Antique Vintage White and Gold Swag Hanging Lamp Globe - Restoration
Here is an antique/vintage hanging style lamp globe that I believe is quite old. Based on the pieces. I believe this lamp would mount directly on the ceiling and would hang down from the chain that is included. This lamp has a beautifully painted white and gold floral design on it, and the texture of the lamp finish varies from place to place. The top and bottom of the globe are a'rough' white/gold texture, the middle of the globe is a frosted glass with painted white and gold flowers and leaves, the center of the flowers are raised from the surface of the globe. The metal piece that goes on the fitter area is held in place with three screws and has the original glass or porcelain light socket. The original cloth wiring is still in place, although it has been cut, so the lamp would need to be rewired. Also missing, I believe, would ... morebe the piece to mount this to the ceiling. There is a metal rod included with threads that I think would screw into a ceiling mount. The lamp measures about 10" in diameter. This is a great looking vintage item.
