Up for auction is a beautiful Japanese small bowl. It is approximately 4 3/4" across and 2 1/4" tall. I believe it is a porcelain white bowl with red and gold hand painting of bamboo( It looks to be signed in Japanese. Please see the pictures as they are part of my description. The white is thin and if held up to a light you can see the shadows of the paintings on the outside of the bowl. Light weight delicate piece. I see no cracks. Chips, breaks or crazing. I see a tiny, too tiny to photograph ding on the outside near the top. It appears that it was made during the time when they created the piece. I am not an expert in this matter. There are 22 small round sapphires and 5 small round diamonds on the face of the pin. The pin has a chain which has a feather hanging from it and connects the main part of the pin to the AI part. This pin comes from the AI chapter which was at the University of Chattanooga, now University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. This pin comes from an estate. It is marked JRR 59, the original owner's initials and year. This piece is from an estate and may have small scratches on the back due to age. But it is in good condition. I'm not sure of its exact age but we can safely assume that it is vintage. Overall condition is great with no chips or cracks to make note of. The one thing to mention is that a couple of the felt pieces that are around the inside of the lid are loose.Minor fix or they could be removed. Only a slight amount of wear to the hand brushed gold trim. The dish measures 2 1/4" from the top edge of the lid to the base rim of the dish. I love everything Victorian and I have a good collection of baskets and vases. I have a few baskets that I am selling now and they are very rare I have never seen one like this. I know the Hobbs Co is known for the hobnail pieces they do. This one is extraordinarily made. The glass is a beautiful white with an opal and pearl tent it almost looks as though it is cased in. and with the gold crest around the rim and thorn handle it just makes this piece so much more beautiful. This piece is excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or fleabites. There is not one broken hob! which you will usually find on any of these pieces. An Antique White Gold Ring with all original stones removed. A size 7.5 with no obvious knicks. Scratches or issues. There is a tiny inscription. Mary Lou" inside the ring. There is also a likely karat weight mark that is unreadable. With the naked eye and is scuffed enough it's difficult. To read with a jeweler's eye. Our local jeweler confirmed. This is white gold and guessed it is between 10-14K. Weight is 2 grams. There is a setting for a main center stone and two small settings on either side of the center. Stone area. Along the side of the band. This is from the shoebox of jewelry items. We're finally getting to from my grandfather's. Estate. I have no idea who'Mary Lou' is. She wasn't my grandma! The stones were.
