1943 Lensatic British Military Compass Mark III WWII + Lanyard& Case EXCELLENT Genuine British Military World War II Lensatic Compass CKC/C 142 Mk III manufactured by Canadian Kodak Co. in 1942 For sale I am offering a Genuine British Military World War II Lensatic Compass. Marked CKC/C 142 C MK III 1942 on the back and made by the Canadian Kodak Co under licence from Francis Barker(1932) Ltd. Also shows the crows foot arrow signifying being British Military Issue. It comes with its lanyard and case. Which is dated 1943 and bears what appears to be the mark of the letter C around a crows foot arrow signifying the Canadian Military. On inspection: The card rotates well but the oil level is somewhat low. The hand screw for the rotating bezel is working as intended. Tightening to hold position and easily loosening. The Bezel turns easily ... moreand locks tight well. The rubber ring on the base is in good condition. The 360 degree card is clean and intact with no loss of printing. The sighting lens and both glasses are in good condition with no chips or cracks and hold firmly in place. The lens height adjustment and the lanyard ring both work properly. The lanyard has some broken threads and the case has interior wear. There is minimial brassing. With no major damage to the metal. Overall it is in very good condition and shows only appropriate wear and tear. Be sure to add me to your! As well as the 0- 64 Mil scale(one yard at 1,000 yards) Also, you are able to alter the heading reference a known amount without looking at the compass, The front sight has a magnifier to allow the simultaneous viewing of the magnetic heading when taking a sight. To make readings easier, there is a needle freeze mechanism located on the side of the compass that allows a reading to be held.
