Vintage Marinoni frame and fork Campagnolo Veloce 10
Frame built by Giuseppe Marinoni Italian born former racer who is still making custom frames in his adopted Canadian home. As built up. This has been on one test ride of about 5 miles. This beautiful frame has red and white two tone paint job. Classic lugs, lovely details that are not on bikes made today. Features of the frame include that the drive side chain stay and the fork are chrome. This only adds more eye appeal to this frame. The seller of the frame told me that the entire frame is chrome, painted over, but I can not verify that. The frame has a few minor cosmetic dings that I have captured in closeups of the frame. Bottom bracket is Italian threaded. Top tube 57cm c-c, seat tube 57cm c-c, Stand over 85cm(33.5 in) To build out this project. I went with brand new Veloce 10 speed gruppo(13-26 cassette) with the exception of the cranks ... morewhich are Athena 11 speed compact 50-34, 175mm. The wheels are hand laced. Campagnolo Record hubs with deep profile Mavic CXP-30 rims. The tires are Fyxation Session Tire 700 White Dual Comp 28c Folding. Note that the frame and fork have very generous clearances so can handle this very comfortable tire. The headset is Chris King Grip nut as this is a threaded fork. The stem and ergonomic hydroformed handlebars are by Control Tech to go with the high polished Campy gruppo. The bars are 44cm wide. If you have only had skinny round bars. These will be a revelation of comfort. The seatpost is Thomson elite. The seat is not included! This was obviously a labor of love project. And I took care with my choices. The cap appears to be sterling silver as it did take a nice shine. I acid tested it with a sterling result but I really don't know how accurate these home test kits are. When I look inside I do note 2 pin prick sized holes but these are not readily seen from the outside- plus they are extremely tiny. See photo. There is also a small dent to the top of the lid. Overall, it is in very good condition and has such a great angular Art Deco style to it. I would guess early 1900's for age. No major chips, cracks or repairs. For sale is a very nice example of a HEDDON Model 409 Vintage fishing reel. Reel is is great condition with very little signs of use despite its age. These reels have become quite rare over the years. And this reel is complete and fully functioning. Just put it on a rod and you have yourself a very solid set-up. All parts are in great working condition. The star drag, clicker, and handle(rare green color) are all in GREAT condition. No rust on the stainless steel spool or any other metal parts on the reel. If it wasn't for the fact that this is a vintage reel you would think that it was only a few years old. Up for sale is a vintage Sylvania Color TV advertising clock recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition. The following issues are discussed. The clock seems to work but there is a loud hum when plugged in. There is no second hand and the clock does not have a light. There are a few minor rust spots on the surface of this piece.
