The one with unbroken Glass Eyes is also known as a Best Ever"OLE BLACK JOE. It also has its chrome pin. There is a most interesting history on these Indiana-Ohio fishing lures. Absolutely Stunning! Vintage cast metal sculpture of African Tribal Man Head or Bust as Lamp. This beautiful piece of work is mounted to a smooth alabaster stone base. Sculpture is heavy. Very nice quality work is evident on this piece. Mixed white metals and parts of the hair. Eyebrows nose spike and earings looks to be a gold metal, perhaps brass, not sure? Please notice the detail and very strong masculine features of this male art. There is a light bulb mounted to alabaster base. The bulb socket appears to be an older brass socket with turn key switch and vintage electrical cord. Earings move and nose spike can be removed. I have searched this piece carefully and do not find any markings by the maker or artist. Measures: Base is 11 5/8" long x 5 7/8" wide. Total height is 10" tall. Weighs 13 pounds. No cracks. There are small nicks to the two front corner points had to notice and picture. The back of the alabaster has two curved smooth edges. There is one small chip inder the edge of the back of the alabaster can't see it unless you turn it over. Electrical socket is in very good working order. See last photo with light on. Look at the last picture and notice the cast of green light glowing from the alabaster along the bottom of the sculpture. Truly magnificent! Description: Up for sale is this beautiful lamp made of Alabaster. Marble and Brass! This auction is for the lamp only. The shade is being sold in another auction. This piece has been all taken apart and cleaned and the wiring has been checked. It has a 3 way lamp socket. When we had this lamp apart we saw that each of the brass pieces are marked“MM” with a number. We found other lamps with a very similar design. Although without the brass pieces, that were made in Italy. We also found an Italian Marble Company called Monumental Marble and suspect that these were made by them as they did make lamps. This lamp comes with the shade holder which has a matching ... morestone finial. This lamp stands 24 1/2” from the bottom to the top of the finial. It measures 15” from the base to the top of the bulb socket. The base is 4 1/2” square. The brass set ions on this piece show a nice patina from age. We have given this lamp a gentle cleaning but have not tried to polish the stone or brass. The carved stone around the mid section of the lamp appears to be large leaves. As we mentioned above. This auction is just for the lamp. This beautiful shade is available in one of our other auctions. Vintage UNO fit Torchiere Pull Chain Lamp Fulper Pottery, Brass , Alabaster
This lamp is rare. I have not found another like it to compare. This lamp is also an unusual blend in styles, it is art deco style, but the ceramic body and the alabaster base have an Asian influence. The ceramic body appears to be drip glaze, under it is a thin brass section that has a nice pattern pressed on the metal, it is somewhat dented from the time and use of the lamp. The hardware is brass, Leviton pull chain socket and UNO ring fitting with all 3 original adjusting screws and it has the very faint date of Dec. 24. 12 I was able to notice this in one of the pictures but it is hard to see with the naked eye. The cloth wire is in remarkable condition with a SNAPIT plug( in need of cleaning) The plug is missing the cardboard cover. The lamp measures approx. 10 1/2" x 4 1/4" at the base. The shade fitter is 2 1/4" inches ... morein diameter, and 5 1/2 inches tall. The overall condition of this lamp is good. There are however some issues. The most noticeable being the patina of the brass and the body of the ceramic glaze has sings of age and wear with some mini marks here and there and minimal craze may need a better cleaning which I do not know the proper way to do it and will leave it up to the buyer, no cracks or chips. The lamp has all original wiring as far as I can tell. And after testing it seemed to work fine, how ever I always suggest having older lamps be tested by a professional. This lamp has such a nice blend of style influences. It will go well in any vintage decor or collection. I usually try to make sure all lamps I find are free of pests and when close inspecting this one I noticed there is a signature(Ojawa?at the bottom of the ceramic portion but I cannot read it clearly. Vintage Antique Hand Carved Italian Alabaster Marble Grapes Leaves Table Lamp
For your consideration is this magnificent hand carved Alabaster Table Lamp. It measures 25 1/4" tall total length. The actual Alabaster part is 20 3/4" tall. The lamp is 7 1/2" wide. As the photos show this is a stunning early 1900's piece, with fabulous detail in the carving. Leaves drape down around the top of the lamp, which is urn shaped, with grapevine handles magnificently ornate with grapes and leaves. Due to it's age this lamp does have some chips inthe Alabaster, I have tried to in detail picture them. The ring in the Alabaster, between the handles near the right handle is chipped. Photo number nine shows large chip in ring just up from the base, it is on the back of the lamp. The last photo shows chip on same part of lamp, but on the front of the lamp. Photo# 11 shows that the Alabaster does appear fractured ... moreon the base, however the integrity of the piece does not appear threatened. The age of the lamp is late 19th- early 20 th Century circa 1890s-1910s and for its age it is in excellent condition. There is no major damage at all only a small chip just below the shade. ALABASTER TABLE LAMP BASE WITH METAL FOOT AND GREAT ANTIQUE SHADE
Great vintage lamp with alabaster base and metal foot. Cord is frayed beyond repair and will need to be replaced. Also. One of the chain pulls is missing. Overall height is 23 inches. The shade is 17 inches wide and 9 1/2 tall. The shade is not in great shape and you may not even want it sent. It is torn on the inside and there are some large stains on the inside and outside. One side of the stone base has a dark vein running through it which looks good, to me, but if you wanted a cleaner look, the other side could be facing out and it is uniform in color. Vintage White Alabaster Marble table lamp 28" high Art Deco gray carved urn
Vintage marble lamp. Stamps appx 28" high to finial. The base is 4 1/2" square. The finial is also marble. Weighs almost 10 lbs. White with gray veining. It is in working condition. The hoop and socket older. At some point in it's life it may have been rewired. As there is a hole for the cord to come out of, but it comes directly out the bottom. Please see close up) Very good vintage condition. No major chips or cracks. A little wear around a few or the edges. Please examine pictures as this is a true vintage item. NICE, UNUSUAL 20TH CENTURY CARVED ITALIAN ALABASTER LAMP OF NUDE IN WATERFALL
Beautiful carved alabaster lamp of nude in waterfall. The lamp is unsigned but Marked"Made in Italy" The lamp measures 16 1/2 inches(42cm) H X 7 1/4 inches(18cm) W. This item has been newly rewired for saftey concerns. I have the Age of this item listed as 1900- 1940 but I am not quite sure of the Age. My experience tells me it could be anywhwere from the 1920's to 1950's. A lovely object that displays beautifully. A warm glowing light that becomes the focal point of a room. This lamp is heavy as it is made of carved stone. It weighs over 25 LBS. Overall the lamp is in very good to excellent condition but there is a line(Vein) in the stone which is pictured. You can not feel it for most of it's length but near the right edge you can feel it with your nail. There is however no chip in the stone. Please review photos and ... moreask questions.
