece is a shinier brass color. The face is great with a big happy smile and side glancing eyes. I do not know who made this piece or it's exact age. Beautiful Antique Carl Sorensen Art Deco Verdigris Patina Vases 1920s-30s Here is a lovely pair of bronze vases created in Eastern Pennsylvania by artist Carl Sorensen in the great Art Deco period of the 1920s- 1930s. Bronze with verdigris patina and lines of bronze showing in a circular pattern around the bottom and moving up to midway on the vases. Beautiful craftsmanship. Mr. Sorensen eventually sold his wares through Roycroft and Tiffany. Working for TIffany in the 1930s. Some of these vases were numbered. This pair is not. This spectacular pair of vases show age, dings, wear inside of them, because they are vintage items. They appear to have been used a lot in their lifetime. They show rubbing on the bottom of the feet, although the signature Carl Sorensen is clearly visible, along with the S and Bronze mark. Antique Bradley & Hubbard Ornate Cast Bronze or Iron Bacchus Mirror Frame

It is beautifully designed in what appears to be Bacchus along with some great scroll work. Although not completely certain. We believe it is either cast bronze, or cast iron with a bronze finish. It has the Bradley& Hubbard mark on the back along with the numerals 3504-3509. There is one screw and tiny plate holder missing on the back that holds the mirror in place which we only mention for accuracy as the other four hold the mirror in place. We do not believe it to be the original mirror though we are not completely certain. It has some wear throughout consistent with age and use along with some wonderful minor patina, though no damage that we can detect. Antique 1800's 19thC Spelter Brass Bronze Japy Freres Era French Figural Clock

This is a French clock that has come from the same estate of a collector that we have been selling for the last 6 weeks or so. Check our other listings for more items from this same estate and keep watching as we will list more items from this estate in the coming weeks. This clock is fairly complete from what I can tell however I am no expert so have provided many pictures so you experts can see exactly what you're getting. This French clock is made from several different types of metal. The back is tin. The fancy Roccoco base is brass or bronze as well as the figure with the part that the figure ... morerests on being spelter. The entire clock has been painted with gold paint, not original but done long ago. The brass or bronze sculpture depicts a cherub with a horn in it's left hand. This hand has been broken off and then glued back on, see pictures. His right hand used to be holding something as well but as usual it is missing. This piece has a porcelain dial that does have a couple of hairlines as shown. Besides the previously mentioned defects, the flaws are as follows: The tin back has a bow in it, there is a hand missing, the clock does not run, and the inset panels in the front of the base used to be marble or alabaster but have long ago been replaced by tin. All in all this is a great quality clock that would be well worthy of restoration. It is rather large measuring 15 7/8" wide X 5" X 16" tall. This unusual and unique antique letter opener is a souvenir from the establishment time of Israel state(Israel was established in 1948) At that time, Jews from all over the world gathered to the holy Land and were highly motivated to establish a state which they dreamed of for generations. This letter opener is engraved with the spirit of that time. On the back of it, there are a Hebrew letters that say“cut, disconnect and to uproot” the intention was, to establish a state from scratch. By that time(1952) those pioneers, made a lot of effort to achieve their dreams. The description of the motivation and dreams can be found in the tiny pictures. Antique African BENIN Bronze Tribal Art Sculpture NIGERIAN Princess' Head Ref: BR220213 This is a large and impressive sculpture depicting a Benin Princess standing approximately 14 inches(35.5cm) high and weighing 3.9 kg. It was sculpted by hand and cast in bronze using the lost wax process. The people of Benin(now known as Nigeria) are descended from the Ife tribe and have been making bronzes in exactly the same way for many hundreds of years. I am not an expert; it is therefore quite difficult to date this piece accurately but I believe that it was probably made in the first half of the 20th century. Of course there is a distinct possibility that it could be considerably older. Antique Animalier Bronze 19th Century Pointer Dog Statue - Very Nice!
What we have here is a wonderful animalier sand cast bronze sculpture of a crouching pointer dog. This indefatigable pooch is locked onto his prey. Whatever that may be. It is signed by the well listed French sculptor Joseph Francois Victor Chemin(1825-1901) Chemin was a star pupil of the great master Antoine Louis Barye. He learned well as you can see. Even emulating the black and green patina that Barye was so famous for. Other than the artist signature, I see no other markings on the piece. It measures 9 inches long from front of plinth to tip of tail. The statue is heavier than most others of this size I have ever handled. It weighs at least five pounds. This period. It dates to the 19th century and stands a little over 10 inches tall. Overall. The condition is very good. In terms of the color, there is some green in the patina, but the photography lights seem to make the green stand out more than it does in natural light. To me it is quite a bit browner with a little green, when it is not under photography lights. Antique Bronze Hunting Dog and Quail Bird Figurine
This is a gilt bronze hunting dog standing on his prey which I am assuming is a quail. It is unmarked but got at a auction that had all kinds of Vienna Bronze pieces and I think this piece is unmarked which happens not to be uncommon. The piece is quite weighty for being so small he weighs 8.5 ounces. It measures 4 inches long and is 2 inches high at its highest point. He is highly detailed and in great condition.

Vintage Antique Bronze Art Nouveau Waterbury Clock Co. U.S.A. Mantel Clock
Antique bronze figural Art Nouveau mantel clock. Woman holding a horn/ bugle/ trumpet, with a cherub. The clock is removable from the base and has several dents as shown in the pictures. Note that it is also split at the side some places. I'm not sure if the clock is in working condition, and so it is being sold"as-is" for repair, parts or replacement. I can read the word"Chicago" on the back but not the maker's signature. The sculpture stands 12" tall at the top of the woman's horn, and about 10" wide. A beautiful, elegant, heavy piece.
