BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE 19thc VELVET GOLDWORK EMBROIDERED COLLAR VESTMENT MASONIC This beautiful antique 19th century textile may be a ceremonial collar. A vestment stole or even a piece of masonic reagila. It is made from purple velvet heavily embroidered with goldwork and spangles/paillettes. It is edged with gold metal vestment trim closest to the neck with gold metal bullion trim around the outside. The goldwork motifs are padded and therefore raised and include a crown. A Maltese cross and stars. It is lined with purple glazed cotton. It is decorated in the middle at the front with 2 gold bullion tassels, it has been sewn closed here. It measures about 40"1.02 meters long and about 6"15 cms wide at the widest point. The condition is mostly good. There is some minor wear with age. Violet Priest's Chasuble This Chasuble measures 42" down the front. 44" down the back, with a 52" width. There is a Chi Rho symbol embroidered on the front and the back. It is a nice violet color. With a matching stole that measures 44" down each side, for a total length of 88" The width measures 2" at the top widening to 4" at the bottom. There is no symbol or decoration on the stole. The stole has a dedication embroidered on it.

I acquired this from the estate sale of an elderly woman who collected antique textiles and linens worldwide. It is very old silk with gold metallic trim. The reverse side is a very rough fabric which looks like homespun or toile. Lots of hand stitching. Condition issues: Much of the silk is worn and splitting. The metallic trim is also separating from the silk fabric in areas. Hand stitched repairs are evident. This is vintage 1969 mod Mattel Barbie#1482 Important In-vestment outfit. The shoes are not Mattel but clone pilgrim shoes with holes on the bottom. They have been stored in my smoke free and pet free home. The outfit is not mint. The dress could use a couple of stitches on the hem but it is unstained with no holes. The small green button is on the back, the Barbie label is intact in the vest and the chain belt has red flower attached. It does display nicely on a mod doll. Ornate metal hooks in gold are sewn on in two places. May be a way to tie on the piece and wear it.one of them needs to be sewn back on as it is loose.
