This ca. 1825-1845 solid mahogany tabernacle mirror features antique gilt accents. Ring turned half columns, and numerous acorn pendant finials. It measures 38 ¾” x 17 ¼” overall; 8 ¾” x 12 7/8” upper pane; 21 ¾” x 13” mirror. The varnished surface is absolutely original; some of the gilding has been over painted in the past. The mirror pane has very bad silver in the bottom quadrant and is missing a base block/plinth. The turned half column base has come off but is present. It retains the original chamfered thin pine back and double brass knob hanging array. Its upper pane houses an original 1860/70s original Currier and Ives hand colored lithograph, A View On The Hudson” that replaces the earlier reverse painting. Tabernacle Hymns No 2 1940 Antique Collectible Rare Church Ministry
Tabernacle Hymns No. 2 is an antique hardback book printed in 1940. It appears to be a first edition. But I'm not sure about that. That is the only date in it. It was published by Tabernacle Publishing Company in Chicago, Illinois. It contains 351 hymns. All pages are intact, none are loose, but pages are yellowed from age. Names are written in pen on the inside front covere and first blank page of previous owners. The binding seems to be intact but has some spots and wrinkles on it and is frayed a little at the bottom and top edges. Overall, the book is in relatively good shape for it's age.

For Sale is a decent sized Reliquary or Tabernacle from a Nunnary or Rectory. It is made to fit into the wall between studs and at one time probably had a small light at the top. The scene inside is a representation of La Pieta. By Michaelangelo. The bottom door for the host opens down and the glass is embossed on the back with the Last Supper. Always check corners and edges for possible wear(see scan) As grading is subjective, please look at scan for faults/defects. A postally unused card may have writing on the reverse. Linen postcards are really colorful. You can tell that a card is a"linen" because you can actually see the raised grain of the paper in the image. Linens were produced from the early thirties through the forties. At this time. New American printing processes allowed for the printing of postcards on paper with inks that allowed for the use of bright dyes in image coloring. They proved to be extremely popular.
