Vintage Compass West Germany Dacor Unused In Original Box Professional Model
Vintage Dacor Professional Model DCP Oil Filled Compass- made in West Germany which dates it at least pre 1990. This is old stock from a former dive shop. Appears unused. In its original box with warranty paperwork. Sold"as is" I can find no condition issues with the compass but due to my unfamiliarity with this type of equipment I cant speak to its overall working condition. It still has oil inside and rotates. The band is rubber. Note- the box has some condition issues- plastic hinges aren't intact and there are some scratches on the box due to handling& storage. See photos to judge condition for yourself. Vintage PASTO Germany prismatic pocket compass
Up for auction is a vintage PASTO pocket compass. This is a liquid filled azimuth compass(0 to 360 degrees) with a prismatic reader. This compass can be read by looking directly at the face or sighting with the little 90 prism that works quite well.I dont think the photos can quite show the sight line on the clear lid of the compass. The main compass body is green metal. The lid lens is plastic held in place by 3 tiny brass screws. The compass card settles quickly and finds North. overall agreat little compass. the size is Diameter 1-7/8" at its longest it is 2-3/4" from hinge to end of prism cover. It still has some greenish-blue lead for marking the distances needed. Size: 3" high by 2" across. And face on each side measures 1 3/16" in diameter. It converts Inches to Miles. The"wheel" at the bottom does move in conjunction with the needle to measure the conversion of inches to miles. This looks to be an older/vintage. Metal.I'm not sure of the type of metal. brass or copper? maybe. The lighting and flash really picked up a lot of dusty particles and places that aren't visible with the naked eye. It is mounted in a wood box. The wood box has a gold color inlay on the corners and the top has a gold color ship's steering wheel and corner type frames around it. I noticed some spotting on the front of the box but might polish out. There's a little metal latch on the front. After purchasing from an estate, on the way home, I got to test the compass and it seems to be in good working order. The wood/en box it's in measures approximately 4 1/2 inches side to side and approximately the same front to back and stands approximately 3 1/4 inches tall with the lid/top closed. Vintage C Plath Germany Brass Nautical Compass in Wooden Box NICE
You are bidding on an neat vintage compass from C Plath of Hamburg Germany. This compass is set in brass and in a lovely wooden box with brass inlaid accents. The compass works perfectly and could use a light cleaning. There is a teeny black spec under the glass in the white center piece of the compass- hardly noticeable but mentioning it for accuracy. The one box hinge is slightly off which causes the lid to be slightly ajar. It does close and latch as it should. The compass measures about 3 3/4 inches wide. The box is 4 1/2 inches wide. 4 1/2 inches long and 3 3/4 inches tall. There is damage to the felt lining in the inside top- I think there may have been a plaque there at one time. Vintage Germany Compass with Map tracking Wheel
This compass says it was made in Germany. Appears to be chrome and has some sort of little wheel on the bottom that I was told was run across a map to get a reading on how many miles or kilometers or centimeters to kilometers were being tracked on it. The chrome is needing polishing and there is no glass in either side of the compass.not sure if there was glass. The paper on both sides is clean and pretty clean. Side one has: statute miles, nautical miles and 1 inch to 1 mile with a single arm that moves as the wheel is run over the map. Side two has: Inches to Miles or Versles and Centimeters to Kilometers with one arm that moves as the wheel is run over a map. I can only accept paypal for payment and within 3 days of auction end. Vintage brass compass in a leather case. The compass is marked Germany on the dial. It looks to be working fine. The condition of the compass is very good, the glass has no cracks, the brass case is somewhat tarnished, but otherwise no damage. There is a ring on the top of the compass that goes through a hole in the leather case so a cord can be attached and then you can wear the compass around your neck. The leather case is in very good condition with little signs of use. On the front of the case there is printed in gold letttering: Cumings Brothers"Since 1912" 901 N. Saginaw St. Flint, Mich. The case measures 2" x 2" and the diameter of the compass is 1 3/8" Will make a great addition to your compass, advertising, or Flint Michigan collection.

Pre WWI Antique Compass Made in Germany
This is a Antique Compass from Pre-WWI. It is probably even order than that belong to my great grandfather. I am not sure what type of metal it is made of. On the face of the compass it says it is made in Germany. The case is a style of a pocket watch. Still in working order has a glass face on it. Great piece of history. And a unique and rare item. Authentic. Not a reproduction. Made by Carl Plath Company Hamburg Germany. The company started making compasses in 1876. Until then they were mainly made in Great Britain. Item shows age. Wear, tear, scratches, discoloration, dirt, glass dent/chip/damage(upper left side- like getting hit on a car windshield from a rock, but does not appear to impact the item) and so forth as you can imagine. Either someone replaced the wick in the oil lamp or it was never used. Too nice. History/age of the piece is unknown- found at an estate sale. The gentlemen, who was put in a nursing home, had a huge collection of nautical items. The lantern is visible through the glass so they could see what the compass read. All items appear to be present and in working order- please keep in mind I could be wrong here. Vintage Brass Hand Held Pocket Compass Glass Crystal Made in W Germany Quality
Vintage. Small compass. Appears to be very high quality. The only identification on it is the face says"WEST GERMANY" This dates it to between 1949 and 1990. We found it at an estate sale and my best guess is that it dates to the 1950s. The body is made out of brass with a loop at the top for hanging on a key chain or watch fob. The front is covered with what looks like crystal glass. Measures 1" in diameter(2.54 cm) 1 3/4" to the top of the loop, 3/8" thick, weighs about 1/4 ounce(about 7 grams) Condition: Quite a bit of oxidation and some spots on the metal.
