What we have here is just as shown in the PIC's it is a Vintage collectable Japanese worker Wall mounted figure Rare No Reserve. it was found in a shed in central California near carmel California. it is just as i found it it was srapped in cloth andin a Box. as shown in the pi8c's it is cracked but not all the way through. it indicates that it was made in Japan it appears to be before the War. What a find and what a piece of history. Vintage formed metal wall mounted postal mailbox with mail slot, Circa 1940
Sweet! Very solid. Built like a tank! Gauge of metal is heavy, joints are tightly formed. Factory finish intact on the inside and backside is a mottled enamel. Size 7" wide x 10" high x 2 7/8" deep. In good condition despite the weathered appearance. At some point someone painted over the exposed surfaces with green house paint. Angled top overhangs the front surface by 1/8" so water can run off and not directly down the front. Neat thumb tab turns 360 degrees and allows unit to open. Front cover hinged at the bottom, mail slot has a hinged cover flap mounted on the inside and swings freely. Includes a pair of hooks for holding rolled newspaper or magazines attaches with a screw and nut. Metal tab with hole for attaching a padlock. 12 round openings to view if mail is inside mailbox and simple embossed front cover with ... moreword"MAIL. Some surface rust but nothing deep. This speech is written in President Lincoln's handwriting. It appears that this speech was written on paper and then secured to a wood backing. It was then finished over with some type of shelac or sealant. It is a rather Unique item. My guess would be that it was some type of tourist purchase upon a visit to Gettysburg. Again this is only my guess and I am not certain of this. This plaque measures 15" tall by 11 and 1/2" wide by 1/2" thick. This plaque is in good condition with some minor wear marks. There are two stationary shelves having 6" between each level. The wood is washed throughout with a nice warm stain. Up for auction is a AMI Rowe wall-mounted jukebox. It appears to be from the 1960s. Model WRC. The chrome is in good condition with no pitting and almost no scratches. No way to know if it works because it was attached to the main AMI jukebox. All moving parts work correctly. There is no key with this jukebox. There is a note taped on the front glass that states there is no coin mechanism. So that is how I am selling this wall box. This is one of the cleanest and nicest WRC that I have sold. It is an OLD 1930/40's FRENCH THERMOGRAPH by FOURNIER which is WALL MOUNTED as opposed to the more common cylinder type ones. Apparently they were used in the PETRO-CHEMICAL INDUSTRY until the 1950/60's. This one appears to be in WORKING order. At least the temperature change does move the needle. There is only 1 paper disc which is stained as per the photos.
