This horse ... morehead is more rare because it was cast from one mold. This process was known as being"Cast in the round" from one piece. Most casting found for sale are made from two molds. One for the left side and the other for the right side of the horses head. Once the molds have been cast they are joined which of course leaves a visible seam which over time can become loose and begin to separate. The horse head is heavy weighing approximately 8 pounds. It is difficult to get an exact weight since part of the old hitching post is still connected but can be removed if you prefer. The head measures 8" from the tip of the nose to the back of the horses mane. 9" tall, 3" wide, and the opening for the post is 2" in diameter. The total length including the pole is 36-1/2" The original tie up ring is still there but due to age it has come apart on one side. This is a truly wonderful and authentic piece that you would be proud to display. Thank you for looking and please email if you need additional information. DESCRIPTION: I custom ordered this great redware platter in the early 1980's to use as a sign to display in my booth when I did antique shows back then. It has been displayed in my home since 1991. It is 14" x 10" in size. SIGNED: Mary Spellmire. Vintage.from the days at Turtlecreek Potters before Greg and Mary Shooner married and went into business on their own. This would be perfect for the dealer or collector of country primitives. Absolutely perfect condition. No chips or cracks. Just normal mold marks on the back. The signature is hard to see in the photos but if you use the mouse it is to the top left of the stamped pottery mark. And the white marks on the front are just from the flash. Then in 1922 the Hon. Here are four. Hand turned, pine replacement feet for restoring antique furniture or creating new furniture. These are traditional tulip shape which are great for replacing damaged or missing furniture feet. They also are useful for ending out table legs which are damaged or need to be lengthened.
