This is a beautiful European porcelain candlestick. It consists of a blue.White and gold base that is shaped like a regular candlestick on a base. Above this is a gilt bronze center pole from which vines arise going out to 3 floral candle holders. Along the vines are gilt bronze leafs that look like oak leafs. At the top there is a cluster of gilt bronze vines with porcelain flowers at the end of each vine and in the middle is a porcelain flower. Please look at enlargement of the photos. The approx size of the candleabrum is 24 inches high by 11 inches wide. On the underside of the base this piece is marked.

Offered for sale is a set of TWO beautiful white milk glass FENTON items with clear amber fluted or crimped edges- one open compote and one melon vase. They were both made by Fenton. In the U.S.A. This is the Gold Crest pattern. The compote measures 8 inches(20.3cm) wide across the longest part. And stands appx. 4 inches(10.2cm) tall to the highest ruffle. The vase stands 7 inches(17.8cm) tall. A U.S. quarter is included in the first four pictures, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance. These are a high quality items of American art glass. There are no chips. Cracks, or scratches on the compote, but the vase has a hairline crack at the base of the neck. It is nearly invisible under normal lighting, but in bright light is can be clearly seen(see picture 5) Both pieces are free from lime scale or detergent damage. The set is made in the royal flute shape with softly scalloped edges. It has a split feather handle accented in gold. The edges are also trimmed in gold. Both pieces have the underglaze blue crossed swords. The saucer is also marked in red with what looks like"12 b/95" or"12 6/95" The cup has a faint"78" and"161" incised on the bottom of it.
