There are 2 Newel posts, the housed and open stringer(very thick) all the shaped, not square ballusters and all the handrails, even the trim that goes in between the ballusters. These all have white paint over them. But can easily be restored. I have restored many of my own items, and I know how beautiful these stairs will look. They would cost a fortune to find a solid piece of oak this large! I also have tons of door and window trim, and doors too. It is stamped no less than 12 times with an Egyptian hallmark from the early 20th century(see photos) It stands on a base of five leaves. And the body is decorated with flowers and leaves. The screw-top spout is fitted at the lower end with three branches, each pierced with leaves and mounted with a dove. The top of the spout is also mounted with another dove. Each dove is stamped with a maker's mark, the spout is stamped twice, each of the three leaves of the spout are stamped near the bottom, and the body is stamped near the top, base, and underneath the base(the photos show some of the stamps, with a close-up of the clearest one) The repeated stamping indicate the pride and quality ... moreof this piece. This type of item was commonly used by Sephardic Jews for Besamim during the Havdalah ceremony. Very old piece that came out of a Hollywood Estate. There are some condition issues one of the bamboo handles has split/broken(there are three bamboo on each side that are the handles. Here we have a wonderful antique Abram Cox Pot belly cook stove in good vintage used condition. Black and gold trim. Has a number 12. On it. The stove measures about 24 inches tall, by 18 3/4 inches by 20 1/2 inches at the top by 18 inches by 20 inches at the base. Has two areas on top for cooking Missing one grate of two. Has door below for cleaning out ash after the wood or coal is gone. This is a great little stove for a cabin, for heat or to cook on for that great vintage cabin feel. Has a hole on top in back for a vent pipe. Needs to be checked out for safety before you use it. Was only used recently for a decorative piece in our home. Has a little vent flue that slides back and forth for air circulation. Has a wonderful eagle picture on the front of the stove. Looks pretty much original as far as I can tell but I am no expert on antique ... morestoves. The stove may need a part that is missing that I am not aware of.
