The compass face has a diameter of 9 3/4" and is made of weighted brass and bronze. It is marked"SPERRY GYROSCOPE COMPANY. INC.NEW YORK" and"GYRO-COMPASS REPEATER/PATENTED MAR. 4, 1919" The compass is also marked Mark XV MOD. O. It weighs about 35 pounds.
